- Welcome back everyone. Overall it was a bit of a quiet month as it seems most of the industry has been focused on getting thru "RV Show Season" before really focusing upon and tackling summer. However I was able to dig into a few topics ranging from Market Predictions vs potential reality, weird happenings with insurance rates, and even a major scam affecting some buyers right now.

There really needs to be a GOOD Lemon Law on RV's nationwide.
There needs to be an RV lemon law, period. There also needs to be warranty reform on RVs. Steve Lehto (lemon law attorney) has several videos about this.
Like I said before you deserve a raise. Bish's sales early this year is a direct result in your videos. Nobody does a walk through better than you.
I agree! He's the best!
Very kind. Ty so much
Man, plus one to this comment. Josh, there's a fair chance many RV dealerships owe you a commission. We absolutely purchased an RV in large part because of you and your content. I even told our local dealer that you were a large reason we were buying. Tip of the hat, sir!
Agreed, he definitely studies on a huge variety of subjects for sure. Not your typical salesman, he doesn’t do the “Alabama Flash” style techniques just to sell a unit. Great job !!!
More great information from our uncle Josh. Thanks for all you do.
Ive noticed a ton more scams on Facebook market place lately . You click on a used RV, then click on the " sellers details " and see they are selling the same RV all over the place in different states and towns . Also be worried if the pictures of the RV are " stock " photos . Remember if it looks to good to be true then its probably a scam !!!
Good tip
had this while looking at boats too.
And have you ever looked at the names of the listing people? 🙄
Yep, and when you contact the seller they are always selling on behalf of their sick relative and need to email them. 😮
Well this was the case with my last purchase but it wasn’t what you expected….i actually went to the guys house and bought a 30 ft for 5300 turned out good
We purchased a 2021 rockwood signature series trailer . Everything that can go wrong has.Don't get me started on scheduling with the dealership service dept to get the warranty items fixed - 3 month wait, then they keep the rig for two months terrible . We will NOT upgrade or purchase another RV, until "quality builds" become the focus from manufactures . The RV industry quality standards need to understand customers do not want to spend on an expensive RV just to have it fall apart. Price/Interest rates/etc "to me" are not the deciding factors QUALITY is . Just my opinion .
I'm sorry! We have owned many RVs and I did lots of studying before we bought a new one. Rockwood are one of the lesser quality RVs and your story is not unusual. It seems you have to spend nearly $100k for a quality 5th wheel now. It's a losing proposition for sure. I would recommend buying a used one from a private seller who has kept it garaged when not in use. Don't buy from a dealer, they just jack the prices up.
@@christinestephenson1742 Any trailers manufactured during c-19 are junk , in my opinion . Thank you for your input . Hope to see ya on the road sometime .
Steve Lehto's video about the RV industry has given me pause about purchasing new trailers based on how product liability is addressed between the dealers and manufacturers involved. I expect things to improve if consumer confidence and loyalty is really important to these companies. Good vid Josh
It's the reason some states are adopting these franchising agreements. I suspect we'll see more and more of that.
It seems to work for things like the auto industry. I don't see why it couldn't be applied elsewhere
Agreed, Lehto does a great job covering this subject.
I watched it too! Quite the eye opener!
Same
Josh, you are a huge factor in the sales for your company. Many people who won’t commit will still lean toward buying from Bish’s because of your straight reviews and updates. Keep up the great reviews.
I appreciate that. TY Phillip
RV service should follow the same path as car/truck dealerships. Warranty work done at any dealer that sells your brand of RV. Warranty work gets submitted by the dealer to the manufacturer. And the manufacturer pays or looks for payment from a parts supplier. Make it consumer friendly.
Preach. Seriously
Regulation would sure help cutting back on the junk they're putting out.
My wife and I contemplated purchasing a travel trailer after retirement and have gone to RV shows for years.. I have noticed a decline in materials and workmanship over the years and have pretty much decided to just forgo the idea and stay in hotels, go on cruises, or stay in short term rentals. If I can see these flaws on show models, what is hidden in the areas I can't see? No one wants to spend $40,000 plus dollars for something that spends more time at the service department than in their possession. I like the video's Josh, especially the fact that you show trailers in "travel" mode, so it's easy to determine what is accessible to people when the slides are all closed, I find that a huge help.. Thanks.
Glad to know it's helpful because it takes a surprising amount of time to capture
Better RV manufacturer ownership of poor quality build is needed. You say that the industry has been self policing. Well, they are doing a swamp level job!!
Inferior workmanship seems to be the accepted practice from the manufactures and most dealers now. Not the time to purchase a new RV. Especially without a professional inspection.
Nothing really polices "itself" in a positive way.
I refuse to buy unless there’s a huge quality improvement.
@@ltcajh Agree. Don't fall for the salespeople lies that fill their pockets with your money.
Josh, we have Starlink in our home, it has been wonderful over the past year! We can operate several computers and stream television on TVs without latency issues. We just expanded our Internet footprint with Starlink mesh to now include the garage and outdoor facilities at the property. It has been a blessing in rural America, where high-speed Internet has been scant at best.
It seems a really good option when you're further away from people and metro areas
We have chose to not purchase a trailer or RV unless it’s used and from someone we personally know. Until then we are going to stay in hotels. Sad their greed has destroyed man other people’s dreams.
More and more, to me, it feels like some of the futuristic SciFi movies I've watched are coming true. We truly are being watched by Big Brother more and more everyday. Thanks Josh for all you do. Seems with every new technology, it comes with us being monitored even more.
I drive a 2013 Hyundai Elantra - wife has a 2022 Chevy Silverado Trail Boss and daughter has a 2017 Ford Escape. Our policy literally DOUBLED for coverage on them this renewal period and we haven't filed a claim in the last 5+ years on ANY of the vehicles.
Time to find a new agency
Dad taking the bullet, driving the Hyundai.
Same here! No claims for 10+ years. And ours are not new. 2014 Chevy Transverse, 2014 Kia Soul and a 2020 Kia Soul Turbo and only has about 5,000 miles on it. Ours almost doubled. We were going to get a Chevy Silverado, but not with insurance prices so high!
what state are you in? policy holders pay for everyone's damages collectively. your rates go up if your neighbors have more damages. that's how insurance works.
If you're in Florida, you're not alone.
I LOVE seeing at mark 2:40 those little pop-up campers behind you. I'm really excited manufacturers are taking note and working at helping them make a come-back. So many people (like me) really like them, despite having had to buy old, used models, then repair and fix them up.
The handful we’ve received have flown right off the shelves as well
I love pop ups too! I have a travel trailer but have fond memories of my first camper that was a pop up.😊
Same! Have a travel trailer, but love that pop-up for that nice 'sleeping outside' feeling.@@crescentmoonchild4031
Yes! And someone needs to design a pop up awning that is in some way powered or a manual crank-out. The “awning in a bag” that has to be unzipped & unrolled half-way through crank up of the roof sucks . . Jmho . .
I moved to a much better
neighborhood, drastically
lowered crime rate etc. My rates went up, they do it because they can.
My area is getting worse. I have two trailer parks less than a mile from my home. Mine has increased.
Rvs need regulation. The white lines they use for plumbing (sometimes they use colored) is being used with a pex fitting and is known to leak anytime after a year. It’s pathetic we’re paying this much money for an item and they can’t even give us the right hoses or fittings. The white hose I’m talking about is the ones that look like what’s on the back of the washer. I don’t know if you wanna call it a braided plastic hose. If you want to use that hose, at least use the right fitting. But no, they join it into a pex hose with a pex fitting and call it good. I almost wonder if that’s why they’re putting the liners under RVs now. It makes it harder to see the leaks. I can tell you right now of one RVer that got to their campsite was all hooked up sitting and visiting and one of the people he was visiting looked over to his unit, and the whole underside was sagging. The kitchen area On the outside of the RV had a leak. It’s very sad when this stuff happens.
We were sitting out front of a rental camper and the neighbor next to our blind side, came over to say water was gushing out on the ground. It was mostly on outside so we finished our trip after repairs by the rental company.
They should make the salespeople work in service and fix the lies they tell to customers. Might make them a little more honest
Some great info about scams. I always learn from you every time I hit the play button. Keep doing what you do!!!
Thanks, will do!
Rv buying has been a scam for a long time. I started looking at travel trailers in 2019. I was shocked to find people were financing their RV trailers for 15 years at around 24% interest with payments at the low end of around $110 a month. That's absolutely crazy. In 2019 my wife bought a 2015 20ft Jayco that she paid cash of $5000 for. We've used it now for about 5 years with very little issues beside general maintenance. I look at the price and quality of these RV trailers today - I wouldn't touch a new RV.
GM has been info harvesting for years now via On Star....they just now got caught. It's all over various Corvette forums.
Here’s my surprised face: 😐
I quit my last job because I was working on Stellantis' "data engineering". It was creepy as heck, and I had a major moral conflict with it. That was about 5 years ago. Imagine ads on your dash touch screen, or what is already being done by some manufacturers: paid features. Literally the car has a feature you cant use with paying a subscription fee. Disgusting.
@koyaan1sqatsi is it possible to remove internet access?
@@koyaan1sqatsi I've seen some of that happening. Wouldn't be a vehicle I'd purchase.
I just backed out of a great deal on a new GMC pickup because they couldn't disable Onstar. The dealer was able to find me a 2014 GMC in great shape that I can disable the module on very simply. The newer ones use encrypted data that the main cpu needs or it will not start if you attempt to disable. Looks like Subaru is now using Onstar as well so I will be looking to get rid of my 2023 Outback as well.
"Trust, but Verify." There's sage wisdom in that phrase.
It's never steered me wrong
Josh, I just want to say "Thank You" for all the information that you provide.....you are the "Moses" of all of us RV "Nomads" that wander the Wilderness.....(I really should be in Marketing!) All kidding aside, Thank You for providing relevant information and presenting it in such a welcoming format...you are the tops!!! All the Best! ~Lou
Glad to help! You've sure spent a lot of time here on the channel with me! TY Lou
I have gone 140 miles one way to look at fifth wheel rvs .I don't trust what I can't see in person. You videos are truly awesome and the information you give is right on spot. Denis from Santa Rosa CA
I feel similarly. I am not sure I could buy something without seeing it. I take the trust clients place in us thru a remote purchase very seriously as a result
@JoshtheRVNerd not all people are upstanding like your self and the company you work for. Denis from Santa Rosa CA.
Nice coverage and be aware. When I go to buy my trailer, I will only buy from you...
I mean.. we are ok with that 😆
I told him that too a while back and we live in Atlanta. Should be a nice trip up there that we are looking forward too in the near future!
Yes I told my other half I would drive to Michigan for a travel trailer before buying off the dealerships around us.
As always, Josh, bravo onn your keeping everyone informed and updated !!! ❤❤
I try! Ty
Ummmm, don’t send any money until you see the Rv you want to buy. Even dealers will send pictures of a unit that isn’t what you see in person. Thanks Josh for all the info you provide!
It’s good advice for sure
I also had an RV inspector look mine over before pulling out my wallet. He saved me a few thousand $$.
Thanks, Josh. Forewarned is forearmed. Ready for spring and camping season, not snow. Stay warm.
You bet!
I have had 6" in June. Last year, on my first trip, went through snow.
So, it can happen. (note was over 11K ft at the time)
Starlink has absolutely gotten better. I just came off of a two month road trip and noticed the service getting stronger almost every week. It's not so much that it's download peak is much faster...it's about that latency. I was consistently below 50ms. I traveled down the I5 corridor, across to I15 and over to New Orleans (and back again in that same route). We traveled for January and February.
That’s pretty solid
Ty for the experience and feedback
Agreed starlink latency has been around 35ms on average since heading out march 1st on our travel this year.
if the industry did a better job of self regulating, government intervention wouldn't even be a conversation.
That worked out well for Boeing didn’t it. 😂
Boeing 😆
But some of the states cannot leave well enough alone
Disagree. RVIA ( recreational vehicle industry association), has been a disaster for the consumer. To have a group that supposedly self regulates, the industry has led to inconsistent quality, and overall poor workmanship across all products and manufacturer. The sad part is that the consumer is subsidizing RVIAin the form of a line item on the MSRP sheet RV is charged a certain amount of dollars go to the RVIA.
@@akshonclip again, should have done a better job.
I took delivery of my very first RV. A 2024 Travel Lite Rove Lite 14BH. Looking forward to spending the summer and fall camping again as I did when I was growing up!
Have fun! I'd love to have you continue to hang around and share your experiences and opinions as an owner here on the channel!
Its great how you put out info about everything going on with the rv and travel trailer situations
There's so much I don't see/know but I do my best to share what I encounter
Last July our policy went up 3k. No tickets, accidents...etc etc. We got a grand off for paying it all at once but still. That's a 2k increase for nothing! My wife called around and no one was cheaper than the one we have that just went sky high on us. Something is going on, Houston we have a huge problem here!
Man.. have you tried comparing carriers?
@@JoshtheRVNerd We called everyone, no one was cheaper than the one that jacked us...Why is that?
The huge amount of thefts, accidents, drug use, parts thefts, etc is being shared by good customers. It is a horrid reality.
@@dianneyoungblood689 That's for sure. It's a shame we all that do the right thing have to pay for it dearly.
Not to mention.. the outrageous repair costs for EVs that the government is force feeding us.
They need to make it where you can go to any RV dealer that carries their brand of RV and that dealer must service it and treat them the same as someone that bought a rig from that dealer. Basically the same environment as we enjoy with our cars/trucks.
Love the idea of a full EV Class A. Surprised it wasn't a PHEV first though.....Thanks for the industry updates!
Starlink has always been good for us as long as we can see the sky. It's always better than any other option we tried so even when it's being obstructed from time to time, it's still better that not having it.
We've used it in about 25 states now including Alaska and Montana.
Thats good to know. Ty
The world needs more people like you Josh. Thank you for all you do
I just got our auto insurance policy renewal and it has increased drastically. I’m going to call them and let them have it.
Someone else said the same thing
A few class action lawsuits suits will settle them down.
@@RabbiJesus Yep, that’s what we need
I am switching to Progressive. Its much cheaper. I had progressive for 30 years and never had an issue. But I don’t think I ever had a claim either.
@@mycharmedunicorn8715 Yep, I’ve been with Progressive for 25 years and they’ve jacked up our rates.
Thanks, Nerd. I always read everything before I sign or click Agree. I just wish governments are more proactive in restricting the transfer of user information outside of their organisation, and that the refusal to such a transfer should not be used to deny the completion of a transaction.
It’s a good practice. My grandfather did that
We use starlink from Florida to Nebraska. In western Colorado now. I use it for work. Teams meetings and ssh connections. My son and i play games. Stream live video, and stream movies and CZcams often. Generally several of these things at the same time. 2 years ago latency was bad, over 100ms often. Speed was good and bad depending on where you were at. Last year speed was better overall. This year latency is greatly improved. We couldn't play some games at all until this year.
Wow that's awesome to hear! It sort of reminds me of how cell coverage was around my small town here. Now it's pretty solid for almost any carrier but there were so many years where company A worked good on one side of town and company B worked great on another
Side note, Amazon delivery driver has an electric delivery truck. 140 miles with full charge. He says that's about half the miles his old route was so TWO trucks doing the work of one. Class A will be heavy and interested to see its miles per charge
I'm also curious about range and charge times. I'm not expecting anything amazing.
I'm sure the RV will have some level of solar and a bunch of talk about that but anyone who really knows anything about solar knows you could coat the roof of a motorhome with solar and it's not going to really have any discernible impact on potential range
The possible answer is something like what Edison Motors is doing. They are Canadians, young guys, loggers by trade. The founder wanted a cybertruck and got tired of the waitlist so, he built one with help from his buddies. They are using a small diesel generator to recharge the batteries which, in a log truck scenario, are needed to get up the mountain to where the logs are, and regenerative power to recharge them on the way down. If needing to go further than the batteries can provide power, the generator kicks in. A diesel generator, running at optimum rpm instead of a diesel truck engine trying to make power, is far more efficient and less polluting. Plus, it is a smaller engine, so less fuel there as well. The beauty is, you never have to plug it in.
@@JoshtheRVNerd will have to focus on air dynamics also, to help defeat air resistance. Will be shaped differently for sure.
@@lesnewsom6000 Haven't a clue who Edison Motors is, but my guess is they have a bunch of morons working for them, since any 8th grade science student can tell you that converting from diesel powered rotary motion to electricity, then from electricity to rotary motion to turn wheels and tires is less efficient than simply using that same diesel powered rotary motion to turn wheels and tires. Seems the EnviroNuts have you and Edison Motors drinking the Flavor-Aid.
I just love your knowledge and I adore the way you do your videos, also love your ginger beard!!!! Keep up the great work you're doing ❤
It's becoming less Cinnamon and more Sugar the past couple of years
Josh, I've Had Starlink for a touch over 2 years now living in a semi rural lake area, I've had nothing but good luck ( knock on wood) I'm 100% Stationary, I use it for only my house. Speed and reliability have been great. Coming from another satellite Internet provider, There's no comparison Starlink wins hands down.
That’s super good to know Ty!!

I appreciate that!
Always good to give people a warning when there is new scam and i definitely hadn't heard of this.
You bet. Set my alarms off too
The Federal laws that apply to mobile homes should be used to create equivalent laws for RV vehicles. That would help to stop the trash being sold.
Not a terrible idea
19:50
The problem with that "mileage warranty" is if you full time in the RV, it's probably probably parked for those 2 or more years!
I get that it's not a perfect system but _many_ of the issues relating to current rv construction concerns are stemming from the towing-aspect of the RV lifestyle
It would at least give prospective buyers some clue of what each series is intended for
I would consider a used if I could. I don't see many with beast mode suspension available used yet.
Thank you for continuing to show these. I watch them every time they come out.
That’s because 2022 was the first year it was out - and only at ember for that year
They just haven’t been around long enough
Great stuff as always JNerd. My take on a couple of things covered: lower interest rates may encourage rv purchases and other purchases reliant on loans, but they also hurt savers needing returns on their savings. Definitely a push and pull relationship. Also, the whole monitoring of driving habits is pretty 1984ish and should have everyone concerned about the ability of our hyper technological world and the ability to monitor virtually everything we are doing. Yikes.
It all kind of reminds me of something you would see on "Black Mirror" on Netflix lol
Back before the internet in every home scientists said that the internet will be the downfall of society. They were called crazy, now look at society today.

When you mentioned insurance rates, I just saw a video about general motors getting $3 billion dollars a year from insurance companies for the onstar data
Wow.. that’s serious cash

And shaquille o'neal for endorsing it.
Yep. They also sell to ad companies too
Lets see LEMON LAWS like in the auto industry. Hold manufacturers responsible for CRAPPY production!
Josh, thanks for another informative vid. I get a "report" by email every month from my KIA telling me that all the systems are ok and how many miles I have driven. (wonder what it's not telling me). As to the Electrics, every one seems to be missing the mark. Why not start with gas/electric hybrids ? Makes more sense trying to use technology that has not been fully developed yet. You are right about the interest rates. That is the only thing holding me back from trading up. Keep up the good work. We all appreciate it!
I mean.. the least they could do is share some of your own data with YOU 😆😆😆
Like.. literally _the least_ the could do!
I'm actually kind of surprised there aren't more plug-in hybrid styles out there but I'm also not WELL educated on them I suppose and perhaps there's a factor I've missed. Likely cost related..
You need the Venn diagram. Who doesn't like Venn diagrams?

Insurance by data sounds like an abandonment of no-fault, without having to admit that no-fault works best for bad drivers.
Yeah I'm not much of a fan of no-fault myself
With everything as expensive as it is, fuel prices, interest rates, insurance rates plus the low quality build of campers and RVs and shakey economy, I can’t believe buyers would throw their money at a vanishing asset right now.
My rv is my second home, I wish they them better, however time share or renting a second home is out my income range. I paid 11,000 for my rv that was 2 years old. I used it at least 365 days. At this point I could Easley sale it for 10,000. Always buy used rv.

EV motorhome and how many RV campgrounds will run out and spend big big $$$ to install charging stations at each site, for years to come NONE.
Yeah, and EV RV motorhome range under 200 miles per full charge (per Harbinger's website)...EV automobile sales have flatlined already...an EV Class A/Class C motorhome is a non-starter sales wise.
i'm curious to see how it goes. I do not personally suspect it to become a major market sector
If the RV industry picks up on Hybrid Electric Vehicles like Edison Motors is doing, you would have the range most RV folks want
If you want to go cross country in your RV, it's not for you. Most people, in reality, camp less than 50 miles from home. We tow a Whitehawk 29bh (not a small travel trailer) with an F150 Lightning and it's been amazing! A little more planning, but not only can you power the entire thing including a/c, off the truck, you also don't have to buy gas. For weekend worriors, electric is the way to go.
@@craigm4722 Yep, I have a '22 F-150 "Powerboost" hybrid (430HP/570lb-ft, 23mpg highway w/no trailer)) and tow "coast to coast" (CA to FL)...also have the "Pro Power Onboard" (7,200 watts) so "boondocking" not an issue. So I guess we could say "one size doesn't fit all"...I'll stick with hybrids for now....hoping for a PHEV F-250 or F-350 in the future! 🛻 😃

We love our Starlink. We spent five months as campground hosts at High Falls State Park over the winter. The first few months we would have a few times a night when our streaming would pause and have to buffer. I also could not do live meetings with it because of disruptions. That park has a lot of tall trees all around though. A few months into our stay Starlink pushed a software update and after that it worked way better. We would only have streaming buffer once or twice a week and usually that was during rainy evenings. Since leaving there we have stayed at several other campgrounds with a little less tree cover and it has worked flawlessly.
Man that's awesome feedback. Sounds like it's really improving
Motor carrier trailers use a Hubometer to record the miles traveled for the Trailer to do PM service - hub is just old school turns of the axel
I know it's super basic but that's kind of my point - super old/basic tech is already able to offer us better insights at VERY low costs yet we have almost none of that in our industry currently
40% increased insurance cost for most people I know. Due to the increased cost of EVERYTHING.
There's some truth to that I suspect
There will be no interest rate cut in 2024 - more likely rate increases instead. Inflation is not anywhere near under control and will likely only get worse as the year goes on.
Great info. Thanks Josh!!
My pleasure! :)
Great job. Keep up the good work.

Why would anyone with a brain in their head give anyone a downpayment without being at the dealer
I am in the market for a new travel trailer. I've been doing research for the last month. I have found seemingly endless videos of people with cracked frames. I have learned 2 things: 1) Never buy a trailer with a Lippert frame. 2) There are no trailers that don't have Lippert frames. This totally depressing. The RV industry has turned all of it's customers into marks.
I emailed you through Bish's. I hope you get it. Had a pretty important question that I was hoping you could answer for me. Keep on rocking the awesome videos and info!! You're the best!
Thanks Josh !!!

Interest rates are one of the main reasons I have not upgraded my current TT. When I financed it in 2017, I obtained a 4.5 % rate for 10 years. Its currently paid off but the current rates of 8% or more for 12 to 15 years would be insane in my opinion. Regarding my driving habits or anyone elses. Some insurance companies if not possibly all allow the driver to opt in, to using an OBD device to monitor your driving habits to obtain a discount. Unless I'm opting in that way, my driving habits should not be shared. Regarding the fraud and scams, as a first responder, i want people to know, if you receive a call from someone, saying they are someone or some entity and eventually ask for money for whatever reason its a scam. If your buying something never send money. Make sure you look at whatever you are buying and only then should you work out payment arrangements. Keep up the great video's sir!
Love all this feedback. TY so much for hitting all the different topics!
@JoshtheRVNerd I truly enjoy your videos and the time you take to reply to comments and / or questions. Keep up the great work!
TY for that. I don't know that people realize how much time I actually invest in the comment section here. It's easily hours per day on a slow day
I've literally had entire work days doing nothing but "catching up" on the comments section
I bought a TT from another dealer since Bish’s didn’t have what I wanted. Advertised on uSip for a trucking company to transport it to me. Somebody took the information and went to the RV dealer to try and get my TT. Fortunately dealer knew something wasn’t right and called me. Dealer stopped trucker from taking mt TT. Since I didn’t contract with anyone yet to transport my new TT. If you don’t want auto manufacturers to track you and sell you information. Contact your politicians and tell them to stop accessing your privacy and selling it. Boycott them ads in video. Good video Josh.
TY Bob
Love your videos Josh !!
TY Jessie! :)
Thanks for what you do!!!
My pleasure!
Used inventory pricing is cratering because all of the lemon inventory - basically everything built/delivered from 2021 to 2023 - is being dumped into the market by people who realize they were taken to the cleaners with horrible build quality, almost universally, during this period.
I've been a Starlink customer at our home since December 2020. It has been nothing but extreme consistency since March of 21. Speed has always been there but latency has improved. I now own a second Starlink, as of May 2023 strictly for RV travel. Used it on our trip out west last June and it was awesome. But the disclaimer is if you have trees over the site, you most likely will have troubles. It needs a pretty clear view to the sky.
On our RV version, I have even worked this year to convert it to run off 12volt, along with the Pepwave router and not using the starlink router. We are heading southeast from Wisconsin this year and expect not as great success due to more trees. But it still will be awesome! We only use the 2nd one during rv months. It is paused in the offseason.
Love this input and feedback. it seems like it's been a night and day difference for folks camping in more remote areas (barring trees as you mentioned)
Regarding your residential service - may I ask how populated your area is?
@@JoshtheRVNerd Being in Northern Wisconsin, it's not too populated. Mostly rural everywhere. But the other two options for internet include Frontier, which is not very good or Spectrum, if you can get it. Although I have heard of more and more municipalities putting in fiber, so there's a lot of used Starlink kits on marketplace, as it is better to be on Fiber than on anything else. So, in my area there are many people that have Starlink, but I also believe that it still is open to get service if you wanted to. Starlink is not designed for people in the urban areas, especially large cities. #1 it could be difficult with high rises to get quality viewing to the sky and #2 If all of a sudden, a bunch of people in a city got Starlink, then there is potential for overloading the infrastructure (in the sky).
TY for this!
@@JoshtheRVNerd by the way, need to get a Bish's in Wisconsin!
Thanks for the update
You bet! I won't claim to know it all or get it all right every time but I do my best! :)
Josh, you are the man, great video as always.
I appreciate that! TY for tuning in :)
Got your back dude! Here’s your answer. A ton of us only discovered how cool towables because of you and your videos during Covid. We presently own a MiniLite because of you. (Thanks btw) we rushed out to shows to check it out. Then we decided what to buy and….shows became less of a concern. If a new model does come out we go to CZcams and search for your video on it. Again don’t need a show… so it’s kinda your fault😂but in the best way👍
man.. that's super kind. TY so much!
Man.. thank you so much for this. It's super super kind
Thanks Nerrrrddddd!
lol 😊 ty
Bought a new 2022 Keystone Hideout last year, and had nothing but problems with it.. leaking water, roof membrane lifting, extremely poor workmanship on interior, floor is very bouncy.. Keystone has to do a better job at building their product.. 50K for a unit, I think they have to take some pride in what they push out the door!!
Great show Josh! 🫡🫡🇺🇸🇺🇸
♥ ty so much!
So Sasquatch has been spying on us for the insurance companies? We had State Farm and suddenly our rate jumped by $350. We bought Squatch (2023 Toyota 4Runner sr5 premium) and it was insane what they wanted to add it so I put it through Progressive since I still have a vehicle with them. We ended up leaving State Farm and doing everything through Progressive - auto and home owners.
Yeah that's actually how Sassafrassquatches avoid us
Great video as always! States have laws in affect for industrialized units. This would be things like pre-manufactured homes, classrooms, offices ect. They are generally inspected at the factory by a third party. For the most part the government does not see anything except a sticker saying it was approved and they have no jurisdiction to enforce anything. I'm guessing this is what regulating would look like. Manufacturers can select their own 3rd party inspections and my guess not to much change. Government is generally more interest in regulating you as opposed to manufacturing companies.
I feel like it’s almost inevitable at this point
Unless someone just wants to park an RV and never move it, I can't see any appeal for an ERV.
I'm going to retire in a destination trailer that is all electric. not having to deal with changing tanks-PRICELESS!.😊
You are a GOOD man Josh. !!!
TY Laura. I sure try
