That thing you put on to stop the return is awesome!
Thank you! I made a video showing me building it if you are interested?
@@TKCL I will look that up. I have the same splitter and love it

Arms Family told me to check out your channel....I love to watch firewood being split and stacked so here I am and I have subscribed to your channel....so get to splitting....LOL
Thank you for the support! I love firewood too, plenty of videos on the channel. I also have a lot more waiting for me
hi there don't do any smoking here but a friend smokes a lot of deer and bacon . they seam to use hickory . but they wet it before smoking . so i am learning . thanks john
Lots of different ways to cook/smoke. Seems like everyone has their own techniques. Take care
Came from recommendation by Arms Family Homestead!
Thank you very much
Very good information!
Thanks for watching
I use leeks as a substitute.
Im glad you are getting lots of firewood. It should be nice side cash for you. 😃
I'll definitely need it after this house build
My favorite channel right now. You have good personality and take criticism better than others.
Thank you
I like how you share so many cool aspects of journey as a you tube fella. Thanks for all the content.
Thank you for watching!
Can't beat cooking with wood. Nice you've got some variety and can mix it up. Somone else mentioned Apple, it's good stuff. I also enjoy pecan when I come across some I never pass it up. Enjoyed it!
Apple is hard to find down here, but like you I never pass on pecan.
Great Info
Thanks for watching!
Hickory and Oak are the Best!!!
Definitely the most common types used in my area.
Just caught this one as it was put out ! Sweet
Thanks for watching
5:10 PM EST, Feb. 28th... Thought there was a LIVE scheduled for tonight. Maybe I'm wrong. Hope all is well.
We are good! I canceled it this morning and put out a notice. As usual CZcams does not do a good job of notifying people. Some got it and some didn't. Sorry, we will be back next weekend.
County line splitter really saves on the grunt time.
Yes it does!
I tend to use Blackjack as it is abundant here as well as a great smoking wood. Do use Pecan, Cherry and such as I can find it. Nothing like a sweet 12 hour smoked brisket. Anything on the smoker is awesome though.
Brisket is my next smoking project to tackle
You have a very nice fire wood splitting set up and I enjoyed the video. The stacked wood looks awesome. Looking forward to the smoker video. I would like to see how you cook ribs. 😀
I haven't did baby backs in a while, that's a good idea!
Thanks for the video and information. Looks like you have a nice atv there. See you tonight.
Thank you!
Lol I have never gotten skunked with a gig. Just ate some I smoked, they were tasty!
With my luck it's possible
Do you have a video of your wood rack/shed build? I setup a few temporary racks, but that looks like a nice permanent solution. It’s a great looking setup!

Thanks!
Pretty rough looking tire on that wheelbarrow. Good thing it is close to the smoker.
Yes it is in bad shape, I plan to change it eventually.
I like your firewood rack is there a past video showing that? What did you use to build it?

That chainsaw is a BEAST!!!
Yes it is, I love running it!
I like Pecan too! It's actually a species of Hickory. Do you have any Hackberry in Florida?
We might, but I'm not familiar with it
We have a splitter like that, do you by any chance have a part number for the gas cap, we lost ours. Thank you.
I sure don't! Luckily ours has been bullet proof and have not lost or broke anything. I hope you find the cap
Do you the wood strings from noodling in your smoker to utilize everything? Might be a good starter or some purpose
I have been using the noodles in my compost and for fire starter. It dries quickly
You have to try apple wood. It's so dam good and my kids and wife never leave anything left on their plates
I've definitely heard about that being used a lot.
Is that a purchased gadget to stop the wedge before its all the way back? Or diy?
Diy, here you go czcams.com/video/AYEl6JB_Sbg/video.html
here in indiana we pronounce it pecon not pecan
Definitely pecAn in the south.
Why chainsaw when have a splitter?Im confused
Is white oak the same as post oak?
It's in the same family.
Not using pee can in Texas, now pecon is a different story! Pee can is a small outhouse, or a can of peas! Lol just a little fun joking! Great content keep it up! Y'all stay safe
Lol oh boy do I get picked on for saying peeeeecan.. It's the way everyone says it around here lol
@@TKCL being in Florida I know you know how us Texans are! I've been told I'm full of it! If you know what I mean! Lol
How is the ice maker doing Andrew?
Great, just installed the second one today!
Looking forward to the smoking .
Had to make a repair today, so the video will probably be out tomorrow
When you have your messages at the bottom of the screen you should leave them a little longer.
I've been extending the time on my current videos.
I meant to put that in my comment as well. I have a little ways to catch up to current day. I started watching your videos right before Christmas 2021 and found you by searching “how to install a 50amp plug for Motorhome at my house” I kept watching in the order from that day. It’s a lot of fun!!!
Thank you for watching and the support
Can you smoke meat with Live oak wood?
Sure, just don't use the bark. It's really thick and makes a bitter taste.
@@TKCL 👍🏽
Very interesting Andrew, I am also looking forward to the smoking videos. We mostly just bbq. so you may turn me on to something. See you soon.
I'm no pro, just smoke occasionally. Should have a video out soon
Hey Andrew on the Channel’s tab at the top of your page put in your outdoor channel that you have. I’ve heard you mention it a few times but I don’t know the name of the channel, this would make it easier for someone to locate. Also when you mention the outdoor channel on this one you might mention the name of the channel. I subbed to your channel a few months ago so I could keep up with the raised bed garden (I plan on building one this spring) however I am enjoying all of your videos.
It's always in every video description, a lot of people don't know about all the useful information in video descriptions. I wish CZcams would make those easier to find. I'll have to look for the tab you are referring to. The other channel is The Kelley's Outdoors
Have you ever smoked a venison roast
Yes I have, had to complety wrap it in bacon to keep it from drying out
Nice. If you do it again you can mix cream cheese and peppers to put in the middle.
Then inject it with apple juice throughout the cooking time
That's how I do my back straps, minus the apple juice
Nice
Hi Kelly ,I'm looking forward to the Smoking video. Yummmmy I'll bet ...what's the name of your Other Channel like to subscribe to it aswell
Its The Kelley's Outdoors... Thanks!
Nice video buddy see you later on your live stream at 4 text me back buddy God bless you and your wife
Take care!
