I was a section man on that line in the 70's. I was on a 4 man crew out of west Danville . We installed rail, ties, and maintained the tracks. The train was limited to 12 miles per hour as it was only 75 lb. rail and not in great shape. My crew laid the last track and ties on Fisher bridge in Wolcott. I helped clean up the derailment they are showing

Where are all the old cabooses and cars?
were they junked?
Can one also find ties and nails along the current rail trail?

@@postcards.to.myself I left in 1977 at the time the line was operated by Morrison- Knudsen as the Vermont Northern Line. They turned it into a walking trail.

The four passenger coaches live on - in regular, daily service - at the Essex Steam Train/Valley Railroad Company in Connecticut. They are cars 600 (converted to "enclosable open-air car"), 601, 602, and 603.
