Those Bearcats are right next to the suspect car and they can clearly look in, but they still couldn't determine if he was dead or alive after over half an hour? What a waste of time and resources.
The airbags were deployed blocking their direct view. The best they could do is prevent the passenger door from opening and then having a potential foot chase, or jumping into the driver's seat and speeding off. They did a marvelous job blocking him in.

His name was Dylan Andres Lindsey. He was a 24-year-old resident of Torrance. He died of his injuries in the hospital on May 16th, about a week later.

Saying the cop was reloading and trying different tactical approaches...the cop literally forgot to unlock the doors and after running to the passenger side had to go back to the drivers side to unlock the doors so he could take cover. Dylan Andres Lindsey, 24, killed a liquor store owner a day or two earlier. After this standoff, Lindsey died the next day of gunshot wounds, one of which was self-inflicted. The driver, his girlfriend Alison Hart of Redondo Beach (13 years his senior), is pleading not guilty and somehow posted a $2 million bond. Cannot find any more info about the trial even though it has been two years. Allegedly she was the getaway driver during the fatal robbery so not sure why she is pleading not-guilty.

They were NOT using the dog as a distraction tool while they went in on the other side. They were literally like, "If he kills the dog, he's still alive. If he doesn't kill the dog, he's dead and we can move in slowly with our shields (after giving him a good two minutes to kill the dog, just to be safe.)
He paid the ultimate price for his crimes. He had choices and so did the girl driver who was part of the crimes.

No one from law inforcement wanted him to bleed to death. It was purely his choice pulling the trigger in the first place killing that clerk in the store, turning the gun against cops and as a result rightly considered armed and dangerous next obviously getting heavily wounded and God knows what else. He kinda deserved what happened here. It is a result of his own actions from the very beginning.

I know a lot of officers who absolutely love their K9 and treat them just as they would a human police officer partner. But it still breaks my heart when I see a K9 being sent into the line of fire basically…..cuz u never wanna see an innocent animal killed…..but I get that they are used as a so called tool for the police…it still sucks to know that that beautiful animal kuldip potentially be killed……I feel like their lives should be worth the same as a human officers life
This was a case where they were totally sacrificing that animal. Thankfully for the dog's sake, the man was no longer a threat. I can't believe with all those officers, weapons, armor, shields, and bear cats, they chose to send the poor dog to his death. If that man had been conscious, he would have shot that dog instantly. Shameful!

Kinda risky for live TV tbh. I once witnessed a speed-chase that ended in suicide on live TV around 2014-2015. They had the camera on the guy after he ditched the vehicle. He ran through the desert terrain a bit and then suddenly stopped. He lifted his gun to his head. Then the news reporter kept saying “cut it, cut it, cut it.” It was already too late though he shot himself and I saw it. You can probably find the chase on YT.

The officer at first shooting couldn’t open the passenger door because it was locked. He tried front and back doors and then had to go around to unlock the doors so they could use the door for safety. The motorcycle officer covered for him so he could unlock the vehicle.
I am very amazed by the patience of the American police, they are really great police. but in my opinion their actions in catching criminals are too weak and slow. to catch petty criminals, why did the procedure have to be so complicated?

I was in the Army this scene brings back memories of ARTEP (Army Rediness Training and Evacuation Procedures. Some of the chat asked if they needed that many officers. Some may have been in training (cars farther back) not necessarily there for action. Other officers could be close to next shift and came to back up the people they work with. Don't judge to harshly.
Doing these tactics in another country with big weapons is much more necessary. On a car with 1 motionless person in plain sight in our own streets... where's the limit?

In the end all they needed was the dog. Three armored vehicles and robots. All they needed was the dog to feel safe enough to approach.

I always ask: When the police have two or more armoured vehicles at the scene, why they don't pin the subjects car by firm contact in the front and the rear to ensure, that he is not able to move his car again?? When your a fireman, even a volunteer. Training is non stop. Your trained to do things you'll probably never do every year. Even baby CPR. I was the only one in my team to be trained in Hazmat. Not sure why but that was how they handled that.

That young man is about the same age as my son. If I was the mother of this suspect it would break my heart and I would be devastated. Thank God my son is a good young man with a good character.
If this guy is indeed a hitman it would be important to keep him alive to know who paid him for the job. They will probably guard him in the hospital to make sure his employer does not have him silenced. Even if he does survive and goes to jail they will still have to make sure noone gets to him before he can talk or testify. That is of course if he is the assassin who gunned down the convenience store clerk.

This is absolutely the worst police response I’ve ever seen. 3 bearcats, helicopter(s), about 30 cruisers, drones, robots, canines. Yet, they awaited over an hour to secure the scene, after the shooter was already subdued. Pretty obvious that they wanted the perp to bleed out, so they wouldn’t have to render aid. How on earth this guy didn’t die?

Have been watching some of the different chase video's..This one held my interest..It gave us the whole picture..You can tell the training these law officers had..There is no room for being a hot head..I was really impressed with the dog and what he did...Just amazing..Thank you to all Law officers..Great job.Also, I was glad to see the edit to the outcome of this...Stay safe.
That's why I'm impressed by CHIPS. They don't use the tactics that some local cops use, yelling, several of them jumping on one person while he's already on the ground, punching him in the gut, etc. I have seen CHIPS sneak up on a suspect and walk over and handcuff him with no fuss at all. That's trained and professional!
