Your right, the more I was listening to him he was referencing another woman in the Bible....either way its horrible exegesis and a complete misunderstanding of scripture...God bless

I was glad you mentioned "The Chosen" in this video. I assume you are a GMC pastor (?) and my husband and I, both raised Methodist, are members of a new startup GMC congregation. I also follow many discernment sites (Justin Peters, Chris Rosebrough) and even though I have not watched The Chosen, I have learned enough about it to know the Jesus they portray is not the Jesus of the Bible! Imagine my surprise and sadness when our pastor openly the series and the "ministry" of Dallas Jenkins. There are so many red flags and I don't understand why others don't see them. Truly sad!!
Amen sister! I'm actually not a GMC Pastor, Our new Church is non-denominational. Yes Dallas Jenkins is basically a closet Mormon...they have LGBTQ people working on the set, ect...Its a disaster and the Churches embrace it like its authoritative...Have a blessed day!

“The best cure for Christianity is reading the Bible” Mark Twain. It’s what made me a non believer, and after 20 years of deep diving in researching the Bible and history has only solidified that cure.
I think that that “pastor” is referencing the interaction between Jesus and the Canaanite woman in Matthew 15: 21-28. I do not read that passage though as Jesus being corrected. I read it that even those outside Judaism recognized Jesus’ divinity.
Anyone who believes Jesus had to be corrected doesn't know who Jesus is!

I believe in Jesus Christ of the Bible, the Holy Scriptures, God in the Flesh, part of the Triune God, who died on the cross for our sins and bodily rose again on the 3rd day defeating sin and death forever, who is Lord over everything!
