... This was actually kind of beautiful.
X3
@@claudialeon985 remove "actually kind of"
It was
It wasn’t compared to Jesse Owens.
@@imexia3571 What does Jesse Owens have to do with whether this particular film piece is beautiful, or whether human locomotion is beautiful for that matter?
looks like usain's celebrating before he even finished the race!! lol
he was! lol
And he still broke the record lol
Yes but he stale win
Rumor has it that he was actually done with the race, our eyes just couldn't keep up with his pace even in slow motion
He should be
Usain Bolt once said... "I'm not even the fastest in my neighborhood!" DAMN!! That's insane!!
rayzrsharp 😂
mate are you okay ?
Wow
That’s because the fastest in the neighborhood was a greyhound 😂
Damn, that's Unsane!
Love how he was putting his arms out before he finished while everyone else were pushing their hardest!
It's proof that he cheated via spiritual plane means. His arm positioning was incorrect, and made no sense at all. Someone was holding his arms, and/or his hands, and/or pushing his back.
That man was being in some way pushed, or pulled by by ghosts, or demons.
Haminette LOL
Haminette LMAO
yet he still broke the world record
He did celebrate and he was excited, I don't blame him he just won the Olympic 100 also at a certain point your form needs to be comfortable, not perfect
In primary school, being the fastest meant that you were the coolest. I was stuck in third fastest. I had that fire inside of me but i just wasnt strong enough. Two years later i have grown so much and the power i have when sprinting is astonishing compared to my friends. A tall skinny lad with fire inside him is now chasing dreams and he is lead by usain bolt.
Good shit kid, keep working out :)
'Good shít' lmao
im a freshman and im schooling out all of our seniors lmao.
+Meegel u guys have some slow seniors then.
I'm currently the fastest 7th grader in my school, so I tried racing the fastest 8th grader and got beat pretty badly. Any tips, anyone?
Summarized:
1. Shoulders back, Chest out
2. not short steps, but still not too long steps
3. Lean forwards, especially at the start
4. Move arms from ca. 10 cm before the chin to 10 cm(Pos1) behind the butt(Pos2)
Pos1: Arm-Angle should be less than 90°
Pos2: Arm-Angle should be bigger than 90°
While moving the Arms from chin to butt/from butt to chin the arms should have a ~90°-Angle
5.Try to cushion the feet on impact and preferably don't hit thé ground with your heel
6. Look straight ahead
7. Move one knee forward as fast as possible and pull the other back as fast as possible
8. Body tension
Jonah my summary just be him
Thanks bro
you know the how, but more important is the why
The way his feet are literally landing super smoothly on every step is so satisfying to watch. All Olympics sprinters have an astonishing technique !
Just look at his form and position, absolutely amazing!
No its not
@@profmor7655 *PPPPPPPPFFFFFFTTTTTTTT*
@@profmor7655 Running isnt just moving your legs you know
@@profmor7655 either way he's the best. The form doesnt need to be like Michael Johnson for him to win.
@@malharjajoo7393 I think his form is actually better the Michael Johnson. Bolt runs more loose, Johnson ran a little tight.
I was surprised they spend most of their time in the air
Humzah Hassan it's call vertical force.
Humzah Hassan
Reducing ground contact time = Faster time
Nah 50%, only bolt spends 60% in the air
its called slow-motion hahaha lol, just kidding
@Crashattacks noice
If he stops celebrating before crossing the finish line I believe he can clock under 9.50 secs
he did that the second time and got 9.58
Dumbass
lol it was going to be about 9.63
Actually the WR is 9.20 they stop the timer late some videos show the time and if u out that in slo mo then it would be 9.20
@@aarvinoth9452 How?
1:14 Did anyone else see that guy go Naruto all of the sudden?
Love that
Ah hhaa
Sprinting is in my Spirit!
0:37 a perfect line of the body to start a sprint
What's so difficult to understand is that all the other men in this field are some of the fastest humans in history. Some of them almost as fast as Bolt and yet he just glides away and gains meters once he can take full strides and lift his head. His top speed is just insane. He wasn't the best starter and he kind of struggled s bit in the start and was absolutely depending on the best possible start he can manage so that he didn't loose too much but no one else in that field has the capacity to reach the top speed he reaches
Now I understand why his 200m time is just as fast as his 100m. the start is just a little less important because is a longer distance. I think. I’m not a sprinter, so feel free to correct me, I’m kinda looking for an answer!
He literally has the 2nd fastest start of all time. Stop spreading misinformation.
Bolt seems to be flying for most of this! Literally his feet hardly touched the ground.. Awesome!
He's also a master in not letting his heels touch the ground.
Every top sprinter does that.
Yeah, I used to heel strike but then I realized that it was ruining my performance because if you do it, it is essentially a brake.
Hydra Sagaria why would you even run that way naturally
Running on the balls of my feet hurt my shins

This sh*t gives me goosebumps, as an athlete I know that feeling of nailing a sprint and feeling the power within to pull off an outstanding performance, a high that cannot be achieved through drugs, a high that I'm addicted to that happens once in a while, when you're in absolute flow state feeling like an utter beast. Dopamine shooting through your system, the paced breathing, the intense sweating, blood rushing up your neck, heating up all your body. Dammit I'm going for a run now!
I saw a "coach" on youtube saying to sprint you should land flatfooted, and thought "this guy is a quack". Love that people have good footage of the best in the world in slow motion so you can see how to sprint properly.
I used to use this video as motivation in high school glad I randomly remembered it
Only someone who has ever trained and compete at 100m can understand the feeling when you seeing a race. My heart is beating fast like i'm in the track.
Usain bolt at the end. That never gets old. Like wtf bruh 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I watched this sooo many times now. I love it. Track is awsome
Lucas Mason
It was. That track is from the graveyard scene of the movie "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly."
Thank you for this. I am 45 and have been training for the 100 metres for almost 15 years, it really helps to see in slow motion. I desperately want to break my 13.2 seconds PB.
Keep at it lad! How has your improvement been going?
My personal best was 11.20 sec
This dude is prob 47 now, how it doin?
@@tableswithoutchairs1168 I am almost 48 and I ran it 13.44 seconds a few weeks ago. I went for a pizza with my coach and I am incredibly stable in my speed, I want to get faster but have not slowed down since my early 30's, thank you for asking...
@@iainmclaughlan1557you’re an inspiration man
I dont know why, but this somehow is my favourite video on youtube^^
mine too!!!
because you see your own potential and what you are capable in human form.

SL1NKY
Ecstasy of gold
SL1NKY Darude Sandstorm
I watched this video over and over again and tried to do the same form which helped me increased my time !!! That was insane!!!!!
You mean decrease lol
Increase my time 💀
But if you think about it his time would have been faster without the celebrating lol but I’m glad he did cause now no one will ever forget that moment
I just read that toe on the ground first is bad yet literally every sprinter in the Olympics does it, and so do I lol
Bizarre he's already slowing down before the finish and still stays ahead of the rest. Stunning athlete and wonderful slomo 😎
THE SONG IS The Ecstasies of Gold , It's from the movie The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
These sprinters are some bizarre creations
lol usain has time to celebrate and still beat their asses. XD
phew!!
He was already on max speed so it would have only made about a 0.02 difference
Lmao
0:49 when you are running away from someone in a dream
😆
Always like that even sometimes we get paralyzed and feel not have power to move anything with rapid Beat of our heart in dream
*_True. I can't run fast in dreams. It's always slow motion_*
I wonder if Usain Bolt is fast in his dreams?
Now that I know the technique, the QWOP record is as good as mine.
But seriously this video was amazing. Watching him run is euphoric
Massive stride combined with a quick turnover means victory.
Look at their upper body, their head. There's absolutely no up&down movement. As a long distance runner, I am amazed! What kind of training do these guys go through?!
Holy Shit... Watch the end part in the slow motion when Bolt "turns on the afterburners".... Look how much faster his legs and feet are at cycling through the motions of running compared to everyone else. This dude is an absolute beast. Those other guys didn't stand a chance.
i dont like how he started celebrating at the 90m mark he probably lost a couple milleseconds off that
Oh. No doubt about it. He definitely lost time. I can only imagine what his time would have been otherwise. Wow!
of course, but he just wanted to win, athlest dont give their max always
true, but i think this is better than any world record. This was the greatest sprint of all time not his 9.58, first time in Olympics and Jamaica hasn't medaled in the 100m for a long time until Bolt came and ran his heart out, the way he pounded his chest damn chills all over. GOAT
The fact that he was celebrating while leaving them in the dust is what made this such an iconic performance.
he isn't trying to beat any records, just win...
The GOD of sprinting
gave me chills
Can't Imagine how fast they are, especially the cameraman.
Lol
how graceful :'(
Looks like the cameraman was pure speed. He deserves a raise.
I’m learning about heel strikes and running on that balls of my feet. So awesome to see. It’s hard to break a bad habit but I’m glad I’m working on it.
i finished the 100m run in 11.68 seconds...you are only the inspiration to me.running god...hats off to u.....
I ran 10.25 I was fast
Whoa Usain Bolt is amazing! He must've worked hard for his genetics
True!
Olympic athletes are hard work on top of great genes
His parents supplied the genetics. He put in the work to maximize them.
@@solsist__3291 and don't forget PEDs and roids
Love that last one!!!
it's called a toe scrape my friend. It limits the distance that the foot travels and helps to maintain a longer ground contact time during acceleration. Thus, more force production in the early stages of the race. It's done intentionally. Chambers and Gatlin, amongst others, have begun to adopt said technique as well.
0:50 notice how they run almost exclusively on the toes, you have to do this at high speeds because landing the heels is not necessary and can slow you down. If you try it for the first time it's tricky because you don't normally walk or run on your toes alone.
thank you I'm trying that this week to see if it will make my 100 time faster.
I tried running and landing on my toes at each stride. And yes, the "springiness" actually makes it a bit easier to pull and push myself for the next stride, and it doesn't feel that I'm punishing my knees as much. I don't actually have the coordination and stamina to actually keep that form for 100m. Sometimes it feels like I overdo it and it feels too springy, and I don't think that it makes me faster, nor is it safe.
*balls of their feet
He's actually flying lmao
DAM YOU SAID THAT RIGHT
Because Bolt is so tall he has the longest acceleration phase of any runner.
this video is brewed for those with a fighting spirit
when i get into a perfect running form it feels like im just gliding
This video is super helpful for improving form, for example bringing my heel to my butt while directly under my body really helped
My dude couldn't resist to put Django music in the mix 😂 with a black guy running full speed 😂😂😂
The song and the video are perfect
Wow their form looks so beautiful they almost look like action figures or something it just looks so beautiful
And the start of the video looks so perfect he squeezed out every ounce of perfection
I ran 12.36 in 100ms.Now 14.50.I hope i will do better next year. This video is such an inspirational:)
he's such a unit!
That’s some good ass running form right there. Thanks chief! 🙏🏼
usain bolt is like a standing up gazell
Thanks. I am studying human motion and efficiency on my own, to be efficient at work. I saw that winners on this videos raises and bends their legs more when legs goes forward. Legs often hits their butt maybe transferring upfront momentum from legs to torso, same time as legs momentum is changed downwards to help get extra velocity for next kick.
I don't think leg hitting buttock would be beneficial..
lol bolt at the end slow motion was just epic
so beautiful how they land almost on their toes ( instead of heel like most people) and by the time their foot touches the ground their hip has caught up and is right above the foot
this is beautiful
beautiful
I used to go to a karate class as a kid and we made too much noise when running so the trainer told us to run on the baws of our feet to keep quiet. 9 years later im doing the same thing and i just realised the fastest man of earth does it. Man am i proud!
Dude the music went along with the eureka feeling I had. I grew four inches and had lost my natural sprinting talent but now I know how to sprint properly and exactly what I have done wrong!
that form was clean
dang goat! he mocks his opponents during a race! Great music
even in slow motion he is still the fastest man
Their forms are so beautiful and graceful!
like a sale down at Lidl
Even in slow motion Bolt is quick
Justin Murupel its true
Yes, fast twitch fibers respond to stimuli faster than slow twitch fibers. But the speed of the movement of the legs is not what produces speed in running. Force application to the ground is what produces speed. The explosiveness that you are referring to is power (force x distance) this is very important in the drive phase or the beginning of a sprint. That explosiveness or power is achieved by force that is applied to the ground, which is done at a slower turn-over the first 8-10 steps of the sprint. I agree with what you said about powerlifters, but getting stronger does not require you to get bigger and lifting weights is not necessarily the best way to get stronger.
Yes this is true
Billy, what sort of training would you reckon increases the force of application to the ground?
I use plyometrics and bounding drills to develop the strength and tension in the ankle. You can develop more pounds of force versus lifting weights. The correct mechanics and the coordination and timing of the foot striking the ground is very important. The ability to create tension in the ankle is important in developing reactive force.
@@billyjohnston47 plyometrics just reduce the amount of time it takes to apply force to the ground, lifting heavy is the best possible way to reach a max amount of force into the ground
Poopy Butt yeah but you’ll get slower applying the strong force to the ground. Plyo is the way to go
It’s so beautiful...he’s flying!
The swagger of this man
Me when I run in a nightmare
His running on his toes omg
ikr complete on it
is that proper form? the other sprinters were also doing the same thing
Do we ran fast if we run on toes???
Clifton Fernandes u spend little time on the ground
+letsgosteelers Yes, sprinters are supposed to run on the balls of their feet
El principio parece de película, que bien grabado
This man is not human
This is my first year doing 100 m dash and 4x200 m relay. I would like to know any tips and trick yall have that could help me improve.
this is such an inspiring video and I don't know why
Sprinting and running is one of the oldest forms of competition and an extremely fundamental part of our nature as humans.
So we're watching some of the best athletes in the world compete in this beautiful way in slow motion with a hauntingly beautiful song in the background.
I can definitely see why anyone and everyone might find this inspiring.
Because of the music

Usain didn't give a f**k about the form! 😂
Thanks for this :)
This is just beautiful
Usain bolt is fricken fast!
Does he decelerate when he's about to win?
He doesnt use his arms the last 10meters so i would say that he is losing speed there.
This video really helped me study the way he runs thx
The first clip... his toe touched the ground, I thought that's bad.
+Jordan Kilmete21 And it's probably good for the competition that he is a bad starter or else he would beat them even more badly.
He drags his toe so that he doesn't have to waste anytime bringing it up and back down again!! No waste In motion
Toe drag helps him generate high amount of force in his next step
It is a result of low heel recovery
Ken O'Kelley he's not a bad starter he's just tall
They have perfect form I wish I could take off like that when doing blocking so I can improve on my 100m
What's your 100m time?
my fastest time is 11.91 sec

Is it going against the idea of this video to put it at 2x speed?
I'm disappointed that he celebrated early, as I can only imagine what the record would be like if he ran 100% all the way. But at the same time, it's what made his performance iconic.
It is helping me for sure !
