Erin Gilbert (Kristen Wiig) and Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy) are a pair of unheralded authors who write a book positing that ghosts are real. A few years later, Gilbert lands a prestigious teaching position at Columbia University, but her book resurfaces and she is laughed out of academia. When ghosts invade Manhattan, Gilbert reunites with Yates, teaming up with a nuclear engineer, Jillian Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon), and a subway worker, Patty Tolan (Leslie Jones), to save the world from a mysterious evil and powerful demon known as Rowan (Neil Casey) who can exercise control over human forms.
The Ghostbusters didn't need a reboot, it needed a *sequel*!
Well think about it...
During GB & GB2 the city acted like nothing happend after GB so maybe the goverment hid the events from the first film after GB2 and the game, and remember the taxi guy, he could've been Ray in retirement...
So 2016 GB could acttually an unintentional sequel to the first two movies (plus game)
(Got the idea from fanfiction, really great story)
The originals are getting one. Next year 2020.

I have an idea. Why not have a race between the original ECTO-1 and the cheap knock off. Factoring in all the pros and cons for each car like top speed, weight of each vehicle, etc, etc. Then you would know the winner.

The original ecto 1 was an ambulance/ hearse you know that right. it is 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor Futura Duplex (with ambulance/hearse conversion. At least you got the color change right .
This should have been dubbed Ecto 0, It does not deserve the original's title.

what an ugly version of ecto 1!!!! No match against the original one. Why do they have to make a remake -.-.....this new Movie sucks.
I sorta liked this car design, but the original will always hold a place in my heart as the Ghostbusters car.

Not a patch on the original Miller Meteor Cadillac. One of the reasons I won't be even bothering with this cheapo remake.
This one is cool and the original but the thing i hate its that its a 1980's model and has a whole different siren and the metal siding ruining the symbol

Anyone know what type of siren they're using on this one? Obviously not the original Ecto-1 siren but it sounds like a commercially made one

so why has that ting a yellow light in the front and the real Red and Blue lights in the back...that make no sense...
That mid 80s Caddy wasn't that good looking to begin with but they went and made it even uglier. They should've used a late 90s Caddilac if they were going to make a different version. You can't polish a turd.
The original its way better. I am so glad ghostbusters 3 its in the works. This movie is garbage.

They should have just ditched all that and came up with their own tools. It would have gone over better. Made it a whole different Ghostbusters take. It wouldn't have been so insulting and may have even been ok to watch.
