Is so strange to watch Sally Hawkins talk after watching the movie
You can see Guillermo is in love with his actors and proud of them like a good father is with his children.
Real, seemingly ordinary people who are passionate about their contributions to this film. No fake glamorous, over hyped actors here. They all seem like they enjoyed working together to create something beautiful. Hollywood should look to make films that encompass the passion and range of human emotion and talent. Stop making films just to make films - any fool with money can shoot something that'll temporarily numb or distract an audience from any duty to use our brains and hearts.

Michael Shannon KILLED IT in this movie. He’s worth the price of admission alone.
Doug Jones is LEGENDARY. I love all of his previous work (Teen Wolf, Pan's Labyrinth, Hellboy etc.)!

Average looking people with raw talent. Not the same, plastic look among many actors today. Oh and they are modestly dressed. Refreshing....
