    Greatest help for my meditation practice. Yongey has a great gift to explain everything in such a way, that it helps to open up all of the eyes that are willing to see. World feels like much better place with you here, dear Rinpoche. Thank you for sharing freely all that wisdom.

    I love guided meditation. It can be difficult to keep the mind quiet while practicing alone. One of the best things you've told me to help with keeping myself in the present, is to not attach to any my thoughts, but to just observe them. Don't make them apart of myself. I really took that to heart and whenever my mind starts to go somewhere unpleasant. I now can pull myself back to the present and it's wonderful. I really struggled with those negative thoughts before that. Thank you Rinpoche!

    I've met an issue in psychaitry where they try to use eastern "mindfullness" with focusing techniques for people who have Borderline personality disorder... Personaly I'm more of open awareness techniques but a psychiatrist with 7 yrears training as a monk said that "selfharm" is actually a focusing techinique because pain brings us back to the moment...

    Hello Everyone...
    Something I'd like to share and hope to help in the search for liberation.
    Realise Truth as unchanging.....
    Envy as the dissatisfaction that will not cannot allow peace...the nature of Envy.
    Bring Truth to our envious spirit and see how the Truth...Light....Wisdom ends the delusion that anything, any circumstances will ever bring an end to its dissatisfactory nature.
    I felt very alone for a short while....as the suggestive aspect of my mind had been stilled...gone even.
    God's blessing can be received and satisfy as before envy and dissatisfaction that the self associated with is not able to receive it....
    God bless all ..I hope and pray this helps any who find it...🙏🌈☯️

    Sometimes I find the body scan happening, is there's an important gut/ brain meditation?, a heart/mind connection? or a head to sacral plexus connection all three, or something similar to what Rinpoche mentions here: One hot hand, one cold hand. Of course, the instructions here are >this is how to do the body scan< I guess i wondered if there are extra related bits and bobs, or if it's not important at all when surprising connections between top to toes or otherwise..

    • @nickochioneantony9288
      @nickochioneantony9288 Před 8 měsíci +1

      some people (me included) felt a body scan "meditation" even during a mundane, boring work... It just happened without any cue.
      We could argue that is the nature of the mind, or Emptiness, or whatever... But one thing that stuck in my Mind is Mingyur Rinpoche's father words: the nature of the mind is like a sky, even if there are storms, the sky is always clear.
      You might experience things differently, but I guess we can't really conceptualize the mind with words, only inherent experiences.

    • @stevior
      @stevior Před 8 měsíci

      Yes, that is a difficult part. I was thinking that's a good reason to practice, there's a wethering of the storm but also a clear cessasion during. It's not something that I have yet control over. But would I? No storm- no sky OR sky, but storm not necessary?!. The experiential part, I guess, is whew I survived it. Hence, our wonderful *Boddhisatva companions!?@@nickochioneantony9288

    The purpose of body scan in Buddhism is to realize the "grossness" of the body in order to break attachment to it. But you won't tell them because teaching renunciation isn't a product you can sell.

    • @BohumilRajchl
      @BohumilRajchl Před 8 měsíci +5

      Body is God given. It is not gross. We should take care of it. Our spirit will be in It and use It for rest of our physical life.

      He is not selling anything. Also he is not teaching asubha bhawna.
      He is teaching mindfulness of body and sensation.

      You can sell renunciation, the Buddha sells it very well. The product is the teaching, worth of a lot.
      The Rinpoche tells about purity, everything is pure and perfect.
      You can meditate on the attachment to the body, you can also practice patience to accept your body, the purpose of the bodyscan is multiple.
