Every time I click on an Igor video he's in a smaller boat.
And I am bigger (fatter) ... :)
🤣 😂 He's a madman 😂he use his balls as the displacement for the boats. That boat is way too small for me.
That's called sailing life financing.
Work smarter, not harder
Brilliant! The smaller the boat, the greater the sport!
Thanks 🍻
Love it. People tell me that a sunfish doesn't work for camping, but I've done it and your boat is even smaller.
It is not about the boat 😊
man i was worried about my us yauct 18 being able to handle 2-3 ft waves at 6 sec intervals. then I see you do this and think I can actually do it! thank you for posting this video I enjoyed it
Thanks 🙏
Especially extreme with no deep keel wow!
With an orza is normql for a dinghy
We meet again…well sort of. Thank you for the clip!
What a colorful video. Looked like paradise.
That is certified badassery right there!
Respect from Indonesia.!! 😎👍
😊
Mantap
ive watched this video 3 years ago when i was in highschool and it inspired me to do that adventure someday ... that day never came but i have never been so sure like now that it would be very soon.
Easy Aces You can do it!
Thanks for documenting this, Igor. Looked like a fun little trip. I watch this regularly to keep me inspired.
Thanks Asher!
Amazing. I am utterly impressed beyond words. Such strength and bravery.
Thanks 🙂
Безумству храбрых поём мы песни!!!!!!))))
Привет из Санкт-Петербурга!!!!!
Petit bateau grands plaisirs. Enjoy!
Thanks! When you can touch the water with hands than the boat is the right size :)
cool little boat.
🍻
Love this!
Nice rig on your Portland Pudgie. Sitting on floor sure makes them stable enough.
thank you Igor!
😊
What a cute little boat!
Looks like a Portland Pudgy. Those are Awesome. I always wondered what it would be like to do a long distance sail in one of those.
I was thinking the same. Unless their us a European boat of similar design.
Cool adventure great little Portland Pudgy
I’ve got to give this guy credit. 2.3meter (6 1/2ft) boat...... I can feel my back and knees ready to explode just thinking about it. But I really wish I could still do things like that. Good job my man!
Thanks 😊
Igor in a wonderful way, you are nuts, keep sailing
Igor is a warrior seas impressed!
That was a bit warmer than Norway LOL
Igor respekt.ich bin 2oo2 von trget nach thailand gesegelt mein boot war 33 foot ich brauchte 2monat.aber das was du gemacht hast ist etwas auergewoenliches bravo meine bewunderung.adam

Now I think I can say that I have seen it all. Incredible. 🇦🇺👍
Thanks 😊
Just beautiful, the music was fabulous too.
Thanks 🙏🙌
Daggerboards! A real performance dinghy.
😉
Si, ya sabemos que vienes de UPDT
UPDT is the best :)
Great trip. I'd like you to go again in a little smaller boat!
That is the smallest I fit in and not sink it 😊
Чудеса в решет!))
You rock Igor....friggin love your adventurous spirit!!
👍Евгений Гвоздев на яхте "Саид" 3метра 30см сделал свою вторую кругосветку. Есть примеры для подражания .
Amazing story! And there is a few more sailors who have done similar.
What a great boat, better than a Sabot.
:)
Amazing. Looks like a Portland Pudgy, a very fine little boat. Great video. thanks for posting.
Portland pudgy yes.
I'm years late to the party, but that is an awesome little boat!
👍🍻
Outstanding! Greetings from the Chesapeake Bay
Thanks 🍻
ok, gracias, igor
Hey Igor - what an excellent adventure!!! Very very cool :D
I love how you say every sailing day was a joy! Wishing you many great adventures and great health always :D
Thanks :-)
Great music and excellent hat!
😄👍🍻
May I know what is the music track played?
I think it sounds like "Amélie Soundtrack - La Valse d'Amelie" by
Yann Tiersen.Pls correct me if I am wrong.
you are the man! its about any way you can!
I do love watching your videos started with your learning to sail and was excellent . So much I went and got a little yacht and spend my free days keeping the tell tails happy thank you. ! Could I ask where to get your hat from this trip it’s so different it’s cool.
Thanks 🙏 kavu.com/products/chillba
That is brilliant and a gennaker, I think you even have a bit of induced aeration under your hull!
:-)
U need to do a video answering some questions dude
How do you poop, what safety equipment, what do you do in a storm
Etc
Good idea! Should do it once 😊
красссавчик! для яхт релакса не надо много метров! :)
If you can't touch the water while sailing than the boat is to big :)
Fantastic! Thanks!
🙌👍🍻
Whow sailing pure...
👍🍻
Cool! Such a little fun boat!
Thanks 😊
Awesome! Should be called THINGY as it seems not yet to be a dinghy. Respect.
Awesome boat for the R2AK
I will not win but will get to the end of race no matter what :)
Simply Amazing! You are my Hero. Those Dagger boards...lol
:)

You can do it!
Wonderful video. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks :)
i hope there is more video of you sailing with these boat sir
Unfortunately I sold the boat.
too bad sir...i love more small sail boat under 10feet sailling a long cross it look impressive compare to typical 20plus feet sail yatch...love seeing more of your video sir
Somho meu ..parabéns 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷👏👏👏
Thanks 🙏
Very luxurious... A great video!
A great video! Thanks!
Thanks!
I liked it. and I was very interested by the details shown in the video.
Is she a home made dinghy?
I am actually trying to build a small boat (2,60 m) which is able to use rowing and saling. The bottom is a surfboard which failed the paddle test so I am putting a hull on with a round bow inspired by the scow boats vith an optimist dagger board when used at sailing.
It’s Portland pudgy.
Well done Igor,
I´m planning summer 2018 crossing the mediterrain sea from Otranto, Italy to the coast of albania, then down to greece as far as my folding canue ( MTW Kolibri III) brings me :D . I have 2 of them, so I´m still deciding if i just take one with a rig or take 2 as a catamaran, Like the Genua you have made with the trimming in front... good work !
Thomas Wohlfeld cool! Film it!
Kakav Video, svaka cast 👍
Hvala
very nice sailboat captain.
Awesome video, love the scenery, great job.
Thanks!
Thank you! Splendidly!
:)
j'adore..... La vie en liberté....
Great video 👏
🙌🍻
This is a dream. Grigori Catamaran Navigator👍👍👍⚓
:)
Imagine surfing down a big wave on one of these PP's!
I think the big wave would not make it 😂
One time I tried to sail an Optimist in the sound and it made me nervous because there wasn't much freeboard left with my weight. The Portland Pudgy looks like it has more freeboard than an Optimist.
Yes. It can carry 2 people easily but it is very slow boat for sailing.
Great little adventure. I'm amazed, that you could lie stretched out in the cockpit ;-)
The boat is 2,4m long but the flor is level all the way so I could sleep normaly. I am 1,9m :)
beautiful !
🙏🙌🍻
Longest trip yet in a Portland Pudgy sailing dinghy!
Is there a DIY website showing how he rigged up the spin pole? Great job on the adventure/video.
It is easy. One rope pulling down and two ropes for left and right adjustment.
I'd lso love a bit more detail too igor. Thanks. As I'm planning to. Buy a portland pudgy also.
Connect pole to the mast as spinnaker pole. Put 2 ropes from the pole through eyes on the bow and back on deck.
@@IgorStropnik
Thanks Igor, but maybe I'm just ignorant. I was under the impression there was no ring or method of attachment to the mast for a spin pole. I think it was that question that was in my head when I commented. So my question really was, how did you attach the spin pole to the mast?
@@jeremyrainman I put ring on the mast with rivets. Just as any sailboat has for spinnaker pole. Than I bought small end for spinnaker pole and put it on alu pole. For attaching ropes I used screw with ring and put it through alu pole and than washer and nut. I would send you pictures but I sold the boat yeras ago.
Congratulations bro, you realised my dream! I would like to do the same than you but not with sailing instead with an inflatable boat. I just got an intex mariner 4 inflatable boat with a parson 5hp outboard motor. I'm amator, I know😅
However I would like to see a more long video more from you! All the best for you!
That would be a nice adventure. Send me film if you do it.
Hi Igor. I have bought YOUR Portland Pudgy from a Young German Student. Could you tell me, what year of Production the Pudgy is? As I learned, they have had Problems on the bottom structures and they stiffenend the bottom part. Your reply is highly appreciated. By the way, we LOVE your Videos.
It is 2013. Thanks :)
@@IgorStropnik Ha I was about to comment and ask if you still had it. Why did you sell it?
Devin Holland I needed different boat for new adventure. I bought Fam18 and went to Norway. There is video on my channel.
That looks like me on the river heading up stream
aazing! you are the real deal! (just gave me ideas what to do next summer :) )
Will you list your dingy and what you did to out fit it video? Very well 👍
Unfortunately sold the boat years ago.
Portland Pudgy ? Looks similar.
Yes 👍
Cool from another sailor
:)
Next challenge, across the pacific on a boogie board.
Not sure but one day with small sail boat ...
Vine por que ví este vídeo en el canal esto es un poco de todo
Welcome :) I hope you will enjoy my videos.
Niceeeee. so relaxing
Great Video!!! Hello from California...
Super !
Thanks😊
I love this. We are saving up to buy a Pudgy this winter. I would love to know more about your sail rig, as it is clearly MUCH higher performance than what is offered by the manufacturer. Any chance of a video walk-through of your rig? Thanks!!!
Original rig is too small for sailing with winds under 20kn. This is custom rig with 8,5m2 made at home. Pudgy is good boat, well built but it will never be a good sailing dinghy. Shape of the hull is not designed for fast sailing and the boat is imposible to plane. In 20kn winds and 2m waves I could not plain it. The boat starts to go over bow with so much power in sail. It is very seaworthly boat until waves start braking into the cockpit. Than you have a lot of work that will bring you to fatigue. Good upwind sailing is impossible. If you want to enjoy sailing buy other boat. If you want it for offshore safety dinghy I think few modifications must be done. If you want it for costal or lake weekend rowing or fishing it is very good boat but for that price you get many biger boats...
SMARNAGORA
Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, I understand the limitations. We are primarily buying it as a bulletproof tender for a 45ft sailboat. (I'm tired of maintenance on inflatable hulls.) Yet, there are times when we are at anchor (or dock) for extended periods of time and I just want to go "play" around for a few hours by raising a sail in a bay, etc... I've got a few 8m-10m windsurfing sails that I might try to modify for my pudgy before resorting to their standard rig. (Modified to use an uphaul instead of downhaul).
Great bowsprit - I'm impressed by your ideas! Cheers!
SMARNAGORA
What would you recommend instead that can sail, motor and row?
I've also looked into the Walker Bay 8s and 10s, owners have complained about the same thing - they don't plane.
Vince Alton Maybe something from Topper or Laser range. But they are bigger.
I was really hoping for a better reply to this request. It's difficult to see the rig layout and I'm so impressed by it that I'd really appreciate a walk through. The bowsprit especially.
Very good, thank you.
Thanks!
Bravo bro! Go on...
Thanks 😊
that's hard core.
Can you (or any person who sees this) recommend a simular boat for tours like this ,that would fit two people?
You have to try them to see what u like.
Is it a Portland Podgey that have? They are very popular on sail cruising boats as both a tender and as a life raft.
wow amazing beautiful thanks
Thanks 😊
Nice adventure, and very clever boat. Your hat for the sun is quite funny. Where did you find it?
It is the best hat for sun. It is from KAVU.
Thanks Igo! Do you have a link?
I found it. Thanks!
I have had it for 10 years and is still in good shape. When you put it on had it feels like being in shade as inside is 5mm of foam and it works like insulation. And there is net on your had so you have the best air circulation.
this video is relaxing.
i love it ❤️
Thanks :) Sailing is relaxing.
2.3 meters including the stick at the bow?
No stick
COOL !! ...peace out
Thanks :-)
Hello Igor! I enjoy your channel very much, especially because being a profi you still like to sail small boats. What is this tiny dinghy you sail in this video?
Do not mind, just found it-Portland pudgy
Thanks 🙏 Small boats are the best!
