    I love seeing some G&L reviews. Jonathan does some of the best. These are really good guitars. I bought my first Legacy over two years ago after owning a few American made g&ls over the years. I played it next to an American made Legacy in the store for two weeks. I could not tell much difference in the tone between the two and honestly felt the Tribute had the edge. Two+ years later, I still love it. I should also mention a year after I bought the Legacy, I happened upon a 60 Anniversary Strat. The Strat sounds and plays very good, but for me, the feel of the guitar, and tone of the pickups were never as good or as inspiring to play as the G&L. I even dropped some coin for some Radioshop vintage GTs and still the stock Legacy is #1. More vintage tones and better feel. So find the one that plays the best because they do vary in weight and tone. Mine is 7.5lbs. I also had a bone nut installed with a professional setup. 2+ years of gigs and no issues at all. Great guitar for the price.

    I'm a lefty and I've played the guitar for anout 25 years, predominantly the extreme side of music. I've never had a classic Fender Stratocaster type guitar and kinda knew I would buy one later because you simply can't match their clean tone versatility on any other type of guitar. Being on a budget, I was deciding between a high end Squier, G&L and Mexican Fender.
    I'm soooo glad I chose the G&L Legacy Tribute. I think I paid about £400 for it, which is quite amazing value if you consider how damn good this thing plays, feels and sounds.

    Jon you're not loud enough tbh. Love your playing.
    I've been considering this guitar because of the flatter fretboard radius which I really like on my Kramer. All the charvel and Jackson stuff comes with a Floyd Rose. I love them but I prefer a non locking bridge on traditional stats because I like messing with tunings. This guitar being a third of the price also helps. I have a HSH strat that I built myself as a best of both worlds kind of thing and I love it but I miss the traditional single coil and position 4. I think your demo sold me on this.

    I have the same guitar but in Irish ale. It is probably the best sounding strat I own. Plays perfectly and stays in tune, not like my Fender that when you use the tremelo it jumps out of tune. I payed a lot more for the Fender but I like the G&L better. I got the G&L for a bargain price, so it's a real gem for the money I got it for. The pick ups on the Fender and the G&L are just about equal in quality I would say. The G&L I give the edge to for having a better neck and better tremelo.

    Thumbs up! Great playing, beautiful sound, well, that is because of your playing ofcourse, any strat would sound great in your hands. I have been playing Squiers for many years....who needs a Fender anyway?

    • @JonIsJustTooLoud
      @JonIsJustTooLoud  Před 2 lety

      Lol.. everyone of one has different weight tolerance.. if it’s heavy for you then it is and vice versa. If it’s so heavy that it hinders your playing then it is too heavy a guitar for you✌️❤️

    look at my profile picture, I will ask G&L the copyrights for the colours and woods selection, my neck is a MM soft V, babicz tremolo, fender locking tuners and SDs pickups p-rails each knob is push/pull, so you have at the same time: H-miniHB-H, P90-miniHB-P90, S-miniHB-S, in phase, out of phase, all pickups on in position 4.....I think it can deliver every sound possible...:)
