    that looks good, well done. whats the reason for not just using a small drop of superglue? the break looked nice and clean

    • @Polymorph
      @Polymorph  Před 4 lety +1

      The frame stood under huge tension. That's the reason why it broke when falling down. I had to close the gap 2:16 .

    When doing the fine tuning did you heat it slowly each time to get the surface smooth? I find that when I heat the plastic it loses the shape I molded it into.

    • @Polymorph
      @Polymorph  Před 2 lety

      Yes. You are only allowed to heat the surface and smooth it with a wet finger. Use a freezer to cool it down beforehand.

      Therefore, it is important to cover the glass with a damp cloth. By the way, the glasses are still in use.

    (2:45) - When wrapping the frame surrounding the lens, you should have really stretched the tape as much as you dared.
    This would have the effect of bringing the ends of the broken pieces much closer together, if not touching.

      He is wrong. If I had too much time, more videos would come. But when I fix something for myself, I document it. And in the last three years I have repaired and made quite a bit. The videos will follow as soon as I have time. 😉

      What you were trying to say is "too much", meaning very, extremely, or additionally. The preposition "to" refers to a place, direction, or position. The adverb "too" means also, very, extremely, or additionally.
