I just learned this in my Christian counselors office. This is the little ego/protectors! We all have multiple personalities with ages and certain traits that arise when that one is triggered. I let my 16 year old ego receive forgiveness and healing from Jesus. I knew God was dealing with me in that moment and that ego that has been an issue coming up in my marriage. My husband had made comments several times about feeling like he is dealing with a 16 year old a lot with me. Then that ego came up in my session. It explains why traumatic events felt like a part of myself broke. It’s the self breaking off an ego that God gives us to deal. This woman is wise and there is truth in her words!

I love this, I feel like I do this already. During Covid-19, I got accepted into Family Nurse Practitioner program at Georgetown University. I didn’t want to just stay back and wait for Covid-19 to disappear. I want to serve and help others as much as I can, I hope for legacy. I hope I make it. I love to fight the unknown. It is fun learning and I am thankful for the presence. I found that even in safe comfortable seasons, bad things can still happen. Might as well put yourself out there. I needed this - I too was a 16 years old teenage mom was on welfare, abused by my child dad, and my spirit was destroy - it feel like it was sometime ago now I need to seek back into that girl, that driven dreamer surviving so much becuz now I sometime feel so weak and tired - but I never let that stop me - I kept going in my education, got my AA, my BS, my Medical Coding, Pharm tech, and now finishing my pre-requirement for my RN program. I worked at one of the most prestigious health care company that pays for my education and still securing my 40 so I can continue to provide for my child. I have a son too now, who is amazing, he was diagnosed with Autism, but let me tell you I thank god everyday that he brought him into my daughter and my life because the way his mind is wire shows so much braveness, love, toughness, and help my daughter and I to be reminded what is really truth in life. Just to have each other is more than enough. Stay strong everyone, in our lifetime you, You inside yourself there is one amazing reason why you’re here.

🧡💛 I am so thankful that these kinds of conversation are being had and are available for all. It's been so helpful to hear this especially as I feel quite defeated today I'm in the beginning of my journey for change and direction and I don't really know what im doing I just know I can't do what I had been doing/still do, I feel like I try but when I mess up it's overwhelming and I get downhearted I wasn't sure how to navigate through that, Lisa has given me tools and more insight into how to do that knowing two steps is indeed an achievement(as I've been trying to remind myself daily), not to focus on fear but take fear along on the journey and provide myself with evidence as to why change is good and needed, not as to why it is difficult and I should give up trying. It's things I would say to someone else but I never seem to tell myself. I need to get my hand up and take some ballerina moments. Thank you x 💖💜

I was in Shannon, Ireland working, having breakfast with another co-worker after flying all night from the US without any sleep for at least 24 hours. A guy and a girl were seating across from us, when my friend engaged them in a conversation. My friend commented as to how sleep neglected we were, to that I added; “I’m sure I look extremely tired and not put together. He replied, what you think you look like and what I see you look like from where I am seating, are two completely different things”. I know it might sound egoistic, but until then I was told several times I was a beautiful girl. But this time was different because I was going through so much in my life, depression, even suicidal. I took his words as an example of what other’s saw in me, the strength and resilience I didn’t think I have in a metaphorical sense.
