    Merci ! C'est l' Histoire récente des Hommes que l'on comprend mieux . Merci encore.
    Beau voyage dans le temps ! un temps où il y avait moins de pollution . Le chauffeur sifflait, la machine aussi...ils étaient heureux , blancs au début , noirs pour finir et puis ... tous à la douche obligatoire à la station .
    -Le filtre à particules , don't know?

    Heureusement qu'il n'y avait pas encore de tunnel sous le Chanel ! résultat ...1er voyage ...catastrophe... tous asphyxiés?

    That fireman is horrible at his job. Way too rich on the oil, not enough atomizer, nothing but black smoke. There shouldn't be any smoke at all or just a light haze mixed with the exhaust steam.

      @@VT29steamtrain They shouldn't, because back when these engines were running in every day service they were never allowed to run that dirty so it's not prototypical in the first place. On top of that, it's bad for the Engine to be burning that rich, it soots up the flues extremely quickly so they'll need to sand them, or brush them out. Over time sanding the flues on an oil burner will thin the tubes from the inside from the sand eating at the steel as it blows past at high speed. Probably the most obvious effect is it's a tremendous waste of fuel, and as we all know, oil is no where near as cheap as it was back in the day. And it was never really that cheap in the British Empire. Another reason it would be better to run clean, is because nowadays all of these greenpeace environmentalist idiots will look at that and get their panties in a bunch, causing an unnecessary headache for Steam Preservation. As George Carlin once said "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups." So overall it's just better to run the engine clean, It's better for the engine, better for the wallet, and it keeps idiots quiet. Plus it's an accomplishment for the fireman to be able to keep up steam with a clean stack while the engine is working it's hardest, it says the man is good at his job.

      @@steamandsmoke97 Some firemen run the engine with little or no smoke. It depends on the fireman whether they want to put on a show for the public or be as effieciant as possible.

      @@VT29steamtrain A fireman that thinks of nothing but putting on a "show" for the public is a crappy fireman. His JOB is to be efficient! I run full size steam, we burn coal where I am and we try to keep the stack as clean as possible. Once again, over firing and making smoke is a waste of expensive fuel, it's bad for the engine, and it's a bad image for Steam preservation. I pretty much repeated what I just said in my previous comment but apparently you can't read.
