I’m on day 5 of berberine and all I can say is, Wow. Today I had incredible “digestion”. I take it after my last meal at night. The next day I can fast easily until 1pm, before berberine I was dying to eat by 10am. Note: I also started taking 1/2 Tablespoon apple cider vinegar with my water in the morning. Energy is excellent, better than it’s been for years. This is a regimen I will stick with for a while

@@buckie48192 I don't take digestive enzymes with the Betaine HCL...or ever for that matter. I've had leaky gut in the past and struggled for some time to figure that one out. No fun...but I did get beyond it by changing my diet. For me, the answer was cutting out several foods that I am allergic to, i.e. sugar, various nut butters, peppers, eggs, and dairy. That took a while to figure out. A food allergy test helped. Then it took a little while for my gut lining to heal, mostly because I kept eating foods I was allergic to. Overall, I'm way more in tune with my body (particularly my gut) because I had to be. Leaky gut is no fun. I also take psyllium every day which helps to keep me very regular. @Taiwo Omotosho I like a bit of heat so I've been using 7 pot brain-strain (looks like a small yellow scorpion crossed a scotch bonnet) I grow them from seed myself and I avoid pesticides and herbicides so I just given them a light rinse and then dry. Next I cut them in half and put them in a large fermenting jar or mason jar and I add enough of a 3% salt brine (30grams/liter) to cover. I use a glass weight to keep them submerged. Be sure to avoid water with chlorine or other chemicals and don't use salt that has iodine. Either of these could ruin the fermentation process. Then cover with a fermentation lid that allows C02 to escape but doesn't allow air in. Wait 6 weeks and blend just the peppers. Add brine to thin and possible a bit more salt. You can use a bit of vinegar to thin it out as well. Be sure to check the pH with a cheap $10 meter from amazon or wherever. You're shooting for a pH of less than 4.6. See the Chili Chump channel for much better instruction. Good luck!

If you have and it can even get medical insurance.

The question is, if Berberine puts the sugar into to the cell instead of it floating into the blood causing lower BG readings whilst hiding the glucose inside each cell! Then if a person continues to eat sugar or carbohydrates whilst on Berberine then it will.damage their mitochondira and lipid profile. Can you shed some light on what happens to the glucose that Berberine puts into the cell of the average lazy person? Or what are the long terms effects on cell integrity and overall metabolic health of eating carbohydrates on Berberine.

On the drive podcast, with Dr. Peter Attia, they gloss over betberine saying that it helps with LDL clearance on about 5% of ppl with a certain genetic mutation that inhibit LDL clearance, and that there are about 2,000 mutations that inhibit LDL clearance.
If this is so, am I to understand that only ppl with LDL clearance issue will benefit from betberine as it relates to decreasing atherosclerosis? And only 5% of people at that.
Sure there are other reasons to take the supplement, but I’m more interested in decreasing atherosclerosis, not to mention that I myself am not sure if what I mention above is connected to atherosclerosis.
