On such an amazing performance from an actress with Kubrick as the director?
Well said. She was absolutely perfectly cast in The Shining. Her acting was flawless. It's the perfect film from any aspect. Everyone happened to be at the peak of their abilities. Kubrick's best film, in my opinion.
Despite Kubrick's harsh treatment of Shelly Duvall during the production of the movie, she still has managed to hold her own and turn in an outstanding performance.

She actually starred in quite a few Altman films: "Nashville", "Brewster McCloud", "McCabe and Mrs. Miller", "Popeye". It's tragic that she apparently is schizophrenic now and refuses help.

Everyone involved in that movie should've won an Oscar, a Golden Globe an AFI award and whatever else was going; Stanley, Jack, Shelly, Danny, Scatman, Vitali, the guy in the bear costume, the old British woman with the tea cart, the guys who brought and laid the salt/pretend snow, the guys who had to clean it up after, everybody.
She is such a bundle of joy. Jack named her the best actress he's ever worked with. Mind you, Nicholson has starred alongside the female elite of Hollywood.
I know this comment is old but this event is set in 1994, i think round about that time is when she was beginning to slip. There is another video on youtube and it is her in an interview in the Marilu Henner show in 1994 and something seemed not right with her, but fortunately she is getting better now.
