  • Welcome back to Through Nicky’s Lens! 🌟 In this video, Nicky goes into a crucial topic ideal for anyone navigating the Express Entry system: the Offer of Employment. 🎯 Whether you're a skilled worker, tradesperson, or physician, understanding the intricacies of a valid job offer can significantly impact your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. Let's break it down! 📊
📋 Overview: An offer of employment is vital in the Express Entry process for skilled immigrants. It validates your ability to contribute to the Canadian workforce and can earn you up to 50 or 200 extra CRS points. 🎉
🔍 Requirements for a Valid Job Offer:
    1. 📝 Written and Recent: Must be in writing and typically issued within one month of submitting your eAPR.
    2. 📄 Details of the Job: Includes pay, deductions, job duties, and work conditions. Excludes offers from embassies, high commissions, or consulates in Canada.
🛠️ For Federal Skilled Workers and Canadian Experience Class:
    • Continuous, paid, full-time (30+ hours/week), non-seasonal, for at least one year post-visa.
    • In NOC TEER category 0, 1, 2, or 3.
    • Backed by a new positive LMIA or current LMIA-exempt work permit.
🔧 For Federal Skilled Trades Workers:
    • Offers can come from up to two employers.
    • Continuous, paid, full-time work for at least one year in NOC TEER 2 and 3.
    • Similar LMIA requirements as above.
    👩‍⚕️ Special Provision for Physicians:
    • Effective April 25, 2023, foreign national physicians with a job offer for publicly funded medical services can claim points even if the job isn’t continuous or doesn’t last one year post-visa.
    🗂️ Documenting the Job Offer:
    • Update Express Entry Profile with start date, employer’s details, LMIA number (if applicable), and NOC code.
    • Clearly outline job conditions, including hours and pay.
    📈 Assessing Job Offer Validity:
    • LMIA Exemption: Some jobs may be exempt but still require a valid offer.
    • Ability to Perform the Job: Officers assess if you can perform the job and meet licensing requirements.
    🚀 Points for Job Offer:
    • Boosts CRS score significantly. Provincial or territorial certification may be needed for certain trades.
    ✅ Key Considerations:
    • LMIA or Exempt Status: Know if your job offer requires an LMIA.
    • Regulated Professions: Ensure you meet licensing requirements.
    • Validity of Job Offer: Ensure it meets all IRCC criteria.
A valid job offer is a game-changer in your Express Entry application, enhancing your eligibility and boosting your CRS score. 📈 Ensure your offer meets IRCC standards to leverage this advantage effectively on your journey to Canadian permanent residency. 🍁

    Hi dear
I am an undergraduate from a Canadian university, and I am working under a post-graduation work permit. I have been working as an administrative assistant at a realtor company in Vancouver, BC for one year. I would like to know whether if my company can provide me with an LMIA for my PR application?

Hello Amin, thank you for your question.
You may get extra points for an LMIA job offer in Express Entry for PR even if you are on a PGWP. So yes, your employer can apply for an LMIA but I am not sure of the process of them making such a job offer.
Information from IRCC's website states that "If you are invited under the Canadian Experience Class, you don’t need an LMIA to meet the program requirements.
But, a valid job offer supported by an LMIA can get you more points under the Comprehensive Ranking System. This can improve your chances of being invited to apply. So in that case, your employer may want to get an LMIA, even though you don’t need it to be eligible."

I wish you all the best in the process.
