Amazing video. It was very entertaining seeing different methods to do things. The squashed food was a nice little treat to. Having worm gears probably would have worked better. They give more torque. I also noticed that it tilts sideways when under load due to lack of support for the ram. If you put rollers on the top and bottom that slide down tracks. Maybe for v3

On the next press add gears along the sides because as i see its strong enough but it goes to the side
and could over squishing harder objects wear down and break.
EXAMPLE: 11:06 the crusher loses momentum and slides to the right due to no side support
You could also add little rails or anything to keep it one big punch 😊

if they do metal technic worm gears you could try that, it would give the potential for greater force on your press without gearing down the motors too much.
Big problem with this that could make it much more effective if it was corrected, the shaft is able to move left and right, and that takes away from how much force it’s pushing down with if it wiggles out of way under stress. If it was more securely fit into its track so it couldn’t do that, I think it would be better.
Good thought, although it's more related to the gear ratio not being enough of a reduction to break more stuff, but slower. It's a bit silly that he rates it 5/10 just because he didn't build a high enough gear ratio :D
What do you do with your projects after it's done? Do you disassemble them or store them somewhere?
store them, from what we’ve seen elsewhere on this channel. Some may be disassembled, but bigger and better builds will be stored. Like how his head and working iron man helmet are behind him, and some of his other builds.

I think he breaks most of them, but if it is useful or expensive he may save it like the “super battery”
If you extend the crushing arm in the middle to be a lot higher, you could make it stay straight when it goes all the way down so that all the force goes down inside of pushing off to one side

I have a question, what do you do with all your builds do you just break them down and use the pieces for other things or do you keep them?
In the somewhat middle of the video you can see some of his old creations I think he keeps them if they don’t use to many important pieces

So just some clarification:
Metal gears are stronger, but metal axles are weaker, as they are more brittle and snap when subjected to shear force. Hence, the press is subject to being torqued. I suggest using XL motors, and, perhaps, entirely 3d printed double herringbone gears and carbon fiber nylon axles, which have a higher tensile strength, more flex and higher crush resistance than aluminium milled pieces. For reference, double herringbone gears DO NOT slip or slide, and can move a PERSON.
