    Cool! What was the image generator app that used the AI processor? Want to try it out!

      Alienware M16 R2 have the new ultra processors! I was considering them

      @@Evannd97 Seems pretty cheap. Dk what it will cost in the uk, but I wish it wasn't inclined so much towards gaming. And it would've been nicer if they used an oled display with higher resolution. Don't need 240hz. 1440p is alright but would appreciate more for my screen recording needs.

    I heard the Core Ultra chips on ASUS laptops have an issue where the power settings in Windows conflicts with Armory Crate power settings. Apparently it leads to significantly inconsistent performance in gaming and benchmarks. I almost made the mistake of buying an ASUS Zephyrus G16 with a Core Ultra 9 185H, a RTX 4070, and 16GB of SOLDERED ON RAM 🤢.

    I recently purchased an hp spectre x360 Intel ultra 7 laptop and returned it a week later. I had a hunch that hp is going to stop supporting it in the near future. As a matter of fact something tells me every Intel ultra laptop is about to become obsolete once the new snapdragon laptops come out. If anything Intel based laptops will get a lot cheaper. At least until lunar lake units start shipping out later this year.

      I know this was 3 months ago but returning the X360 was a good decision. I would have said the same thing then that knowing the Windows history on ARM chips, no way that X Elite and app compatibility would be that good that soon. In fact the 2nd Gen Core Ultra chips seem to be the most impressive chips now more than the Zen 5 AMD ones, X Elite and even M3.

    Still X86 architecture . Dog sh!t in my opinion. High time windows and chip makers work together in bringing a powerfull and seamless ARM based SOC like Apple's M1 series.

      Yeah. I mean I think it’s not that bad but agree in general with you.
      Time will tell how good this is and pretty soon as snapdragon elite chips are coming for windows this year. I’m holding out for that. Benchmarks show it’s pretty much the same if not better than M2 levels (just below M3).
      I’d take that.

      x86 still has its place
      ARMs priority on power efficiency makes it a viable option for battery powered devices tho
      the only problem is that emulation makes these efficiency gains almost useless compared to other devices in the same price range (im expeciting that the snapdragon x elite will be quite expensive)

    • @thialbuquerque
      @thialbuquerque Před měsícem

      Yes, but don't you think that ARM might just take part of the market share, but not the entirety of it? And come on, it is not because ARM might be as good as, or even better than x86 in some aspects, that x86 is not good. I believe x86 is awesome, and ARM might be just as awesome

    • @neggas-
      @neggas- Před měsícem

      @@thialbuquerque the only advantage x86 posses is legacy support. But that can be achieved through translation layers. There are literally no added advantage to choose x86 over ARM.
