This gem of 1950's television was one of my favorites when I was growing up! Funny, how the years pass by and these classic family shows are banished into the archives of entertainment history, until you find yourself caught up in sort of a nostalgic kick; reflecting on the years gone by, summing the golden age of TV up with the popular euphanism, "They just don't make 'em as good as they used to anymore!" Today, nearly some 50 odd years later, I can marvel at an iconic symbol of my childhood: I own a huge display model of the Cessna 'Songbird' in my nostalgia collection! Boy! Does it ever bring back memories of "the good ol' days!!!"
Loved this show. It used to air on Saturday mornings
Sky King is America”s favorite flying cowboy since I was a kid so I’m enjoying Every Saturday Morning on CBS
I love this show, watched all the time as a kid, love the original commercials too
1957 I watched this awesome video and smile and smile on,wowed thanks for sharing life with enthusiasm
Talk about a blast from the past!
Yep, I fit that description as well. Grew up with this program, Men in Space, The X-15 and the Mercury programs, Dang if I didn't get a MEL, with 105 hour in a C-310 when I grew up. Loved it all. Now, two of my kids fly as well. What a great experience and I've though fondly about this program over years Great to see it again.
My favorite show growing up in the 50s all the shows in that day were the best
What a creep! Both my first & second husbands were perfect liars & cons! I was young & stupid! There should be a mandatory class to help young people spot liars & cons--
Loved watching this show every Saturday AM when I was a kid. Thanks for sharing!

i loved this episode!!
Back in the days when you could watch TV!
Great stuff...
Yes I have a lot of things to say Sky King America”s Favorite Flying Cowboy Every Saturday Morning only CBS.
I wonder if they had to juggle their schedule for filming in Lone Pine with The Lone Ranger which was filmed at about the same time and place.
Large and in charge Sky tells the cop what to do
I want see other shows of Sky King
Type stuff and even foods😮
Guide dogs don't leave their humans under any circumstances. They would not just take off after someone. And even back then, you didn't just take off in a plane. You have to file a flight plan. I watched this all the time when I was a kid and I can't believe I fell for this.
Flight plans are not now nor ever have been required for flights outside of major airports. VFR(visual flight rules) in Class G airspace may be done with filed flight plans but it is not required, in the in 1950s were rarely filed.
I want to see S3 E2 Double Trouble. Anyway I can get it?
dont the humans need a lot of training to work with the dogs?
Guide dogs in real life are not what they're cracked up to be. I saw one leave his master to chase a cat once upon a time.
Sky King was before my time...so where is this set? This place looks so desolate.
The series was set in Arizona, but actually filmed in the high desert of California. No wonder it looked so desolate.
Songbird out...
