From the West Coast of Canada I have to say 'what a beautiful home'. At the age of 75, like many of your viewers, I know I will never be able to own a narrow boat so I must do so vicariously through you. Thank you for sharing.

I remember as a child reading about the narrow boats in England and always thought it would be wonderful to live on one. I am now 67 and know it will never happen. I live in Australia and doubt I will ever get to England with covid. So I will enjoy myself through your travels.

So envious if your splendid boat. We recently sold ours. It was built in 1983 abd ' the old girl' needed so, so much work doing at it that, in the end, it was crushing our spirits. The joy departed and it felt like a millstone. Anyway the very young couple that bought it at a snip have done wonders with it to make it their home. We know we made the right decision, but when I watch videos like yours I remember the joys of being afloat. Oh well.......we're blessed with beautiful memories of wonderful experiences. Wishing you both well xx
It is always difficult making those decisions, but if the joy is not there for what ever reason, it is time to move on to a new phase of your life. Enjoy those memories

Never had a boat but I've always liked the idea of a reverse layout. I nearly bought a boat 18 years ago to live on when I worked in Solihull but never did and regretted it ever since.

I've lived in my self built VW LWB van for 3 years & seen a lot of vans & boats for tips.. Hands down this is exceptional finish & beauty (im sure it cost a bomb). Everyone says that every build/vid but wow congratulations 👏

Now that is something I could live on. I love being on or near the water. Unfortunately the US doesn't have canal systems like the UK. I think a canal boat would be safer than an RV. So happy I found your vlog. It's going to be fun virtually traveling with you. Carol from New Jersey.
We love the idea of an RV and think we may try it some day. I think the living in a small space is similar but not sure which is safer.

Fran, if you really want to be confident with the engine, you ought to try a short course rather than rely on books.
To power your washing machine, you could have extra solar, and possibly another battery or two. This extra up-front expense eventually saves you money in fuel, and also of course helps the planet. (I love helping the planet.)

It certainly is and is one of the reasons we love this life.
What a lovely boat and lifestyle, wish they had these in the US. My first narrow boat video was the one going through the longest tunnel. I was disappointed then that they didn't show the inside of one of these beautiful craft. But I was assured that there were prior videos that showed them, and here is one. Thank you for the tour.
