that looks good, well done. whats the reason for not just using a small drop of superglue? the break looked nice and clean
The frame stood under huge tension. That's the reason why it broke when falling down. I had to close the gap 2:16 .
When doing the fine tuning did you heat it slowly each time to get the surface smooth? I find that when I heat the plastic it loses the shape I molded it into.
Yes. You are only allowed to heat the surface and smooth it with a wet finger. Use a freezer to cool it down beforehand.
Sorry that is not DIY, It is a professional job.
You are right, I change the title.
Cool
great this big jobs thank you
if you don't have the tools he's showing you are going to have to throw the glasses away
I was going to say, those tools cost more than the glasses.
This is AWESOME! Too much talking though:)
What is Blake plastic
Colored Polymorph.
I recognise that music but I can't put a name to it.
Please tell me what it is.
Thanks.

It's from Silent Partner out of the CZcams library. First Hookah Bar

Huh, I thought it sounded like late 70's porn music. But then what do I know.
What is the Green Grinder you used? Kindly post the link.
It's a PROXXON Micromot 50/E made in the EU. And I use a Proxxon 38706 Transformer NG 2/S and a self made foot switch.

Thank you. Why I asked you is because it seems reasonably powerful.@@Polymorph
@@justcomments9326 That's because it works with AC voltage and thyristor control.
Same pair of glasses,same problem
Coating of glasses will damage of hot air
Therefore, it is important to cover the glass with a damp cloth. By the way, the glasses are still in use.
Wtf that's what you call DIY!!!????
(2:45) - When wrapping the frame surrounding the lens, you should have really stretched the tape as much as you dared.
This would have the effect of bringing the ends of the broken pieces much closer together, if not touching.

From looking at the job he did, I am sure he need your 2 cents worth..............NOT
But you have forgotten to put the glass into the frame ..🤪
The glass is in the frame from 2:15 till the very end, you can see the slightly green reflections from the anti-reflection coating.
This guy has way to much time on his hands.
There's another term for
those that make snippy comments when someone is merely trying to be helpful... (I get to put myself into that category now to. Worth it.)
He is wrong. If I had too much time, more videos would come. But when I fix something for myself, I document it. And in the last three years I have repaired and made quite a bit. The videos will follow as soon as I have time. 😉
What you were trying to say is "too much", meaning very, extremely, or additionally. The preposition "to" refers to a place, direction, or position. The adverb "too" means also, very, extremely, or additionally.
