Just to be sure, the host and contributor are objecting to the lack of context in the reading of the sexually explicit scenes in books that are in elementary school libraries. How much pornography is too much pornography in an elementary school? How much is acceptable? Also, they were taken aback at the idea that people without kids in the district, or even without kids altogether would seek to protect children. That tells us more about them than it does about the people that are objecting to the material.

Why are teachers and librarians nervous? If they teach math or reading or geography then I don't see that sexuality of any kind would be appropriate on any level in their class room. If they read the laws regarding the protection of minor children from sexual predators, of what is appropriate for any adult not the child's parent to discuss with minor children including sexuality, religion, any kind of race theory ( note that it's called Critical Race Theory not Critical Race Fact) and they stay in their lane of their teaching expertise, eg math, and librarians have a list of books that are rated obscene or they have normal moral standards about appropriate reading for children, and stand strong in the face of woke Marxist bullying and they have each others backs, then this travesty of idiocy should surely be stamped out. But school is prep, or is supposed to be, for the resl world, real lofe ...past, present and possibili, so I think schools should not exclude books , rather if theyre concerned do the work on it and properly, to the best of their ability, provide a brief overview, i.e., educatuon on it..hetes why: whatever subject it is has brought them there has brought their interest there or has opened their interest or question to it so better in an environment like school to put a small effoert into it than the "coin flip" progress if learning and comprehension that the outside world really is...anyone get ehere Im coming from?.. This "book banning" story in Florida is pure BS. These so called books are only banned in school libraries but are available in county libraries. Anyway, considering that reading and math proficiency levels in America are so low, the children in America are not missing anything by not reading those woke books.

But my kids and (I know many kids) read several books a week cover to cover, and they have read books with inappropriate content unintentionally because these authors and publishers use nice titles and pretty images to attract even elementary school kids to pick up these books, and this is FL so I don't know what's the book banning these people are talking about.
