- Susan Westwood was caught on video harassing two African American women in a South Park parking lot. She called police, and was charged with misuse of the 911 system. Wednesday, she appeared in court for the first time.
She lost her job, her appartment, gained a legal history, got mandatory group civility treatment and end up with a reputation she deserved .
Karma so well deserved.

As a non-white in the US, I stay away from communicating with white people all together, which is sad. I use to have great respect for white people and what they have done to the world, but not recently.

I 1000% agree that this woman deserves to be held responsible for her terrible actions. The thing that’s bothering me is that the officer did not show up in court. Had it been a scheduling conflict or other issues, the prosecutor would have filed for a postponement long before the actual hearing. If an officer does not come to court, the charges should be dropped. If a defendant were to not come to court, the hearing would not have just been rescheduled without consequences, most likely a warrant for failure to appear. It’s the same as any other case that is reliant on a witness. Without the witness or charging officer, the charges must be dropped, as there is no opportunity for cross examination. I’ve seen this numerous times in traffic court. The officer doesn’t show up, either the state drops the charges, they proceed in hopes that the defendant or defendant’s lawyer doesn’t realize there is now no basis for the charges or the defendant pleads not guilty and the judge has no choice other then to deem them not guilty and close the case.
