    The real meditation here is to be aware of the person coughing and not be bothered by it 😄👌🏼

      I listened to this session for the second time... and I vouch for you, the person coughing while Mingyur Rinpoche giving insights is actually wisdom in action.
      At first, I feel mildly annoyed, while keep tapping to the awareness... but after the second time listened to this talk, the "annoyance" that what I can call as a part of emotion become blurred to my mind, I'm not ignoring the cough sound, but I'm fully aware of the cough as a pain or irritation to the hearing... the term "emptiness" might relate to this.
      I don't know if what I said make any sense to you, but I can only hope that you find meanings in your meditation practice, whatever it might be... cheers.

      Exactly. I think this is good training for real life situations in which someting insignificant bothers you and triggers a stress response (annoyance). I try to be aware of those things whithout judgement the same as with this coughing person 🙏🏼

      I think this person travels around the world to cough at concerts/meditations/talks etc. :) they are always present.

    the meditation being interrupted twice with advertisements + coughing was the real spiritual lesson.

    I found that the person coughing actually became part of the clouds that was thoughts passing by and soon it really just disappeared out of my focus on being aware. This was great ❤️

    I know that coughing is a forced body reaction. It is because this lady was coughing, that I could choose to be free. When I chose to be free, I started crying. So thank you coughing lady, I know your body forced you to cough, and so does everyone else. Thank you again..

    The coughing was way too much… the person made the experience somewhat confusing but I pushed through out of determination. Thanks for sharing ❤

    It was easy because a permission was given to not have to push out yr thoughts...but you can be aware of thought positive/ negative. Aware of body and where you are in that space. I always thought that you had to Blank out yiur mind in order to be 1 with or have a sucsessful meditation session. So that was really nice 2know...

    While meditation, has anyone noticed slightly dim colors? I'm new at the now culture, and these colors have caught my curiosity.. with this meditation class, the colors were like the crest of waves.. predominantly aqua blue 🤔
    What is that?

    I have been doing this meditation for 1 month. During meditation i am hearing a frequency sound in my ear. Is it normal? I can’t focus on other sensations. What should i do?

    How long should a meditation take? 10, 20, 30, minutes or an hour?

      as long as feels right. listen to your mind and body. sometimes 2 minutes is enough, sometimes I can go for hours.

    Coughing and confusion coughing and confusion. There’s a lot of that mentioned in the comments. Why is this so disturbing? It’s a little cough, a little confusion, the mind grasping for absolute understanding, absolute silence. This is the issue. Expectations we should have a silent mind, be completely quiet inside and out. When become more interested and focused on awareness we become less troubled by the temporary appearances, whether this be coughing or confusion. Confusion is just the mind grasping for mental understanding. Meditation is simply being aware of experience as it is. We are not looking for mental conclusions. 🙏🏻

    Im aware of the woman with the cough, great video but that woman ruined it by not stepping out the room! Needs to be done again but without the woman ruining it please.

    The coughing person should have stepped out of mere courtesy to everyone in that room. Or maybe it was planned to make us practice and understand that we should meditate in any condition 😅
