This was a blast to watch. I feel like this is the pinnacle of what obsessed garage really is. Matt and the rest of the OG team always exude a level of excitement and true passion for greatness in everything they do. There always is a certain level of satisfaction seeing research and proper work coming to fruition
This guy's garage is bigger than Matt's, but I guarantee his E39 doesn't have museum-quality door jambs.
There's no question that this is a phenomenal project and Matt and the team as always have done a showcase job. The thing is that this owner will never even partially utilize all this stuff. Hopefully he will employ a mechanic to use some of these tools but even at that the owner would probably freak out over a little oil spill! Some of those Sonic drawers may never even get opened! This is when you have so much money, you can do what you like. Either way, I love Matts way of doing things. Thank you.
I think if someone has so much money to build this, he wouldnt have to worry about oil spills, cause he could hire someone to clean that up. Someone like this just enjoys the stuff he WANTS to do, and let others do the rest he doesn't want to do, cause he can easily pay them off.
I've watched this video multiple times and I still can't get over the magnitude the size alone of this shop. This is an absolute dream garage! Thank you for sharing this with us
Bringing in lunch is a clutch move for a business owner. You look generous and keeps productivity up by keeping people on site. I had an employer who brought in lunch 3 days a week and on those days my lunch was atleast 20min shorter than the other days.

Videos like this are so cool, a dream for most of us. With all of the specific details and model reference callouts, it helps us pick out specific items that we could use in our own arsenals. For instance, I think i'll be scooping a Speed Queen washer and dryer set sometime soon.
Can we please get a final price tag on all of this? I need a reality check that this is something I'll never even come close to being able to afford lol. Sick garage btw, I'm jealous for sure.

I figured the building alone is 200k and everything inside is 250k to 500k so like 1 million total price to build it

Amazing garage and what an amazing amount of work that you folks were able to do in a week or so. I know there was tons of planning, and long, long days, but that is still quite impressive. I have the same color scheme for the floor in my garage that I bought from you a year or so ago. That's about all I have in common with that garage!

@@peterjohnson8631 It’s basically finished but as Matt said in the video they are still waiting on some cabinets, roller doors, the office and the sim room as well as the water filtration and back room to be finalised. Matt said he would likely be back to complete so I can’t imagine this will be the last video on this place. I expect Matt to be back when the doors arrive etc and it’s fully done

So many good ideas in this series. Whomever the owner is I hope very much that he shares more over the life of this garage and his collection. Hard work pays off and it’s great to see someone so thoroughly chase building a space like this.

It's so true you can barley notice all the work put into it because its so neatly placed. I designed my own Route 66 garage/service station. I wanted the external look of a retro triple bay service station, but with a larger interior, so I went 80'x40'x14'. I was able to stash a partial second story office in a corner as well, albeit with a 7' clearance. I added a 40x36 basement under the store side of the garage only. On the store/sales side I have a full kitchen, table, sofa & pool table.
Big question is…how much did it cost?!?! Amazing work and truly something to behold. Bravo!
Watching in amazement thinking this guy must really be into restoring and maintaining and wrenching on his vehicles, kudos to him…..then hear this “home owner John would likely hire someone….” sigh, hopefully someone that would dedicate the resources to build a garage like this, would actually use it himself.
Absolutely astonishing garage and excellent work putting it all together. I don’t intend to detract from that at all. To build something of this magnitude and not do your own wrenching….hard to fathom.

This is very cool and super inspiring. I love all of the thought and diligence put into everything, from the office desk and audio to the flooring, wash bay, lift, tools, etc. I really love that towel bin too! I want one. I'll have to make do with something less....robust, lol. I'm building my own dream garage too and it's been an absolute pleasure. Thanks for the vid!

For the Sonic cabinets, it would be nice if you could remove the Sonic branding on some of the cabinets. Having it on every cabinet on a big install like this feels cluttered. Would be nice if you could keep it just on the end cabinets or something like that.

Hey Kyle. The logos are removable and we have black placeholders that you can put over whichever logo spots that you'd like. Just thought we'd let you know.

Very nice garage. Instead of chargers dangling down from the ceiling, wouldn’t the ultimate solution be to have a plug on the wall behind each car, then run a hidden cable under the tracks, to underneath each car?
Yeah I think then you would have too many dangly items and take away from the clean look.
I don't think normally anyone is looking up that much, so you probably don't really notice them?

Those Sonic cabinets and foam inlay system, create an OCD Nirvana!
That has me wanting to buy a laser cutter and start a business selling custom tool organizers. For the amount of tools lost over the years, the amount of time spent looking for tools it would actually pay for itself. I'll do it two better, rather than just red to show the missing tool, color code like Kobalt red for standard, blue for metric. I also want lift out trays. They can all set in the drawer or box neatly but where I can grab a full tray at a time.
What an accomplishment, all the hard work payed off.
Time for me to do the same, you’ve inspired me to go at it to have my own space. For now I can only do my work outdoor so it’s weather dependent…

Dude, that's friggin awesome. This is along the ideas that I wanted to do (lotto pending) although mine would be a basement level of a 3 story house. Able to fit roughly 10 vehicles. A boy can dream.

9:26 SPEAK TRUTH ha =) . I think that's what partly gives us the fizz. This is an impeccable garage, and I'm enjoying your content. Your comment on the in person car show vs making some content in that time, "will serve me better" is hanging in my mind. I dont do much of any content, as I run retail and our farming opperations. So in the thick, but I need to put stuff out there to multiply and reference. I'd love to know your thoughts on taking business to the next level. I know there is no magic bullet, though mastermind ideas are relevant. Meanwhile Congrats on your space! Presentation is everything, and I'm sure you'll secure more business and different level of clients that trust you without questioning anything.

Inlay toolboxes are the standard for years. Also have fun with the sonic. Been using and abusing it for years and it holds up pretty good
