    I appreciate Coach K for pointing out the players from the schools that don't make the tournament often and who finally won their way in, only for it to be taken away from them.

      Same with Rutgers. The men's team hadn't been to March Madness since 1991 and they were finally going to qualify in 2020. Thankfully they did make it in 2021.

      Jay Wright had no idea that the rest of the Big East tournament got called off due to the coronavirus pandemic when one of the CDC officials told the Villanova Wildcats men's basketball team you've got to get out of New York.

      I blame Rudy Gobert, his stupidity messing around getting the virus because he wasn't taking any precautions seriously really got the ball rolling for everything to get shut down.

    2020 was a crazy year. Sports get cancelled for months, covid spreads, people die, some countries go into lockdown. It looks like things are getting better in 2021. Glad March madness is back.

      @@2001imnxtc Yes I heard about Event 201. I've listened to a guy talk about it and I wonder what really goes on in the world. But it was a simulation to help prepare for a pandemic. I have a hard time believing it was planned for people to die. If that's the case wouldn't that be considered as genocide?

      It was a horrible year from the start. Ranging from losing Kobe Bryant to a helicopter crash, to the virus, to racial injustice riots spreading everywhere out of Minneapolis, Minnesota and all that.

    Why not, in the summer, bring back all those rosters, and have the tournament in like August?
    I know some guys are in NBA/overseas/graduated, but you allow them to return. You bring whatever rosters you can re-assemble (minimum 8 players) and have the March madness 2020, in August 2022.

    Hofstra was supposed to take part in the tournament but was expected to withdraw had the tournament gone ahead.

    The 2020 NCAA tournament was NOT cancelled, it lasted for 10 days instead of the usual 3 weeks. It started on March 17, 2020 and sadly ended on March 27, 2020. It was great while it lasted.

    Idk, this just strikes me as a bit weird. Like people have died in the last year, and yet we are hearing people talk about how they wish the tourney had just continued. Like, understandably it sucks for these athletes and their draft stock, and also just their competitive edge. But the way this looks, it just looks callous to the actual struggles going on that would consume the nation, especially in the medical field. Also along those same lines, the struggles that educators had to go through, just trying to teach children without infecting them with something, and keeping themselves safe. I love sports, dont get me wrong, but it isnt necessary for anything.
