Ontario woman who faked pregnancy to defraud doulas arrested again on similar charges

- Victims of a Brantford, Ont., woman who was sentenced to house arrest earlier this year for defrauding and deceiving doulas say they’re not surprised she’s been apprehended again on similar charges.
In December, Kaitlyn Braun, 25, pleaded guilty to 21 charges including fraud, mischief and committing indecent acts. Court heard that for months she had contacted doulas, falsely claiming she was pregnant.

She had the doulas go into the shower, give her massages, and remain in close physical contact with her while she was unclothed. Many of the doulas were s.xually traumatized.
What was the point of pretending to be pregnant? What was she getting out of fooling the doulas? I don’t understand 🤔

Some of the doulas that she lied to believe there is also a sexual component to all of this as well. The original charges against her before the plea deal had SA charges. No idea why they dropped them because according to some of the doulas they felt violated by the acts they were made to do under false pretenses. This girl is beyond messed up.
I’m from this city and reported someone for doing the same thing and the police did nothing.

these doulas go through still birth and birth with their clients they feel the pain see how broken the woman is to loose a child is heart breaking what this lady did is appalling and shameful no respect for anyone but herself

This news report leaves out a lot of the more messed up parts of her original charges. She was originally charged with sexual assault but the plea deal dropped them. According to some of the doulas, this woman was doing this as some kind of birth fetish. A lot felt violated by these acts they were made to do under false pretenses. I don’t know why the news is being vague about how awful some of the allegations are against this woman.
Don’t the Doula’s circulate on their sites scammers like her?
Looks challenged in the mental arena, yet still cagey enough to pull off scams like this. Too bad the nuthouses are all shut down with the exception of the HoC.

In reality, she should be spending some time ( 2 years less a day) in jail. She is showing a pattern and obviously does not care.

I think you have to read the details of the case to understand. On one instance she said she was assaulted and faked the audio of the assault on a phone call. Imagine thinking you’re hearing that and can’t help.

She was originally charged with SA but got lucky and had them drop those charges with a plea deal. A lot of these doulas believe she was doing this as some kind of kink. That she has a birthing fetish. She would ask these women to help her not only undress her but help her in the shower plus many other creepy things . These doulas didn’t realize how alarming it was until they found out she wasn’t even pregnant. I don’t understand why the news didn’t go into the more alarming allegations that came out against this woman.
