- I've gotten a lot of comments talking about the versions of this game that people enjoyed growing up. I decided this would be a great opportunity to take a closer look at the two versions and see how they stack up with each other.
- Hry
There is a certain comfort with simple board-fold games with the instruction on the back side of the cover.
i grew up playing the old but got so irritated and bored those times where i never got lucky at drawing cards to get me out of start. its actually big part of why i became bored with the Sorry game overall. the new ruleset allowing you to get out on any number is one i wished for while sitting there for 5 or more turns waiting to get lucky
I prefer the look of the version in between these two. Of these two I prefer the oldest.
My newer version of Sorry! has four. The one change I don't like is the removal of the diamonds. I considered adding them back, honestly...
I am also pretty sure my 2 cards allow you to start a piece. Why change what isn't broken? What children can't understand "draw anothe card?"
I believe the current version of the game has 4 pieces again. Never understood why they removed the 4th piece. The newest edition called Pets Behaving Badly has 4 per player too
i actually have a different sorry than those two and nostalgia mean it is objectively the best! jk its identical to the old one and i honestly prefer it.
Aesthetically I prefer the vintage 1970's version. The new one is bigger and yet smaller to store than the vintage one. Over all I would still choose the retro vintage 1970's version. Mainly because I love the looks of retro vintage look over modern look. I have a remastered vintage Sorry game. 2014 version that has the 1930's and 1950's look to the board and cards. The Star of David outline as Home is what I remember most and love the most from the game of Sorry. I am more bias towards a version that has The Star of David outline for Home instead of a big circle with Home on it. Basically I like the Parker Bros. version over the Hasbro's version.
3 is good when you're playing with a four year old.
I love sorry
God bless you
Too slow explaining
