Hey guys! My hubby and I have been considering moving from the Milwaukee area to southwest Florida for the last few years. We have family there and visit at least 2x a year. Every time we come down we talk about how amazing it would be to live there. We are so sick of the brutal winters. WI can be so depressing. We are an active family and love to be outside! We know our kids would enjoy FL!

Very informative video! I’ve been a police officer in New Jersey for about 5 years now it’s pretty much all I know. We DO get paid enough in my area (about 135k) my whole family is down in Tampa and we want to move. But the pay cut for me would be tremendous

Great info. I never would have guessed Florida had the 2nd lowest wages. Make sure to add in your 2nd part that some states like my home state of California have state income tax while Florida does not. Not having to pay state taxes on your wages is a nice bonus!

Those numbers for Police officer are just starting out while in the academy and first year . I have a few buddies in the S.W PA area that are local city Police and with OT make around $80K/year .

hello, I have lived in NYC for almost 20 years I am a union worker of local 1010 construction union for 15 years and also have experience operating skid steers, track excavators medium sides, front and loader and some experience with backhoes, as a laborer they pay me 47$ an hour and as an operator the pay is much more but I am already tired of the cold and the city, I know that in Florida I will not earn the same as here more or less how much they pay to work in construction either laborer or machine operator I also have a class A CDL. Another question I would like you to tell me which is the best area of broward county to buy a house, thanks

Florida highest police department is fort Lauderdale police I believe. Other department pay low. Florida highway patrol pays once a month and no raises unless you go up the ranks. Dont love in Florida now but did my research

I always agree that teachers deserve more pay as well as police officers. Police officers protect us and put their life on the line before us everyday. Teachers are the ones that teach our future doctors and nurses I always thought teachers deserve doctor pay in my opinion. Although nurses save lives so they deserve it too!

Terrible pay in Florida
Florida pay rate is shit. It’s disgraceful what the average income is. It’s well below the federal minimum wage overall. I’d of never moved here if I had a choice in the matter.
