I really wish Yamaha , would reconsider their decision!

I blame the journalists who year after year told us we needed bigger and better and faster very year. Now we have $30,000 snowmobiles. 500 cc sleds are considered beginner sleds.

I’m 65 and have been a Yamaha loyal customer for 55 years. I currently own 2 older Yamaha sleds,an outboard motor, generator, several motorcycles, and currently ride a 2020 star venture tour bike. But recently Yamaha has cancelled so many products including the bike I am currently riding and many other bikes are also discontinued and now sleds are gone,l am very concerned about the direction they are going. I hate to say it but I may have to buy a Goldwing next time. PS I was also a Yamaha dealer for 25 years before I retired so my attachment to Yamaha is deep.

I have a Yamaha Venture Touring 700CC Triple. ( Two stroke)............a GREAT snowmobile!! I also have Yamaha F100 Four stroke outboard....another GREAT outboard! I hope Yamaha still got service parts if we need them. I wish they would not stop making their GREAT products!!

Im a arctic cat guy but still a sad day when Yamaha pulls out of snowmobiles. My first sled was a enticer 250 third sled was a Yamaha SR5. I love the sport of snowmobiling been riding for 37 years now. Raced arctic cats for 15 years hate seeing our sport getting smaller. Its not good for any of us snowmobilers no matter what makes we ride.

You have done it yourself. How many 20 year old people can afford a $20,000 snowmobile. 😮

That's an obvious answer to any business oriented company, are they still going to supply the venerable 998 to Cat, I know it's a small niche but the thunderkitty would not be the same without that gem!

Reminds me of usa pulling out of Afganistan. A real mess. I'm glad I have an older machine 2016 that has millions of parts available. And glad I didn't spend 15k or so on a new sled only to be abandoned. I do give Yamaha credit for dropping 2 strokes as I can't stand getting the exhust fumes in my helmet on a busy day on the trail.

I already can't get some parts for my fx nitro. I will be going to another brand, unfortunately. I have bought yamaha for decades. Good bye from a yamaha brand loyal customer😢😢.

I do own a Yamaha snowmobile now. I have an 07 Attak. This has been a good sled. I wish I could afford a newer-style sled. I am a paraplegic and the older style of sled gets to be a little hard on my back on long trips. I have metal rods in my back. Sadly if I am ever able to purchase a newer sled it will have to be something other than Yamaha because I need something that will continually be around for years to come in order to be fixed, Serviced, and updated if needed. I think that your bikes have fallen a little behind, as well as your side-by-sides and your ATV The only thing I thought you had rock solid was your sleds. It doesn't sound like a smart decision to me for the Yamaha reputation. The bottom dollar rules it all though and that seems to be where it's at. I am truly sad to see the sleds go. My first sled was a Yamaha. The One I have now is a Yamaha but sadly it doesn't look like the next will be.

My Father's 1976 Exciter will Probably need new fuel and oil lines to get it running again .

@@dp5430 I have a 2006 Attack and a 2014 Renegade 800 .. The skidoo is more fun to ride but .. If I ride hard it may break. My Yamaha skid broke .. I have a Team Fast Diamond air skid to install. I rode my Fathers 1986 Exciter some as a teenager. I bought a 1992 Polaris 500 IND with fuel injection used..

I get it, not a Yamaha guy but am a snowmobile guy in minnesota. Last yr was a great yr, this yr has been the worst I’ve seen. Big picture over 10 yrs is maybe 3-4 good/ok winters. I still have my older sleds and a 120 for the kids but man, this economy on top of snow conditions ain’t helping.

Define the number multiple years? 2,3,4, years for parts. I will predict right here this will become a nightmare for parts down the road, 2,3,4 years just wait

What that means when Yamaha decides that any other products could be discontinued too! I was a huge Yamaha supporter, but if you can't support me I will find some company that can. Goodbye Yamaha products entirely. Loyalty goes both ways. Sorry just my opinion.

Very sad to see. Unfortunately MOST of the die hards retired years ago from Yami which didn't help.. they're likely not getting back into the sport. I trust their 4 strokes more than any other motor. I'll keep my nytro till it dies. Yamaha...it was a good run 🫡✌️

Like he said the snowmobile market is not growing and will probably shrink more not enough profit to be made better hope the new cat sleds take off and will be a big hit Or they may be in trouble down the road again

I hope the catalyst will sell , unfortunately it’s not just Yamaha sleds that are expensive, but I’d rather pay 17,000+ for a reliable Yamaha snowmobile rather than a 17,000+ Polaris or POS skidoo that will blow up within 1500-2000 miles
