This is the best midrange phone of the year! Bought this over the Redmi K20 Pro because I couldn't justify the difference in price for the additional features that you get. Didn't want to deal with the China ROM either.
@Tommy Gun the IMX582 on the Mi9T is just the same as the IMX586 on the Redmi K20 Pro, it just can't do 4K 60fps. As for the screen, I'm not sure if different panels are being used. The SD855 is a great chip, I'm just saying the SD730 is comparable to last year's SD845, so it still gives flagship performance. To be honest, if there was a Mi9T Pro version with a Global ROM out now, I probably would have gotten that, but I don't regret picking this up either at all.
@Tommy Gun it's worth it if you live in India or China. If you live in Europe like me just get the mi 9T which has more 4G bands, widevine L1 certification , global ROM .
Somehow I still kinda used to have the finger print unlock from the back of the phone. As you will tend to unlock the phone unintentionally from the front.
If you have S8 and note8 there is still no no need for an upgrade.. You can use them min 1.5 years more.. I have my s8 from its launch and ill upgrade when samsung releases phone with invisible camera in screen..

Is there a setting where the light on the screen would not automatically dim in dark places? Beacause my mom's phone is xiaomi and it irritates me when the light on the screen automatically gets dark !
After almost 2 years of every day use I can say that this phone still does everything smooth and fast. The battery health is at 73% according to AccuBattery, I still manage to get a full day of normal use without charging. Additionally Xiaomi released the Android 11 for this phone a couple of months ago. I was tempted to upgrade to Mi 11T but I will probably use my Mi 9T until the next Mi T model.
I was thinking the same thing too. My sd card has had all my music on it since 2014 but thinking about it, I've never used more than 45gbs on any of my phones (that's with the 32gbs of music on my phone rn)

Am I the only one who actually likes the "swipe up to unlock" with face ID? I think that benefits for the phone's security and for the second space you can automatically access by inputting alternate passcode. It's also to avoid extra damage for the pop-up camera because it won't pop-up every time you wake the phone.
I don't know but after the release of Mi 9T in my country i am so freaking hyped, but then after i held the device it's just so big and i have no problem with it, suddenly i am concerned what to buy, Mi 9T or the Mi 9SE because i liked compact premium feel phones, but yes the 9T has better chipset and benchmark (it's 8nm too), but hey, at least both give the same real life experience except screen size, same buttery smooth MIUI, good multitasking and fluid. After a long thinking, then i decided to bought the SE one, i don't know am i supposed to be satisfied or dissatisfied, but until now this phone rock like a beast with 3070 mAh could give me 8-9 hours of normal usage, but still sometimes i feel like i should've take the 9T since it would give me 14 hours experience and not worrying about losing it's life on heavy usage.. what do you guys think? Oh and last point, i don't really like the pop up camera because i prefer a phone that looks gentle (not too tacky) and the camera, both are good tho :))

Been a fan of Samsung Galaxy S phone for years and when damaged my phone few days ago, it gave me a reason to buy a new one. Upon reading a lot of reviews on the best mid-range phone to-date (October 2019), Xiaomi Mi 9T always tops the list so I thought why not give it try. So today I bought this phone and super satisfied with it's performance. It exceeds my expectations and it's really worth the price compared to other premium phones.
Gotto say, I've been playing Harry Potter wizards unite and Pokemon go at the same time in the hot sun and it gets warm in 1 hour of play. Not hot or anything. Lets say from 1(cold) to 10(hot) a 6,5.

@@luvzkitahart9922 when watching yt vids for me the display really is good it's smooth, the speaker's loud and clear enough, as for the camera it is as what the review as said, but the overall experience is good I'd say a good deal because I've done some comparisons to my sister's P30 pro, the noticeable difference I guess was the camera quality since I'm comparing a midrange to a flagship phone 😅 oh and the feeling of holding one is contentment for me because the device is kinda heavy but not so and for me that's a hit. That's all I guess, I'd suggest go to one concept store and try it yourself originally I'm rooting for the SE but instead ended up here tho I'd say a beautiful mistake maybe. 😀

I have it. Bang for the buck, it's certainly one of the best phones available. Zero complaints, beautiful big screen with no notch, battery charge usually lasts 2 - 3 days for me, for everyday usage the cpu speed & lovely screen is fantastic (I haven't tried games on it yet). No micro SD, so I bought the bigger 128gig version.
@ I bought the phone and it was a HUGE MISTAKE. 60fps has autofocus problem, and all modes have a flickering problem when shooting video in the city during nighttime when city lights are on. The official dealer in Croatia claims there are no issues and won't take it back even though it is bought only a few days ago and have their warranty. You can see flickering in the youtube link above.
You should probably point out that the slow motion "960fps" is fake... it's actually half of that: 480fps played back at 15fps with reapeting frames to make it 30fps.

I checked the benchmark scores for the Galaxy s8/s8+ and the Note 8 and this midranger performs better than them all in a lot of areas! That's amazing
This Snapdragon 730 is better than 835 but weaker than 845.So for the comparison,the Mi9T is stronger than S8/S8+/Note8 but weaker than S9/S9+/Note 9.
