For anybody struggling with this strat, I noticed Joltz forgot to mention one thing that is *extremely* important to be successful. You have to shoot at Hyperius in a specific location or you won’t burst him down fast enough.
When you first start shooting at him, start at the outer part of his shadow and quickly move into the center of his shadow (you can see Joltz do this in the video). Doing this will allow you to burst him down fast enough.
You must do this because Hyperius hunches over when he goes to do the AoE nova and if you don’t do this, you won’t land enough shots to damage him enough.
Hyperius will no longer shield around 35% health and lower. He will also start jumping and slamming at you. If you get him low enough in the initial burst, you don’t have to worry about the shield deflect. Just keep firing.
On top of this, I personally recommend bringing the Grog Nozzle and a high damage weapon or fast balls. If you don’t burst him down fast enough but he is low enough that he is jumping at you and no longer shields, you’ll need health back quickly. After, just switch back to the Fibber and keep firing. While I fire, I shoot the launcher once to turn off the no ammo. At 0, I fire again to have perma-money shots again. He will usually die at this point before another nova if I don’t burst him down in one go.
My setup I used for this was the following:
Hot-Button Fibber (didn’t feel like farming prefix or Hyperion grip)
Vladof launcher
Double Penetrating Unkempt Harold (fast burst damage for healing with Grog)
Grog Nozzle
Add-ons:
The Bee
Sheriff’s Badge
Chaotic Evil Monk class mod (I chose to go with crit+ fire rate instead of money shot 6. Seems to work fine)
Storm Fastball
First by a mile, nobody was even close!!

You know, depending what version you have updated to, you can fire the vladof launcher until it consumes one ammo per shot for two shots. then, switch to your next weapon, or any weapon, but before the animation of switching out of the launcher, open your inventory, and switch the launcher with the weapon of choice. if it works, you should have infinite ammo until you fire another round of that vladof launcher. you can also switch it out of your inventory, and the effect should then carry over to all weapons, even other non vladof launchers. This is very useful for farming Terramorphous, as you can continuously shoot in his wormhole stage and get the most damage off of him. If you have high enough fire rate and/or damage, you can pick off the tentacles easily. I like using the bitch, because it has a quite fast fire rate. Anyway, if you wish for me to record a demonstration, I'll be happy to do that for you. Keep Kraftin'!

I had this in mind to farm him for a Norfleet, because the one time I got Vermivorous to spawn, I got a Psycho class mod, and the Bee-Hawk combo with the Overkill and some other bonuses never worked for me, since I only got him down to 20% of his HP.
I said I had it in mind, and thank god I didn't bother to just get any fire-element Fibber, because of the specific barrel.

Omar R. I prefer the fire rate or damage prefix, but anything should work.
So, with any Fibber, its shots will split into more shots? Because I'm already farming for it on Normal Mode and I don't want to mess it up when I load my character and farm it on OP8.
And that I'm not very good at identifying weapon parts.
Omar R. You need to farm a specific barrel for that one. Just shoot the ground and you can tell.

Note: to do this glitch, you MUST have a vladof rocket launcher, you cannot use other rocket launchers from other manufacturers. When your fibber gets down to 1 bullet, fire the fibber then after a split second, fire the rocket launcher. You can use other weapons that consume 1 ammo per shot, just not a jakobs weapon. Hope this helped

This won’t work on OP 10, you need slag. It is still possible however.
Before the fight throw slag bouncing Betty’s in the air above his head (stand right in front of him and look straight up). While the Betty’s are in the air, start the infinite money shot chain. As soon as the fuse goes off and the grenades hit hyperious, start shooting at the ground with the fibber. If you time it perfectly it will kill him. Very hard to pull off tho and I recommend finding a Betty with a slightly longer fuse time than normal to give your “Keep Firing” perk and extra second or two to kick up.

@@garrettcrossman3359 lemme help ya dude. So, fibber has GOTTA be in the right hand with the vladof launcher in the left. Get the fibber to 1 bullet. (you can even do this while gunzerking) Every OTHER shot from the launcher will be free for some reason so, shoot the last bullet from the fibber 1st then IMMEDIATELY, like, I'm talking almost at the same time, shoot the launcher. The fibber should shoot nothing but money shots. If it didn't work, try again cuz remember, it's every OTHER shot from the launcher that gives free rounds. Make any sense?

Si Las I’ve been looking around CZcams apparently the only way to do it on op 10 is with slag, and the timing has to be perfect :(

@@PhyrexianGrace Gaige is my first 72 Character, but cannot really deal with Hyperius, Morningstar Glitch also doesn't help because Hyperius is too hard to crit (1 tiny crit spot).
I work on Zer0 right now, but think I will level a Salva first for Hyperius :)

I think the Slag Pimpernel and Duuurp is better - you can consistently get two kills per Gunzerk if you switch to a low level Fabled Tortoise and high level Legendary Titan to zip to the gate and back (and don't forget to switch back to your +6 Money Shot Class Mod for the actual kill). The Fibber with infinite Money Shot may be more reliable, but the Duuurp Pimp is also reliable once you get a good Duuurp and a feel for where to aim.
I was heavily farming for 5 minutes and got 1 tattler, 2 shredifires, and 4 sledges shotgun's
One tattler? I got 9 in 2 minutes. (Dont ask how easily I can defeat Hyperius.)

I just found out something that might go in your "3 things you...". Apprently, the buzz axe can get the drunk effect from the grog nozzle, i was very surprised when my krieg threw 3 buzzaxe (or more, wasn't paying attention).

I totally forgot to get down to 1 ammo with the fib before doing this, but because of this vid I was actually able to kill him on solo just using the fibber and infinite ammo glitch haha It took me about 15 minutes and he actually killed me at the very end, but I was able to finish off the last bit of health with a DP Harold in FFYL lol cheers man!

Hyperius has such a ridiculously large legendary loot pool that getting a Norfleet still takes time.

well pimperhab with the infection glitch combined with a +6 moneyshot com and slag from the magic missile is the ultimate strat now considering I've tried the fibber technique with an alkaline bee and failed miserably
after farming the fibber I gave up and settled on the fire ricochet one
come to find out later, it was the right choice

yeah but at level 72 there is a massive variety of different kinds of the fibber so to get the one you want you have to turn in the quest and if you get the wrong one close your game without saving then re open and turn in again its a lot harder than it sounds sometimes

There is a glitch with Gaige and Deathtrap to make it to where her shields go down. Never tried it myself, but I can try it to see if it's still working or not.

@@AmberBradley97 you can make your shield regenerate instantly after being damaged with gaige but it's kinda useless when enemies have weapons so powerful it takes you down in 1 shot :)
it's a really cool and usefull glitch nonetheless. especially for farming runs
Amber Bradley it still works. I'm a Gaige man and that shield glitch is legit for mobbing. Be careful around bosses, they'll 1 hit you past your shield into your health.

assuming you have enough cooldown on ur gunzerker, you can kill hyperius twice within the duration of one gunzerk to save some time, just keep holding down the trigger, walk out and back in but make sure not to hit him until you get close enough the second time lol

David Bredy What level? because through skill mechanic abuse, I can use a grog nozzle and little Evie to kill terramorphous at level 72 OP 1 within 30-60 seconds.
Joltzdude139 I found an interesting combination of skills on my 72 Sal that let me solo the Ancient Dragons of destruction on OP 1(using weapons that were level 72) just through using a combination of four different skills. I'm not sure if its a listed build, but it was really interesting. Would you be willing to give it a quick listen? (If you aren't busy)

I was farming hyperius doing the Pimper-hab glitch and I can kill him around 4-5 times per gunzerk and I've been farming him for a good few hours and I've definitely killed him well over a hundred times and I have yet to have a norfleet drop.

trizzzet he doesnt explain how to money shot infinite vs infinite shot in general. What you do: when you have 1 bullet in your gun and any ammo in the vladof launcher you shoot your gun JUST BEFORE (not after, not the same time) you shoot the launcher. When you shoot your gun be sure to HOLD the fire so it continues to proc
He does explain it, however he mentioned it once and really quick and should've focused on that part. Thats what me and most of my friends weren't understanding/missing

How can you fight him more than once a day? After I killed him the first time, I left his arena and went back in like what your video showed and when I come back, he's there but when I shoot him it it says somebody fought him already.... am I doing something wrong?

BL 2 Never gets old, but in my opinion left hand pimpernell, right hand ahab rocket launcher with zero ammo, and raidbosses are down in seconds..much easier if you got those weapons with sal.. cheers

Nope. It still works. It needs to be a vladof launcher and it has to be in your left hand.

I'm not sure on exact numbers. It's not very common since he can drop a few different things.
OK, have killed this guy 20+ times and gotten nothing but reachers, evolutions, a shredifier, and a shotgun. Seeing your 39 times makes me feel a little better about not getting a norfleet yet. I like the pimpernel/harpoon combo but will try this one too. Still need to get the hang of the badaboom jump. Only success is jumping backward.

im have in a glitch that happens fairly often where there's only 3 minions and I kill all 3 he goes into rage mode yet still has a shield anyone know what would cause that?

To get back to Hyperius arena its necessary use Salvador? I mean.. if I want kill Hyperius with Zer0's B0re and he kill me.. Can I get back to the arena or i have to save and quit? (Sorry for my bad English)
You can. You just have to do the same think, but use a grog to get a drunk effect and then double shot off of a grenade with a Badaboom.

I need help my fibber in op8 does 2447878 damage and the fire rate is 30 plus and and reload speed is 6 seconds and may size is 1505 is this normal for a fibber and does my fibber actually have that much damage
It doesn't have those stats. That's why the gun is called the Fibber :D

B. Faire it doesn’t. But if you are using the gunzerker you should use the pimperhab, pimpernel in left hand, completely empty ahab in the other and you will wreck any raid boss. You can actually beat Hyperion before he spawns his shield

Still works! I got a hot button fibber, it's a fire variant and I got it with the right barrel (when the bullets ricochet they split and make a circle pattern with a bullet in the middle. Nine bullets all together) and a vladof rocket launcher, now it's just a matter of timing lol I got it to work on hyperius once but screwed up the second try XD

How can you get the correct fibber?
Boxing Fan simple, just complete the quest, then save quit before turning it in. (So the game saves your progress) then go back in, turn in the mission and see what you get, if it's not what you want then force close the game (so it doesn't save) then go back in and turn it in again.

60+ hyperius kills and no norfleet. random drop gods not with me. I'm having nightmares of stacked Evolutions and retchers. Managed to badaboom into the back door few times. Joltzdude has serious rocket jump skills.

How can i get Hyperius to respawn like that when I leave the arena? I am on Xbox360 and each time I kill him I have to save and quit and re-run half the refinery.

oooooooh I did turn in the side mission. I can now see how that would alter the end result. Had I not turned in the mission the game would think I still need to finish it and therefore respawn him. Thanks for the insight.
same gear, same build, but with the added Badass Rank, i can only get him half hp with this.
The same Bee, the Same Fibber, even the launcher is the same, just the damage that's so much less. Yes all the pellets are hitting him, just can't get it to work damage wise.
I killed him 70 times now and have gotten 6 legendaries but no norfleets.

hey joltz in trying this with a purple vladaf (turbulent RPG) but i cant cause it to affect the ammo consumption of my fibber. also, my vladof launcher seems to always consume ammo when I gunzerk. what am I doing wrong? p.s. I'm using a redundant fire fibber. peace!
It only works for weapons that consume one ammo per shot. Redundant won't work since it consumes 2 per shot.
