Dena, I admire your honesty and your stitching wisdom. Be Well
Thank you! very much. Wishing you good healthy and happiness in this new year. Dena
I enjoy seeing your stitching. I like everything you do. I realized this morning that not only do you inspire me to stitch, but since you take the extra time to look nice for the day, that I should do that too, although I may not go anywhere that day
Janice, thank you for such a kind comment about my taking the time to look nice for the day. My mom raised me saying you never know when a friend might call you needing help and whenever you go out in public you represent yourself and your hubby. She always looked nice, put her makeup on every morning (even when she was 90) and was prepared for whatever the day brought her. I try to do the same in her honor. Dena
I love all of your videos and would watch them every day if you had one for each day. I love to follow your progress on your projects. Thank you for sharing them with all of us. Have a great week. ❤
Nickie, what a sweet think to say! I don't know that I would have enough to share every day, but I am so grateful you are enjoying the videos I put up about my stitching. Dena
Dena, great job on all your progress. You are so inspiring with what you accomplish. Enjoy your stitching this week. 😊
Jeannie, I have been making some great progress this week. Several projects getting closer to finishes and I am itching to concentrate on them. Dena
Dena you sure do get a lot of stitching done on those beautiful projects. Thanks for sharing. Happy stitching
Linda, thanks so much for the support and encouragement. Happy Stitching to you as well. Dena
I enjoy seeing all the variety of things you are stitching.
Iris, thanks so much! I should have even more variety once I start all the 40 planned starts this year. LOL. Dena
Dena, you've made so much progress with all the stitching you've done for both of your bingo/brringo boards! Milo and Buster have both been snuggling up with blankets here as well with the recent cold weather. Happy stitching! - TaMara
TaMara, thanks so much for the acknowledgement of all the stitching the Bringo/Bingo boards have afforded me. We had a nice little warm spell and now it is heading back into the cold again. Stay warm with Milo and Buster! Dena
Thanks for sharing your stitching! Enjoy seeing your progress.
Susan, thanks so much for visiting and I hope you continue to enjoy the journey with me. Dena
Thanks for sharing all of your progress and lovely stitching. I just got back from Flosstube at Sea. We had a great time! Jean Farish,Jan Hicks and Michell from Bendy Stitchy had classes and were wonderful teachers. Food we good. Have a good week. 😊🪡
Cathleen I am so happy you enjoyed your Flosstube at Sea cruise. I was so tempted, but it was a pricey event and we had other travels already planned so not this year. Glad to hear it was a success for you. Happy Stitching! Dena
Wonderful to see your progress and finishes. Happy stitching
Neil, thanks so much for visiting again. I had another finish last night that I will share on my next video. My first of my Year of Wips! Dena
I love your videos. Your projects are beautiful. I always get excited when your video is posted because I know it will be full of goodies.
Thanks Brenda! I have even more goodies to come. I had a finish last night! Hope you are enjoying your stitching this month. Dena
Hi Dena, I joined the Magazine Monthly group and absolutely love Brrrringo. I joined in the middle of the month and just played for fun. Same with the acrostic. In February I will knuckle down and do it fully. So much fun adding a little order to my stitching. And like you I got so much done. Cocoa and her spa days 🥰 Happy Stitching!
I am so delighted that you enjoyed playing along with Bringo! I also am delighted that you are going to join in again in February! Dena
Good morning Miss Dena, I love your By the Bay every time I see it I am so tempted. When you were talking about doing the chain I had a thought, so you can easily remember how you stitched it why don't you write down what you said put the little note next to it and take a picture with your phone. I know I write a note to myself thinking oh I will remember what I mean and don't you know I don't 😅. Thank you for sharing all your stitching goodness with us.
Michele, thanks for the idea about placing the note with the project so I will remember about stitching the chain. I hope you are getting loads of stitching time. Dena
Thank you for sharing with us. I am always anxiously waiting for your next one. It's a real treat to potentially have 2 close together. You are so inspiring with your planning and projects. You have such a calming spirit that shines thru your camera. In one of the segments in your last video, you had on a red sweater with sparkles on the neckline. You looked absolutely beautiful. Red is definitely your color. Happy New Year and God bless you and yours.
Penny, thank you so very much for such kind compliments, both on my videos and on my red sweater. LOL. Hope you are having a great month of stitching. Dena
Hi Dena
Love all of your projects. They are pretty. Making great progress on them.
Take Care & Happy Stitching
❤️🤗🙏🧵🪡🧵🐾🐶🐾❤️
Thanks Linda! I am making lots of progress this week. Hope you are. Dena
Hi Dena - great to catch up as always. It's great when I see a notification for your updates, keep them coming as often as you like
Can't believe I won a chart - woop woop.
I was stitching on The Bookcase from Little House Needleworks whilst watching
Stuart, so happy when I say your name as the winner! I am sure you have already, but email me your address if you haven't. Dena
Hi Dena! Lots of stitching projects for some awesome eye candy! Looking forward to catching up on Thursday! Lori
Lori, can't wait to chat Thursday! I have two acrostics already planned! I am sure you do too! Dena
Dena....glad you got all caught up, I know it was weighing on your mind. You have a couple of pieces that are getting close to a finish. It has been chilly here in the Arizona desert...well at least chilly for us. Since we have been here for 12 years we are no longer used to the colder temps like we used ot have in Ilinois. Our dog definately has taken over any fleece throws/blankets that he can find....Cindy
Cindy, I had a finish this week! Autumn in the Country is done and at the framers. (I had some gift cards from last year I hadn't used). Hope you are staying warm! Dena
Thank you for another video. I bet you will be happy when February gets here. Me too but i am hoping for warmer weather. Weve been in the deep freeze too long. I want the snow and ice to melt.
Kathyn, it is warming up some this week to the 40's and low 50's but we are expecting rain everyday. I'll take the rain over snow and ice any day. Happy Stitching during this cold weather though. Dena
Wow you have been so busy stitching. I have gotten lots done as well. I started the Vivster Canadian flag Quaker and I am loving it. Happy stitching Patty
Patty, I have been seeing stitchers working on those! Glad you are doing the Canadian one. Happy Stitching. Dena
It has been fun stitching with Brringo and switching projects every day! With all the various prompts you stitch for, it makes for a fun variety of projects. Thanks for sharing with us - I definitely don’t mind more frequent videos from you! 🤗
Thank you Sarah, that is so kind of you to say! I had a finish last night I can't wait to share! Dena
Hi! So glad to see you, love your top in first day. And love both autumn pieces. You must be cold at the end 2 warm tops and sweater. Lol I am cold tonight too. Lol
Cindy, yes it has gotten very cold and I was freezing but it is starting to warm today. Rainy but warmer. Dena
Dena I learned a hard lesson that sometimes being in too many activities burns you out. Your hobby can become a JOBBY! Rethink what you enjoy the most and let some things go.
Carol, I did just what you said, I let go the yearly challenge in the Daily 30 group. I skipped a couple of the weekly challenges and now I feel so much better. Hope you are doing well and enjoying your stitching. Dena
@@halfstitchcrossstitch2456 on my way to the Crosstitch retreat at Ft Walton. Makes me happy that you eliminated some things causing you stress. I’m a work in progress.
Thanks DENA...enjoyed everything you shared...best wishes ❤❤
Great progress!!
Thanks so much Devra. I hope you are getting lots of stitching time. Dena
A lot of progress. I don't do prompts. But normally it feels like a fun game. But this time it feels a little bit stressfull somehow. Like you had a job to do. I hope you had fun with it. Happy stitching and a great weekend
Nina, this time I didn't plan well. Having two BINGO games, I should have put on the local Bingo board "whatever BRINGO calls" in every spot so I only had one to stitch, but I did them separately so that meant I had two pieces everyday to stitch. And then with traveling, I missed several days for both boards that I needed to catch up, so yes it was a bit stressful this time. Won't do it that way again. Dena
You keep me going with my own stitching by just watching how you arrange everything! It always works out and progress is made!! Thanks!
Many congratulations to everyone that received one of the anniversary charts!
Enjoy your stitching!!
Karla, you are a planner like I am so I appreciate the compliment on my arrangements working out. LOL. Happy Stitching my friend. Dena
More Miss Dena?? Yes please! Sign me right on up!! 😂😂 I can’t believe how much stitching you are getting done this month - very impressive. Also, I think that friend Donna of yours is an enabler! 😂😂❤❤
Carolyn, you are so right! Donna is an enabler! I had a finish last night I can't wait to share! It is my first YOW finish! Dena
Congratulations on your finishes, and your Bringo. Thank you for sharing your stitching. It has been cold here, we wake up every morning with the temperature of 19 degrees. Burrrr🥶Cocoa has the right idea. Stay warm.
Linda, thanks so much for the congrats for my finishes. I had another one last night that is really exciting. I have been working on it for over a year. Dena
How delightful to see your progress with your various prompts. It has been a fun and active month . Brringo is so fun! Donna is such an enabler, lol. Autumn is so close to being finished. I love the colors in it. Ooh, 2 vids in 1 week?! Be still, my heart! 😂 Stay warm, hug Cocoa for me. ❤
You are so right that Donna is an enabler! But it is so fun to do it together! I am so glad that I have completed the acrostics and am down to only Bringo and Bingo now for the next couple of days. I have some stitching I want to do to push a project closer to a finish, so I am itching to do that. Dena
I am amazed at all you get accomplished. That berry finish is beautiful. Congrats to the winners of your flosstube anniversary🎉. Happy stitching. 😊
Sharon, I am retired, so I get to stitch almost everyday as much as I can. That is why I get a good bit accomplished I think. Thanks for the well wishes for all the winners. Dena
You have done a great job staying caught up with all your stitching. Thanks for sharing it all with us.
Thanks Kanday! I loved your recent finish and hope you have a great rest of January! Dena
Just a question Dena, do you count the full cross as one stitch?
Yes Susan, I do count one cross as one stitch. Half stitches, it takes 2 to make one stitch for the count. Backstitching also takes 2 stitches to make one cross for the counting of stitches. Dena
Hi Dena, I know it's not in this video, but thank you so much for telling us all about your Christmas earrings. I enjoyed those segments so much. I love to know what other stitchers are cooking and crock pot turkey chili sounds delightful. I will have to search that recipe here on youtube. I bet I find at least one! lol Your progress on all your stitching is awesome! Thank you so very much for sharing. It was very cold last week here in central Alabama! The wind added a bitterness to the cold. I usually walk a mile a day to the mailbox and I wore sweatpants a few days last week. I usually wear shorts! lol Sweet Cocoa might need to get herself a sweater for this chili sweater weather.
Well, I have made Cocoa some little "fleece coats" she wears when it is cold. She has been wearing those this week when she walks. I make my Turkey Chili with ground turkey instead of ground beef and the rest is the same as regular chili so give it a try. It tastes roughly the same, just less greasy. Dena
Thank you so much for the recipe. I didn't even know they made coat patterns for puppies. That's awesome.
