- Hi Everyone!
This tutorial will show you how to make the classic starburst granny square. It's a really simple circle to square technique that you'll have mastered in no time. I'll show you how to deal with those tails and quickly cover which are my favourite colour combos for this fantastic square. I'm sure it'll become your new favourite! --It's one of mine!
Yarn used for this project was the Michaels Store Brand Loops and Threads Impeccable Yarn in colours: Fire Red, Grape Punch, Brite Sky Blue, Jade and Citron.
If you want to make the best rainbow ever (in my humble opinion) I use these colours all the time and you can find squares and baby blankets made on my instagram account for inspiration....
Rainbow: Fire Red, Orange Crush, Sunny Day, Citron, Jade, Brite Sky Blue and Grape Punch.
Happy Crocheting!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED it when you said....."You can do a Magic Circle if you like, I don't like em" I subscribed to this channel "Immediately" after listening to that, as I'm tired of feeling the "shame" each time I want to make a granny square....SO Thank you for showing love for all those who prefer NOT to use a magic circle 💙💙💙💙
Honestly I think your granny square tutorial is by far the best, I try others but keep coming back to yours. I’m almost 80 , never thought I’d ever get to finish a granny project. Thanks to you I was wrong and made a beautiful purse for my granddaughter. 🙏🙏🙏🥰
You my friend are genius! Just found one of my very first projects, which were these style squares. Not finished of course and so many mistakes on the outer square round. So I’m now frogging and doing your treble/double tutorial, it’s perfect. Thank you 😊
Great video❤beautifully done. Thanks
The way shi is hiding the yarn 😍😍
Perfect teaching method at the corners. Thanks for sharing that beautiful Square. I am going to try doing it.
Your hidden chains are excellent! Makes a more beautiful and neat design! Lovely!
I came just to have a look at the block, and stayed for the great tips on joining and finishing the yarns which will help me be a lot tidier and love the clarity of your explanations, concise, clear, compelling, excellent!
Love this. Thank you for this tutorial
the perfect sqaure ty for tutorials
I LOVE LOVE LOVEEEE this tutorial. I am so pleased with my finished product and I only started crocheting a few days ago☺☺☺☺☺
Best tutorial I’ve watched for this square!! Followed a few other ones but none turned out as well as the one i did watching this :) thank you!
Thank for sharing. It’s a beautiful square. Will definitely do it on my next project. Thank you 🙏 also for all the tips. I really learned a lot from you in this tutorial. Lots of love ❤️
I love the treble crochet. Trick. And I love the square! Thank you so much!
You’re so welcome!! Happy crocheting 🥰
Beautiful!
Very nice. Tysm for sharing
Thank you for not going over the basics and the treble❤. It makes the square look so much better!!
The triple really looks nice
It was really useful thank youuu
This was a great tutorial. I like your emphasis on not having large gaps - and ways to avoid them. Thanks so much! Now on to joining them continuously!!
Sei bravissima complimenti ❤
Thank you , you should be a teacher ! That’s the best expiation i have had!
this was really helpful tysm !!
you're so very welcome! happy crocheting :)
I have finally understood and can make a granny square with you teaching it. Sometimes you just need to see it and hear it before you can get it. Thanks
Awesome! So glad to hear it 🥰 Happy crocheting!
To create the corners, if you want to use DC but still get a nice square then use half DC clusters along the sides between the corners.
Mine came out wavy like a flower
Absolutely love this square! I am working on a granny square tank top and was wondering if you had any tips on making this pattern into a triangle? Any information is greatly appreciated! 🙏💕
I hate making trebles! For my squaring off round, I like to use XDCs in the corners; and then on the sides, I do (2 DC, 1 HDC) and (1 HDC, 2 DC).
Awesome tutorial... if I use join as you go method how do you attach the corners, would I do trebles rather than double crochets ?
Hi ! Here’s a really great tutorial on joining these squares:

@@nautikrallcrochet hi thank you and did find that tutoriall right after I asked that question :)
Can you tell me please , approximately how many squares do I need for a twin size blanket?
In theory could you just keep going with the yellow row until it's a full size blanket?
Hi can you please help me with the pattern of sunburst granny square 20 cm by 20 cm I'm helping the old grannies at our retirement village please help.
In the case of the purple showing through, if you back whipped it all the way around, it would’ve looked intentional on the back.🤷🏻♀️
You need to slow down a little
You are very fast.Need to show slowly.
Sorry, dislike was not meant to be,,, just a misplaced finger!,
