There are six causes of cold feet I urge you to become familiar with.
    Timestamps:
0:00 6 causes of cold feet
1:30 Hypothyroidism is a classic reason why you feel cold
2:50 Check out the links below for more details on how you can figure out which of these causes align to you
In this updated video I describe the six causes of cold feet. (In a previous video I described the five causes.)
    Here are the six:
    1. Low adrenal hormones. There’s a condition called Addison’s Disease, where you’re basically running out of adrenal hormones and you have extremely low sodium. You constantly want salt. Your adrenals regulate minerals including sodium. You could also develop low blood pressure, leading to cold feet.
    2. Hypothyroid. Increase your intake of iodine and selenium. Selenium is necessary for converting inactive thyroid hormone to the active version. You need iodine to make thyroid hormone in the first place. Hashimoto responds pretty well to selenium. And selenium helps your immune system.
    3. Diabetic, especially if you get neuropathy. You get nerve damage in your feet, hands, and fingers. They may go numb or you may feel tingling.
    4. Low sodium can occur when you’re on the ketogenic diet. When you go keto you lose a lot of excess body fluid, resulting in a loss of salt (and other electrolytes). You’re also giving up a lot of junk foods, processed foods that contain a lot of sodium. On keto you want to add sea salt to your diet.
    5. Low zinc
    6. Low iron especially if you have anemia
Which of these symptoms align to yours? I put a number of links below to videos that describe symptoms of low zinc, iron, and sodium so you can figure out what’s causing your cold feet.

Make sure when you get your iron levels checked you ask for not only your hemoglobin level but also iron profile AND ferritin. I had cold feet/felt cold for years and my hemoglobin and thyroid were always normal. Wasn’t until my hair started thinning that the dermatologist checked my ferritin and it was non existent though again my hemoglobin, thyroid were normal. Also a low normal ferritin may also be related to these symptoms. Once I started on iron my sleep, anxiety, fatigue, hair thinning and cold feet got better...

Kathleen Kairau the cold feet got better within a month (I used to sleep with a heating pad on my feet every night in the winter), fatigue took maybe 8 weeks - I started to sleep better (and low levels can be associated with restless legs - which I didn’t have but I would wake up consistently at 3 am and would have trouble falling back to sleep. I had even had a sleep study before I knew about my iron stores and it was negative for sleep apnea). Hair thinning took about 3-4 months

I use to have heart problems and one of the symptoms was cold feet. My feet would get very cold at night and sometimes painfully cold. My heart would also cause me sharp pain. I started changing my diet with an elimination diet and I noticed large benefits. That's when i knew that food was far more important than what people actually think is important. I removed a lot of food that caused problems for many people like gluten wheat dairy eggs etc. I currently eat lots of meats vegetables fruits jasmine rice and the only salt I am able to consume is pink Himalayan salt. I have been eating like this for awhile now and feel amazing from what I was eating before. My diet might not be what a standard person eats but it keeps me healthy. The important thing i learned was removing ideas what people consider "healthy".

I left a long message about drinking coffee with mild sugar in it all day and 1 small meal whenever i realy feel hungry.
I sated how good i feel and that i did this for few weeks.
I tested my ketone levels in my pee and had trace amounts by the morning. I can hear you saying in my head, but spiking your insuline every couple hrs with more mild sweet(2 tsp. in 6oz. coffee w/heavy creamer) coffee goes completely against everything i stand for and my channel. I know and its only for a limited time.
So I drank coffee and had my pea protien powder with 100 plus varieties of friuts and vegetables. I also drink water with your electrolite blend. Which has changed my life! (Thank you) To sum it up, I am super fat adapted and yesteday i drank 7-10 cups of coffee with 2 tsp. per cup and at 5pm I felt so good that i was wuestioning why. Even though I drank sweet coffee all day, I had 15dl/l ketones in urine and 76 glucose/ .3 ketones blood. Wow right?? After consuming, lets say to be fair, 12 tsp. of sugar in a 9 hr. period, and I made small amount of noodles because i am weak sometimes. I checked my ketones an hr. after my last coffee and 20 min. after the noodles at 5pm.
I am questioning how bad this is for the short term of 2-3 weeks and im in ketosis here at the end. Yes i will be craving a small amount of carbs. after i stop the coffee, however it is managable unlike before i started the coffee. Out of control binging feeling like SH*T!!
I know you already get lots of info streaming in so i figured i would at to the bucket.. Thanks for being there Berg! Your channel has helped me more than i could try to explain.
Ps. I live in florida and i saw you on the front of a magazine at the store. 👍 cool. Its all happening...

I took your test and I was pancreatic body type which shocked me. I have been trying to do Keto for past two weeks but when I test my pee I’m out of Ketosis like once every two days. I might be eating too much protein or just too much in general but I’m so hungry. Anyone know some tips? I go to the gym and lift weights pretty heavy so that makes me hungry, and the insulin’s resistance probably.

Thank you Dr. Berg. When i had sever panic attacks years ago, i experienced the cold feet, lightheadedness and rapid heart beats, then was told that i was also pumping a lot of adrenaline. The problem is, that even after dealing with the underlining issues, the anxiety/panic became habitual in a sense. When i would get in a tough situation, automatically my heart would race and i could feel the bloody adrenaline, however, i didnt have psychological fear, as before... it was all physiological, and i still have to deal with it from time to time. Magnesium helps me a lot, my diet improvements thanks to you has also helped. With that all said, this video put something else in perspective... i have some small red blood spots on parts of my skin which i later found out is called Cherry Angiomas. Thankfully, its nothing serious, and after much research, it was suggested that i needed to take iodine and selenium!! So i think i've just connected the dots and could probably solve two problems with one stone! I haven't started taking them, but after watching this video, i definitely should try them both!

I put it down to blood pressure & maybe even narrow veins. So I wear compression socks & not the beige ones. I went on line & bought groovy coloured ones. They also help for tired aching feet not just cold feet. I live in a tropical climate so it's weird to have cold feet & be sweating at the same time. I don't have what this guy is talking about.
