I´ll do that
Did you know your in the G&L site now?
Amazing huh
Congratulations 🎉
@@888jimm no I did not!! Awesome✌️❤️
The Tributes are great guitars Jonathan, but it's your warm, humble soul, and amazing playing that is REAL highlight of your videos. Thank you for sharing, friend. :)
Thank you buddy✌️❤️
I just bought one used because of this review. G&L should put you on the payroll!
hahahah nice!
@@JonIsJustTooLoud did the one you demo'd have a gloss finish on the fretboard?
Beautiful, I love the all natural wood look. Of course you made it sound incredible. Love my G&Ls.
Thank you kindly!✌🤓
Such lovely playing!!
So good, Jonathan.
Thank you.
Glad you like it!✌♥
This is my first time watching your channel and dude i have to say great video!!! The good vibes you send are awesome!
Thanks so much!! Sub if you havent! ✌💙
Another G&L masterpiece- Gorgeous. And another great review thanks Jon 👍
you're welcome Tom!!✌🤓
Thanks so much. Some of the other Legacy demos don't sound very Strat-ish so I kind of gave up on getting one. You get some very strat-like tones and other beautiful variations. Beautiful playing, thanks again.
Glad I could help!✌❤
Beautifully sounding guitar and great playing as usual.
Glad you like it!✌🤓
Great review. Helped me also to help me see the color is better than the stock photos. Just ordered this, can’t wait for it to come in!
Awesome!! Excited for you✌️❤️
Great great guitar, great playing, great and to the point review!!
Thank you kindly Joey✌🤓!
Love my G&L! Thank you Jonathan!
My pleasure!!✌🤓
sweet guitar! and even sweeter playing! awesome
Glad you enjoy it!✌♥
What a great sounding guitar, really nice tasteful playing too.
Thank you✌️❤️
Great playing! Just picked up a used one and they are amazing!
Glad you like the video✌️❤️
Am loving this guitar! Looks and sounds sooo good. After watching this video I'll be buying one. Thanks a lot! 😉
Most welcome ✌️❤️
another master class jon nice guitar to cheers
Thanks a bunch Joe!!✌❤
Great review. I'm eyeing one of these and you may have just helped me make my buying decision!
Cool ✌️❤️
Me to!!
I love seeing some G&L reviews. Jonathan does some of the best. These are really good guitars. I bought my first Legacy over two years ago after owning a few American made g&ls over the years. I played it next to an American made Legacy in the store for two weeks. I could not tell much difference in the tone between the two and honestly felt the Tribute had the edge. Two+ years later, I still love it. I should also mention a year after I bought the Legacy, I happened upon a 60 Anniversary Strat. The Strat sounds and plays very good, but for me, the feel of the guitar, and tone of the pickups were never as good or as inspiring to play as the G&L. I even dropped some coin for some Radioshop vintage GTs and still the stock Legacy is #1. More vintage tones and better feel. So find the one that plays the best because they do vary in weight and tone. Mine is 7.5lbs. I also had a bone nut installed with a professional setup. 2+ years of gigs and no issues at all. Great guitar for the price.
That’s a great sharing Derick!! I just love my G&Ls ✌️❤️
I have the red and white G&L Tribute with a 12 inch radius neck, it would appear that the middle pickup is reverse wound wrapped making the positions 2 and 4 with natural hum-bucking. I absolutely love this guitar and thank God for it.
Nice✌️
Oh my. So sweet sounding
Thanks Lougn!! you would know!!✌❤
Great job with this review bro. And you play beautifully 😊
Thank you kindly!✌💙
Good sound man. Enjoy listening to ya
Thank you ✌️❤️
I really love your channel and appreciate your love for G&L guitars. I love them as well. I just wish they were more available at more shops so we can better compare them. I really wish you have a detailed comparison to the US made ones.
You can check out my G&l play list to kinda compare them with ✌️❤️
Smooth playing sir!
Thank you✌️❤️
I love G&L Legacy Strat Style With a change of pickups, fret dressing, change the nut to tasq or bone, maybe change to hipshot locking tuners and a setup and its a amazing guitar
You are talking about the tribute legacy right? Cause the Fullerton deluxe ones is pretty solid as it is🤓
Hi Jonathan, G&L are wonderful Guitars.
Nice Sound, all of them. I had a Tribute Fallout and a older S500.
Both are Nice to play.
Yes they are ✌️❤️
I have the same model with the tobacco finish and rosewood fingerboard. It really plays well and just a sweet guitar. I did make one change and added a set of Graph Tech locking tuners. They are a straight drop in replacement on the Legacy Tribute. Just a personal preference. Thanks for the review and love your playing!
Thank you & thanks for sharing✌️❤️
Once again awesome work. Your music is just soooo relaxing and tasteful. Do you have any albums?
Working on it!✌♥
Lovely my friend!!! Ive got to try a G&L
Yes Robert you have to!!✌️❤️
You've sold me on this !! Gonna order one in the next few days , I used to have an ibanez strat back in the early 80s with the same colour scheme, natural wood black pick guard, so have always wanted to find something that looked the same and maybe bring back some memories from the good old days 🤣🎸👍
Nice!!✌️❤️
@@JonIsJustTooLoud ahh Jonathan, I received mine but .... and maybe it might have been a one off ,but the neck ... mine had terrible fret buzz on the bottom two strings and also the frets them selves, they were sticking out , not the actual fret that's on the top , along the top and bottom , it was the inserted part , does that make sense, also the neck had all the little weird black marks on it that made no sense? Anyway unfortunately it's going back, shame really 😢
Had mine for about 18 months now. Finally got around to doing a proper set up on it, what a difference. Have been playing it through my Vox Super Beetle, these 2 just seem to fit together. Crikey it is heavy for a Strat, but gotta love the tone adjustment. You actually will not find a better value for money guitar.
I agree ✌️❤️
Your tone is fantastic. Reminds of vintage Carlton.
Thank you man ✌️❤️
I have a G&L Tribute Legacy. It's a great guitar. Specialy the clean sound it brings! :)
✌❤
for the money I don't think we are going to beat this guitar. I am looking for a new guitar, and the info from your video has been extremely helpful, thanks tons
I’m glad it helped✌️❤️
One of my gigging guitars is a Tribute swamp ash ASAT. I'm adding the exact model you reviewed to my collection of road guitars. They're every bit as good as MIA Fenders for a fraction of the price. 👍
Very cool✌♥
Just ordered one!
Nice ❤️❤️
I'm a lefty and I've played the guitar for anout 25 years, predominantly the extreme side of music. I've never had a classic Fender Stratocaster type guitar and kinda knew I would buy one later because you simply can't match their clean tone versatility on any other type of guitar. Being on a budget, I was deciding between a high end Squier, G&L and Mexican Fender.
I'm soooo glad I chose the G&L Legacy Tribute. I think I paid about £400 for it, which is quite amazing value if you consider how damn good this thing plays, feels and sounds.
As long as you’re happy brother!!✌️❤️
Had to sell mine before coming to the philippines (and about 38 other guitars, inc. US Fender, Gibson, etc). I need just ONE guitar here, and pretty sure this is going to be it. Excellent all around guitars. Good vid, btw. Thanks for the reminder.
Very cool!
I was looking for a Stratocaster After watching this video I bought this guitar Thank you
Glad I could help!✌♥
Great video
Thank you✌️❤️
Loved my tribute legacy so much that I upgraded to a Fullerton deluxe legacy :)
Nice move!!✌️❤️
What are your thoughts about both guitars now that you have them? I have a Cali made ASAT and have been thinking about getting a couple legacies.
@@bjornegan6421 Hello Bjorn, i also have a legacy tribute and a s500 Fullerton deluxe both are awesome if you can go for the Fullerton deluxe I kept these two and sold my Fender USA custom as in my opinion even the Tribute was superior and the tribute series are cheap, to think its there Squire equivalent is awesome
@@lostvikinga hi man, you really think your tribute is better than your ex custom shop fender? Omg!!
@@flaviocomignano Hello man, i do i sold both fenders my tribute is an older one not sure if that makes a difference and as for the Fullerton Deluxe s 500 wow sooo good i can play Pink Floyd ,Eagles etc then can play GnR or Gary Moore(Gibson ) and it sounds as good as my P r s. Try one ,even not plugged in it sings with No rattles as many Fenders rattle a little.
Thanks!
Welcome!✌️❤️
I enjoy it every time I listen to you playing, the feeling you play with is amazing.
Please tell me witch distortion/overdrive you where using 🙏
I use line 6 Helix Native plugin. For this, I don’t use Overdrive pedals.. just a cranked up amp simulation✌️❤️
Hey Jonthan! Nice playing like every time!!! Got myself the black one with the basswood body which is a little bit lighter in weight (3,875kg). Classy strat tones maybe a little bit to glassy but this can be managed with the PTB-system quite well!
Cool.. 3.85kg is still a hefty guitar ain’t it?
@@JonIsJustTooLoud Yeah, that's still on the heavier side!
Love it.
Thanks✌️❤️
Thank you✌️❤️
Great review! Great playing! I have owned one for 10 years now- It is better than any $3000 Fender and I paid $400 brand new for it... Way way way better than any Fender...
Very cool!
I know I've said this before (and I mean this in a really nice way), but do I detect a hint of Steely Dan ...... Wonderful sound Jonathan 🎸👍
Thank you Mike!! ✌❤
a hint of Larry ;)
@@koenstrobbe8101
Said the same thing, very much in the Larry Carlton, Louie Shelton
Love Jonathan’s playing
Wow! Wow!
Lol✌️❤️
Jon you're not loud enough tbh. Love your playing.
I've been considering this guitar because of the flatter fretboard radius which I really like on my Kramer. All the charvel and Jackson stuff comes with a Floyd Rose. I love them but I prefer a non locking bridge on traditional stats because I like messing with tunings. This guitar being a third of the price also helps. I have a HSH strat that I built myself as a best of both worlds kind of thing and I love it but I miss the traditional single coil and position 4. I think your demo sold me on this.
Thank you.. glad to help✌️❤️
That's a keeper
✌🤓
Strat: Do this!
G&L: I got ya - now do this...
Strat: 🤔
lol
Dig your playing on that cool axe.
Thank you !✌♥
I have the same guitar but in Irish ale. It is probably the best sounding strat I own. Plays perfectly and stays in tune, not like my Fender that when you use the tremelo it jumps out of tune. I payed a lot more for the Fender but I like the G&L better. I got the G&L for a bargain price, so it's a real gem for the money I got it for. The pick ups on the Fender and the G&L are just about equal in quality I would say. The G&L I give the edge to for having a better neck and better tremelo.
✌🤓
Well again I have a chance of buying a G and L Tribute Strat. I just wait to see what your review is on this guitar. Every guitar I have bought I see what you think. Your review are right on and honest. Let ya know if I get her.
cool!!✌♥
Just bought a legacy tribute in sea foam green. I could not afford a American made right now and I am a beginner.
Looks like I made a good choice. I like the tribute more than a MIM fender Stratocaster.
✌♥
Una delicia de guitarra yo tengo la misma de ASH G&L TRIBUTE INDONESIA 2019 y es increible de rika ., suena como cañon Saludos desde CHILE . =) =) =)
¡Hola!!! ¡Hola!✌♥
I got her and she plays great. I do not play as good as you do. But I do love to play.
✌️❤️
This color is great , i wish the color of neck was like on HSS and pickguard was in Tortoise
✌🤓
Another great review, thanks Jonathan! Is there any 60 cycle hum in positions 2 and 4? Thanks!
Nope..✌️❤️
An absolute steal at that price! Swamp ash is getting hard to find now. Fender only has it on the high end guitars. I'm tempted to see if I can find a deal on one hear in the states, as that Swamp ash is disappearing fast, you can read about it on Fender's site and elsewhere.
Yeah great spec for a cheapish guitar !
Hope you will find one soon✌️❤️
Thanks a lot for this review.
I just got mine and it sounds great on a little Marshall 5 Watt tube amp.
What free cable connection do you use with the amplifier...
The line 6 Relay G10S✌️❤️
Hi Jon. I LOVE your playing; particularly the piece with the white Comanche. I am torn between this guitar and that one. If you could say simply what is the main difference between the two in terms of sound I would appreciate it.
Strat sound vs Tele basically that’s it ✌️❤️
Currently deciding between this and a nick johnston schecter in sonic blue...😊
👌
Jonathan, another great review. I know you are a huge fan of the G and L guitars. You had recently look at the Schecter nick Johnston traditional. How do this G and L stack up against the Schecter?
Thanks.
2 totally different animals.. the Schecter NJ has low output pickups.. but I’m digging the tones I’m getting. The G&L has great output and tones that I love✌️❤️
Thanks, Well not completely different animals, actually the same animal “ s style “ with different colour stripes , still stripes just different colour, “output “.
thanks
Jon your playing is so inspirational to me if you had to choose between the legacy tribute or the sire s7 which would you choose
The Sire..✌️
i see this model with blue Packard and it look good
cool!
Love all-wood bodies but not enough to buy one. Have you seen the Yamaha Mike Stern model? This reminds of that guitar
Heard of it...havent tried one yet
Hello, bravo for this demonstration, great sound! But does this guitar really match the tremolo action well?
Yes, absolutely✌♥
@@JonIsJustTooLoud Hello Jonathan, I bought this guitar and as soon as I use the tremolo it goes completely out of tune. How high should the easel be from the table? Thank you for your answer.
@@yukuriptide i dont understand about the table and easel? If you are talking about having the bridge float..you have to be patient. And if the tuning still runs, you will need to work on the nut. If you are not sure about doing this..get a luthier to fix it for you
✌🤓
Hi Jonathan, congratulations on your video. How do you compare the G&L S-500 Tribute with the Schecter Nick Johnston Tradicioanl SSS? Is one of them better than the other? For your style of playing which would you choose? Thanks
I would rather get a G&all Fullerton Deluxe S500.. but comparing a tribute with the NJ, I’ll take the NJ ✌️❤️
@@JonIsJustTooLoud Thanks a lot!!!
I’m looking for a decent standard strat this year Jon and I remembered this video. Now I’m torn between this or a Fender player. Which would you prefer? I think I already know 😂😂
G&L this is way better
Lol.. you know mee well Tom✌️❤️
I agree, heavier guitars sound the best with more sustain. My Les Paul Standard is very heavy with no weight relief on the body and my new G&L Tribute S500 is pretty weighty for a strat but just how I like it and it sounds superb both clean and with distortion.
Thanks for sharing ✌️❤️
My Tribute Legacy weighs 10lb2oz. I'd never held a guitar as heavy before. Wow.
The S500, Legacy, and Comanche are all very similar looking guitars but sound a bit different. When do you prefer one over the other?
If I could i would take all...but since i have some great strats, i'll take my comanche!✌🤓
Hi Jonathan,
Thanks for the review!
How does this tremolo system compare to the one in Yamaha Pacifica 611/612?
This is better✌️❤️
@@JonIsJustTooLoud Thanks, Jonathan!
Hi Jon, I haven't seen/heard you compare them directly, though you reviewed both-is the HSS similar enough to a Fender SSS, or is the SSS in this video much more like one? I got a MIM Strat I'm going to return for a tribute but can't play one before getting-will most likely get the HSS but curious about your thoughts. There's literally no one according to google who's compared them (just legacy not tribute).
Yes almost similar.. but I actually prefer the G&L more ✌️❤️
Hi Jonathan, I would like to know how you achieved a truly noiseless tone? I thought single-coil AlNiCo pickups would buzz a lot
Using a noise gate and being in a certain position helps ✌️❤️
@@JonIsJustTooLoud are you in 2nd or 4th position?
Bridge/mid or mid/neck, or something else?
Jon what do you think is the best series g and l tribute you have ever played?
I prefer the Fullerton Deluxe ones..mainly the bluesboy and commanche
Wich one would you take the G&L or the schecter nick johnston strat thank you!!!
Depends on what i need to do...😆
Would you prefer to play this g&l or thr schecter nick johnston from the other day?
I prefer my Fullerton Deluxe Comanche!! lol
so between this one and the Schecter Nick Johnston - which it the better buy?
You have to make the decision.. I like both✌️❤️
Thumbs up! Great playing, beautiful sound, well, that is because of your playing ofcourse, any strat would sound great in your hands. I have been playing Squiers for many years....who needs a Fender anyway?
Thanks a lot!✌♥
Any idea if it's polyurethane throughout the body and neck? Thank you
its thin urethane ✌💚
Is it posible to change one of the pickups to a Humbucker to make a HSS?
Yes but you have routing to do!✌♥
Awesome jamming👏🏼👏🏼 i have a g&l tribute legacy Made in Korea, mine is second, is there really a g&l made in Korea, sir? Or just Indonesia and USA
You Seldom find one made in Korean these days… just the States n Indonesian made ones ✌️❤️
@@JonIsJustTooLoud Yes, I've never seen Made in Korea either, but when I compared it to Made in Indo in the shop, the sound is very good the Korean sir, and I buy it 😁
@@palmmute2650 good for you!!✌️❤️
what color of pickard you want to replace on this guitar?
Guitar aint mine..I would either go for a transparent resin or a tortise...✌♥
I didn't see any plase where can i buy the pickguard for this model.
You have to order from G&L ✌♥
what type of effects are you using to get these sounds??
I’m using the line 6 Helix Native with my DAW✌️❤️

Yep✌💙
When I'm a better player I will buy one thank you....
✌️❤️
i know that this model can be with baswood, ash, poplar .is it important ?
some people think it is...but i think it's just personal preferences✌💜

did that in my previous G&L videos....
Are you a strat guy, Jonathan?
Most definitely! ✌♥
I love my G&L Legacy, but it weighs 10 pounds, is that too heavy or what?
Lol.. everyone of one has different weight tolerance.. if it’s heavy for you then it is and vice versa. If it’s so heavy that it hinders your playing then it is too heavy a guitar for you✌️❤️

look at my profile picture, I will ask G&L the copyrights for the colours and woods selection, my neck is a MM soft V, babicz tremolo, fender locking tuners and SDs pickups p-rails each knob is push/pull, so you have at the same time: H-miniHB-H, P90-miniHB-P90, S-miniHB-S, in phase, out of phase, all pickups on in position 4.....I think it can deliver every sound possible...:)
