Rakic fought a technically very, very good first round and got him on the leg kicks, but he wasn't going to finish him. Rakic doesn't have that killer instinct, or the punching power or sheer chaotic violence that Jiri has. Jiri often looks bad in the first round as he tries to figure out the opponent a bit - he lost the first round against Ozdemir and Reyes as well. Then he unleashes chaos and violence, and the likes of Rakic are toast. I have never seen Rakic as good as he was in the first round though - impressive after 2 years out, he had zero ring rust.

No, tactically, you can see he's getting it. Fight his own fight, go after them, head movement, read what's coming at you, I saw some improvement with his guard, but mostly reading the play and moving his head out of the way, and his accuracy was looking good. It's not a mistake when a fighter is throwing everything at you in the first, everything they have, wanting their own finish, and it is subduing your own attack. It just is what it is. And in the meantime, you're getting a read on what they're doing, any patterns they have, spotting the vulnerabilities. So Jiri needs to know what he's doing is working, but yes, the title holder in his division is just honing and developing and tactically is constantly working, so he needs to, as well, but he did good. A lot of other guys would have shelled up and gone conservative just to not lose twice in a row. He is learning how many leg kicks he can take... so checking them, if he hasn't got his finish into the second... time to start checking them?

You are right. His chin is strong, but defence , is bad. Aleksandar Rakić said this, and he was right. It is the most reason for Rakić optimism. Rakić is my origin, I like him, but I was surprised of lack of power in his punches compared to Jiri Prohacka., and much weaker chin. Generally speaking, Rakić is technically much better, with better defence. Jiri is on the the other hand more interesting.
