- The K10 has been here for 5 hours. Time to start modifying.
Today I switch out the stock shock oil for some 17.5wt to get some easier flex,
and take out the Travel limiters for a extra 3/8" - 1/4"(ish) of Travel.
After the Shocks are tuned up i put some 1.9 RC4WD Deep Dish Steel Wheels on with some Proline BFG Mud Terrains ( Predator Compound)
Im trying to make this truck look closer to the Squarebody i had when i was younger.
I have a little "build" series planned for this and lots of parts sitting on the shelf for it..
Hobbywing 1080 ESC , Holmes Hobbies 45T Trailmaster , 40KG Servo , 7.4v Micro servos, Rear Spool, TONS OF BRASS, and lots more.
This will be a bit of a Trail Truck "Build" Series

Came across this tip and wow what a difference removing the little plastic spacer makes for travel!. Also, I found the easiest way to remove them wasn't to unscrew the eyelet but rather use a razorblade to go along the shock shaft and cut it off.
That's a much better idea! I thought it might be too thick and a pain to cut but i guess you proved otherwise! Lol
@@WastedWages402 use a carpet knife and you get all the extra leverage and it cuts really easy!
Your right not many videos on this little trick....I used this on the drag slash,,,,you can also swap that spacer to the inside of shock to lower car/truck.

You didnt fill the shocks? How far did you fill those?
So all you changed out was the springs and the high trail servo mount to the og sport servo mount

I would do this but im not sure if it will mess with the front suspension(servo and track bar) cause the rear looks up for it just hope you uh can give your opinion of how your truck is holding up, also, have you done any other suspension work on it?
The panhard bar just barely touches the diff cover when the suspension is fully compressed, it worked fine no issues.
I ended up putting a standard Servo mount in (Non high trail)
And 90mm springs to lower it but keep the 100mm shocks, and it doesn't touch Now.
You could also bend the bar a tiny bit if your worried about it but it's perfectly fine
I've bashed and jumped this thing beat the crap out of it and it just loves it lol

Thanks. I took the spacers off my rear shocks but didn't gain me anything. What about putting 120mm shocks on? You know of any shock mounting brackets available to run longer shocks?
Are you still running 2.2s? I haven't seen much for the high trails for more shock mount locations up front yet,
And only the stock few holes on the back

As soon as the snows gone and I can get it moving lol I still got snow up to my hips in the yard.
Northern ontario sucks sometimes lol
This whole week is supposed to be ridiculously warm, so likely will have a mud ride video real soon
