    That's genius! I never would have thought of using a headlight kit on sunglasses. :))

    Thank you so much for this.
    By the way, will it affect the codes and other brand labels printed on the frame/ temples?

    • @ShadeReview

      Yes it will definitely take off any of the painted info on the lenses

      You will rarely need to as those areas are rarely affected by sunlight

    Apologies for taking your time in reading this. However, I can not find the link you had mentioned for how you remove the lenses. You had mentioned that the link would be below.

    Hi, I have a pair of 90’s matte tortoise shell acetate (I believe) sunglasses, would this work for a matte finish? The glasses in your hands seem matte but I cannot tell for sure. Thanks in advance!

      It definitely will if they have acetate frames

    Fingernail polish remover on frame will this work to restore color?

    • @the1andonlytrav
      @the1andonlytrav Před 2 měsíci +1

      I wouldn’t recommend it. I wanted to remove the logo on my glasses and used it. The nail Polish remover ate away at my acetate frames and ruined them.

    I followed this method in one of my designer sunglasses frame and I completely ruined them. The sandpaper made them so much worse, now I have to throw them out. Everything in CZcams have to be taken with a grane of salt.

      Sorry if it’s too late, but if you still have the frames you could get some polishing and finishing pads that could help bring them back to a glossy finish.

    If that last step is so toxic that you have to wear gloves, how is it safe near your eyes?

    I tried this, already, all these so called CZcams infuencers are just trying to make money by coming up with useless ideas. I've tried a number of these eyeglass frame oxidation remedies, and none of them really do the job. Follow the money, thats why they have these CZcams Channels, just to make a few cents. Sad...

    Do metal frames go thru this oxidation too?

    • @LovingSocialDistance
      @LovingSocialDistance Před rokem

      I’ve had a few pair of metal frames. They get a little oxidation, but nothing at all like plastic frames.
