  • Are you a veteran looking for a fulfilling, great-paying civilian career?
Last week, the Executive Director of Helmets to Hardhats, Martin Helms, visited BCTNN out here in Reno along with H2H Northwest Regional Manager Nick Weathers. In this video, they tell their personal stories and talk about how Helmets to Hardhats work for transitioning veterans.
Helmets to Hardhats is a national, nonprofit program that connects transitioning active-duty military service members, veterans, National Guard and Reservists with skilled training and quality career opportunities in the construction industry. The program is designed to help military service members successfully transition back into civilian life by offering them the means to secure a quality career in the construction industry.

So what’s the benefit? I didn’t know about this when I did TAPS and I joined the Operating Engineers through their normal apprenticeship application process. Does H2H let you skip the application process?
