Thing is I was raised in the same cult as MJ I get it. I teared up when my friends did something as simple as a cupcake with a candle when I was like 23 it was my first time celebrating my birthday.
I missed out on all those little kid activities because it was considered worldy.
Pretty much my entire childhood was taken and as an adult I do long for those missed experiences, but people my age have generally moved onto adult stuff.
My friend had a skyzone birthday party (basically a fancy bouncey house/trampoline park) all the adult were on their phones and I wanted to jump in and have fun but that would be weird so I just stayed on my phone like the other adults.
My friends are talking about sports, music and current events while their kids randomly asking me about video games, anime, and cartoons, and I just have to nod smile and act indifferent 😐
My room is basically the best room in the house big tv, ps5, ac, xbox, pc,quest3, stocked mini fridge and my friends kids always ask to come in my room I let them but I leave and sit in the living room bored because...well MJ.
