Gotta love how Black Diablos tried to cheat her way out of the flames while Tzitzi-Ya-Ku gave some good kicks and attempted to flash Fatalis out of the sky. A little bit suicidal, but he certainly had spirit.

What I've learned:
If you have at least 23000 HP, you can just barely survive Fatalis' Ultimate Attack
22800 exactly, this is what most of monsters that survived lost
Us have 200hp with full fatty armor

Tzitzi didn't get downed/toppled even when hit by fatalis' flames, he even tried to retaliate by flashing fatalis. Sadly it didn't work and he died.

Imagine if it had worked though. It'd be the equivalent of some powerful af deity trying to destroy you from the heavens, but then you say "Screw you", throw a flashbang at it, AND ACTUALLY GET THEM WITH IT.

Other monsters: Have some elaborate or nigh-supernatural element to their abilities that explains their bodacious attacks
Fatalis: Breathes fire *REALLY* good.
To be fair, Fatalis is hinted to have some strong mind corrupting hax and also omega regen/near immortality in various lore pieces(mostly its armor/weapon descriptions). It’s just hard to implement those fairly in a gameplay environment.
Imagine you’re fighting Fatalis, and bring it down to 10% health, only for it to take a nap and shoot up to full health in a matter of seconds. Or you’re hunting it with your friends when all the sudden one of them loses control of their hunter, who then starts chain tripping the remaining three with their long sword spirit combo.

Really felt bad for normal diablos. He had his back turned and looked over his shoulder twice as if saying "did it start yet?". At that moment, he literally looked like a scared chicken about to be butchered. On the third glance, he finally accepted his fate. RIP
Fun fact, Diablos are all female. Monoblos are the male counterparts. Black Diablos are females in heat.

he’s one of the few monsters that can one hit you with end game armor, with the addition of being quick and nimble.

But for the gameplay experience, it can't do that.(Except you give it over 200K health) Because how broke Fatalis is. The multi hits, the ultimate attack(which deals over 60K damage in the second time) and the 66K hp. Shara Ishvalda(event version) probably can beat it. But the chance is low.

Keep in mind: The large monsters (not the ED)that DID survived has to be in full HP just barely live.
Its the "You don't survive this" attack for a reason.

@Pocky Styx funnily enough, when i was making the video in a deleted clip nightshade poalumu managed to put Fatalis to sleep before it could do its nova; thus the only true winner here.
22800 damage is dealt by the nova.
Anything with health above that will survive.
Nova seems to ignore defense and resistances, does raw tick damage.
Edit: may be wrong bout the armor/rezi or exact dmg number part, Yian survived from 22050 with 200 health.
Azure Rathalos trying to fight, then giving up and sitting down before becoming part of the castle floor kind of gives off Thanos vibes.

Mmmh, considering the fact there is about 150 - 200, give or take, damage done before the 950 ticks, a few additional monsters die to this nova. Though I think they would all die in it's second nova because of higher damage, I feel like. Still kinda mesmerizing to see these huge numbers melt in a few seconds like this. Nice vid^^

Love Lunastra's "Bring it!" stance just before tanking the shot that KO'd everyone else.
First she was like ooh what's that nice and warm. Is that you Teo darling as she slowly turns back
Master Rank Lunastra has way too much health. I had to fight both her AND a very, very angry Teostra. I uh....cut off his tail before I went to find Lunastra. Right as I break Lunastra's crown, I slowly pan my camera around to see an absolutely livid Teostra charging at me with murderous rage in his eyes and hatred for me in his heart. I was in full Fatalis armor with my True Fatalis End Switch Axe, just wailing on Lunastra after snuffing The Emperor's flame, my partner shows up, also in full Fatalis armor, just pelting the Empress with his HBG. After Lunastra gets up from all that, I just lost it and went on a hateful rant about her health pool. As I'm ranting, Lunastra one-shots me. I get back to the fight, and my partner lands the killing blow.
Azure Rathalos really just tried to shoot Fatalis with a fireball. Fatalis just said, "Aw, that's cute kid.'
This makes me think of that "this is fine" meme as the monsters just stand there getting scorched xD
What I find quite interesting abt this vid is that several monsters I didn't expect actually did live (If only just barely)
If its possible to modify things like damage, health, etc, it makes me wonder if something like "ARCH TEMPERED LAVASIOTH" could actually stand at least a decent chance against fatalis

Seemns to confirm what the Gigantic Flame does percental Damage whitout Fire, otherwhise some of the Fireweak ones wouldn't survive this.
Would have been cool, if Zorah and Raging could have joined the Experiment, but that would have been a little bit to insane I fear.

I wonder, if you break both fatty horns, does the fire breath do less damage to monsters and not just hunters.. or what if you used his powered up blue flame in phase 3 and see if it kills me the elder dragons.
@Taro Firstly, thanks it was something a subscriber suggested long time ago and we finally got around to making it.
I haven't actually tested the horn break impact on the first two nova that fatalis does; but I think they will be full damage regardless; just because of how these two initial nova's that fatalis does are tied to phase changes in the battle. Most if not all elders will survive the phase 3 nova (regardless of horn break) because it is capped at a much lower level.
I really thought that at least ONE of the Rathalos family would have made it through, but apparently fire resistance just isn't enough.
If I remember rightly half of what makes this attack so devastating is that it ignores armor and resistances. Which is why it's so crucial that you hide behind literal steel structures instead of just stand behind the lance main. It's True Damage the whole way through.
