The one implication I like about the first-class monsters is is that their influence full on denies recovery efforts of the environments they ravage. Most elders can at least live a bioenergy legacy on death, like Zorah or that Narwa in the lava caverns. But Fatalis burned Schrade centuries ago and it’s still considered a dead land with not even plants attempting to reclaim it. Safi’jiiva of course drains the foundation of nutrition from every land it occupies. So the true danger and tragedy of what one of these exceptional creatures accomplished is not so much destruction in itself but preventing other organisms reclaiming the barrens they leave behind.
Safi prevents Secluded Valley to be reclaimed by organisms due to it's absorption to replenish it's own bioenergy reserves same for the Xeno cocoons absorbing bioenergy to grow but Safi and it's cocoons being dead will change the Secluded Valley like the bioenergy reserves that he redirected there will make plants grow.Fatalis didn't make an appearance for 1000 years and Schrade still remained the same and off limits Alatreon obviously makes every place inhospitable just by existing.
Well do remember that, if bioenergy works the same as regular energy from living things, then Safi dying means the bioenergy it feasted on will go back to the environment over time, thus the Secluded Valley will prosper once again.
The reason Schrade is still barren is probably because Fatalis is technically immortal while Safi isn't, so any bioenergy Fatalis feasts on (cause it has to feed on something) that gets dispersed after its original body dies at Schrade will eventually be reabsorbed when it inevitably respawns from the bodies of humans and returns to that location again.

@@TornaitSuperBird I didnt believe Fatalis could destroy a kingdom in an afternoon until Iceborne's fight. Now I'm not sure where the craziness ends with the black dragons.
@@TornaitSuperBirdgiven how the Iceborne Lorebook and the Dragalia crossover implied that Fatalis come from another world or can cross to other dimensions, hunter turning into Fatalis through it armor don't even sound that far-fetched (i don't personally believe it though).

If I'm being honest, Safi'jiiva is one of the best monsters we ever had. So I would definitely want this guy to make a return someday, along with Kulve Taroth.

An ordinary penguin may have the most power in its hands that can even destroy the universe that we'd never truly know about, this is why you should never judge anything by its appearance.

My theory is that they can absorb the bioenergy from things like trees but they can’t directly absorb it from animals, they have a sort of pouch that leads to the stomach, the purpose of this pouch is to absorb the bioenergy from meat before digesting it
Not gonna lie, your comment has been the most talked speculation ever when it comes to the Jiiva. So many monster vs monster arguments involving Safi, often I encountered the fans of Safi using this speculation as part of their argument. But so far, the Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Divebook never give any confirmation that Safi could absorb bioenergy directly from a living creature. It only says that Safi could terraform the land with its ability to manipulate bioenergy instead.

I love the way Safi's chin (spikes? I don't even know the proper term for the stuff on the back of his jaw) continue moving for a little bit after he gets smacked. It's a neat little detail that helps show the weight of the movement happening, and it's things like that which make me really appreciate your animations
Maybe elongated mental spines? I don't remember any vertabrate with spines on its mandible (lower jaw) but I might be wrong
