- In this video I went exploring a creek in a historic part of town that I had not walked before! I had a hunch there would be some awesome antique bottles, and sure enough there were some really cool ones here! I ended up finding the old dump site from the late 1800's - early 1900's. There were TONS of busted old bottles, and I found a few very nice complete ones as well. I hope to return soon and find some more complete bottles!

Rolling Rock is beer.
Awesome thanks!
Those green paneled bottles were made by Whitehall-/Tatum company. They would have had paper labels on the side, usually a cork was used to seal the bottle. 1880's to 1920's. That frosted bottle with the flared top is a milk bottle. A tin or aluminum top or a cardboard type stopper with a little cardboard pull tab.
i STARTED DIGGING FOR BOTTLES ABOUT 1969 AND HAVE NEVER LOST MY LOVE FOR THE HOBBY. i WISH I WAS THERE WITH YOU!
i'VE FOUND MY SHARE OF GOOD STUFF. CASE GINS FROM HOLLAND, WARNER'S SAFE, SAZARAC BITTERS. HOFSTETTERS BITTERS, YERBA BUENA BITTERS, ENGLISH ONIONS, CROCK GINS, 3 PIECEMOLD BEERS, LOG CABIN BITTERS. i FOUND ONE IN PUCE, ANE ONE IN DARK GREEN, AND ON AND ON!. I LIKE TO WATCH YOU GUYS AND SHARE IN YOUR EXCIThtEMENT!
KEEP ON DIGGIN'!!
Hey, Kyle, you're in my territory now! Your frosted bottle held either milk or cream. Some have the dairy's name embossed on them and are the more desirable. Your small aqua bottle is a shoe polish bottle, believe it or not! Congrats on finding some awesome old glass. The straight-side coke is wonderful, even with the crack. And the Lea and Perrins bottle is an oldie! Next time you go creekwalking, keep an eye out for the little glass stoppers for this type of bottle. You had an awesome day!!! I enjoyed it very much, and I'm glad you're feeling better!
Thanks so much for the info Cynthia! I am really excited about these bottles. Is the shoe polish early 1900's?
@@WILDKYLE Kyle, they're hard to date precisely, but from the looks of the one you found, I'd say around 1900 to 1910-ish. It's a beautiful little bottle and a great color. See all those bubbles???
@@cynthiaswearingen1037 I love the bubbles! I can't stop thinking about bottles hahaha
Not to mention that prohibition era axe hand Hennessy bottle!
You can cut the broken tops off of the bottles and use them as drinking glasses or to put pencils or paintbrushes in.
And ruin a perfectly good antique bottle. Pshh you crazy
It's still worth money even if it's damaged
Some beautiful old bottles recovered
Use your cutting wheel to cut the tops and even the broken ones out. You could make drinking glasses out of some of those too!
Yes please more videos like this i also have a big bottles collection in my storage shed but my husband tells me no more bottles as I got no more room for them but I still look for them when out an about nice to see u r getting better
You can never have enough cool old bottles! 😊
The coca cola bottle omg😱😱😱😱
That spot is amazing!!!!!
My girl and I,have found a MASSIVE bottle dump by a river close to our house. We are addicted to digging for them. We have found old coke,pepsi,7up, Vernors bottles, old medicine looking bottles, bottle's we have no idea what they are also. Tons of ceramic bottles.big jugs... We have no idea what they are worth or anything about them. I stumbled on You're video looking up some of the bottles. We would love to know more about all of this hobby, and how old they are. This spot is crazy. There isn't any newer glass there.
I Love bottle hunting vids, you need to make more! I'm new to bottle collecting too but I have picked up on a few things so far. The top of a bottle is called a 'lip' and if the seam stops at the lip its called an 'applied lip' or 'applied top' which generally means the bottle is older (Victorian or early 1900's). Back in the day white clear glass was more expensive to make which is why most bottles your finding are blueish/greenish. Your Wostershire Sause bottle was made over here in England! It is pronounced wust-u-sher and 'Lea' is pronounced Lee. We still use the stuff today 😊 Someone already said about the stoneware ginger beer bottle, but if you find a whole one with print on it they can be worth a small fortune!
Good info & there are some excellent english & scottish mudlark & bottle digging videos also & explain alot more too....
At 11:50 when you pull up that "Old Ceramic" thats a Ginger Beer... which runs about 1880- early 1900's That is a really nice bottle to find.
Dang! There were tons of broken ceramics in this creek. Hopefully I find some complete ones someday!
Gotta dig to get past the busted bottles.
!!!
Kyle u are so cute and full of life. Good thing I'm an old lady!! Loved the vid. Keep em coming. And keep that money maker smile!!!!
Well thank you very much! :)
We go bottle hunting down at our creek. I have found some pretty cool old bottles. Also pulled out over 1 whole box of glass and tons of trash. That my dew bottle is really cool!
Awesome that you are cleaning up as you go too! Happy hunting!
You should so collect the broken bottles. If the bottoms are not broken they can be cut and made into glasses , utensils holders, candles etc. If they are broken you can save the pieces that have words and make into mosaic art. Especially with the older ones. Saving a little bit of history each time.
Awesome idea! I have had a lot of comments about this. Y'all convinced me 😄
You found some amazing stuff man!!! Personally, I love the rare shopping carts!
Hahahaha! Once in a lifetime finds right there!
@@WILDKYLE You take a hacksaw, cut the bottom with the wheels off and they make great motor stands that you can move around.
I really enjoy these bottle videos. You find some really great ones and seem to be very knowledgeable about them.
Very cool bottle finds Kyle! 😊
Kyle appreciate your videos. Since we are dealing with this most deadly virus. Watching these videos helps keep my mind busy. Again thank you. Keep digging
Love searching new creeks and bodies of water. More awesome finds. Was fun to watch. Great video
Kyle! You need to get you a little bottle-cutter thing! You can slice off the broken tops of the bottles & make those very old embossed bottles into pen/brush holders or flower vases or pour a candle in 'em OR SOMETHING!. Not too hard to do--and will make very nice gift items to sell or gift away.
There's a guy in London England that does mud-larking & making videos. His channel is called SyFinds MudLover. He does that cutting of bottles to make vases & glasses & such--he sells them on his Etsy Store too. Check his stuff out!
The bottle has a Massachusetts state seal of the arm and dagger. Great videos, I'll be watching them all!
👍👍 it's always fun to explore creek beds always find a lot of very interesting items
I'll be waiting for the next video Kyle
Great video. Love all the bottles. The blue bottle piece that was embossed John Wy.... was most likely a John Wyeth & Brother. They started in 1861 when John and his brother Frank opened an apothecary in Philadelphia. Great success story.
Super cool video Kyle. Keep it up! Love your channel
If the seam goes only to the stock it is before 1860, if the seam goes only halfway up the stock it is between 1860 and 1880, if the seam goes only to the lip it is between 1880 and 1890, and if the seam goes all the way to the top it is from 1900 to now. Amazing finds I really like watching you and paleoChris's channels I do a lot of bottle collecting, fossil collecting, animal bone collecting, and mineral collecting here in Florida too
Thanks so much for the info! We appreciate you watching our videos. That's awesome you're based in Florida as well!
I like your videos, Kyle! Keep up the good work!
Hey Kyle, I was watching older videos I've already seen an it came to me that you should check for history of a fire there. Could be where the melted bottle came from. It was a cool, weird find anyways 🤔✌️💗
Great trip Kyle!
Keep up your great work.i do the same thing you do .and it's a trip once you find bottles and other things that time has forgotten.
Omg that coke bottle was sooooo cool. I'm definitely subscribing to your channel - that was awesome!!
Fun vid Kyle !!! Hehe takes me back ... i was a diver for BC packers west coast Canada, ton a free time, gas and company boat lol
Kyle , the 3rd bottle that was next to the mountain dew bottle was a small creamer bottle around 1950s the coke bottle I do believe was around 1920s the iconic bottle did not come along until around 1940s or 50s I know this I am from Atlanta the home of Coke, so you got something that I do not have And I am 56 years old and have done this all my life. You are lucky great job.
Hi There: Worcestershire sauce is a ENGLISH product from WORCESTERSHIRE UK. We use it for adding flavour to soups and stews. the Polish people have something similar called MAGGI. its slightly thinner in taste... Bottle Ben Cheltenham
The bottles that have a broken top and have most of the body would make cool candle holders.
Well heck yeah more more more. Have a good one bud and take care
Thank you Josh! Definitely doing more of this!
I'd like to hear finding old bottles and things but I love your finding fossils and sharks teeth those are really cool but whatever you do please take care stay safe and God bless can't wait to see the next
Really enjoyed watching this! Great video! Keep up the awesome work and Happy treasure/fossil hunting!!!
Thank you Joshua! I am happy to hear you enjoyed it 😊
That is an amazing spot. Need to go back and check that after you get some heavy rain. The ceramic bottle looks like a ginger beer and that coke is amazing! The vasaline is common but neat i have found tons of them. It is said cheese burrow it was near were i grew up in NY. Thanks for sharing. Fun video.
Really enjoy these kind of vids bottle hunting and hunting most anything else that’s really old & lost to the rest of the world. I also have to agree with the Sherpa Trailers person, Rolling Rock is definitely a beer, a good beer at that.
Great upload today! Love old bottles too 😊 You should sell the broken stuff in your store. Just trim away the points with a glass cutter to make desk tidies and pen holders etc. I think lots of folks would enjoy owning a piece of history 😍 love from south Aussie
Kyle Please know any bottle that is cool and broken above the words can be cut into a drinking glass and may be worth more than leaving it. Mountain Dew guy is early and he is blowing into a moonshine jug.
I gotta do that for sure! A bunch of y'all have mentioned that. Don't know how I didn't think to do that!
yes more bottle hunting videos 👍
I am definitely planning on it!
Awesome video Kyle.
I was so excited to find out you had a youtube channel too! I have been watching Cris for a while and then he said in a recent vid to go check out your channel and now im binge watching your vids!! This is awesome!
That's awesome! Glad you found it. I appreciate you watching my videos as well :)
Man congrats on that SS Coke! Be careful the bottle hunting bug bites hard hahaha! Definitely a good dump close by. Let me know if you want help digging it! Haha
Thanks so much man! Your videos really got me wanting to do this a lot more! Gonna see what I can do about getting permission on the dump, and then we'll definitely get you down here to help!
@@WILDKYLE I look forward to it for sure!
That would be an awesome video!
In whell
Love the video and would love to see more like it. My favorite bottle would have to be the mtn dew. Keep up the great work.
I found 24 carts in a 2 block area in a creek in Indianapolis Southside blew my mind dood!
Lots of great bottles and in pretty good shape.
I love hunting for old bottles. I recently found my first ever green coloured Coke bottle and I was super excited even though it's fairly modern. I also have a soft spot for the Listerine bottle I found in my backyard when the hole for the pool was being dug as it's what got me into the hobby.
As for the broken bottles in that creek, I'd say many of them were broken when all the concrete was dumped.
Love the old bottles. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching Pat! I'm in love with the old bottles haha!
Do more bottle stuff for sure! I collect sea glass in Daytona and it involves very similar research for the embossed and patterned glass.
Right on bro!!! Those are some cool pieces of history. I really like the Worcestershire bottle, because it tells some sort of a story. Great stuff.🤙
I can't stop thinking about old bottles man hahaha. Love them! I love that Worcestershire a lot too! Melted, and probably used around the dinner table for some delicious food and interesting conversations back in the day haha.
I love the bottle videos dude keep em coming
Great video! Glad you're feeling better!
Thank you Victoria! I feel MUCH better!
Awesome mountain dew bottle.
Love the bottle stuff
I luv watchin ur videos, Kyle!!!!
Thank you Amanda, I appreciate it :)
14:23 follow the trail up to the dump
Please do more videos like this.
I recently found an old coke bottle, plastic but suffered half a burn but the top and coke embossing are good. Youre right, never know what ya will find
Some of these broken bottles can be cut/filed down to make cool pen holders, vases etc just like Si-finds does on his channel. Check it out. You can get a special cleaner for those bottles as well. Also Lea and Perrin’s Worcestershire sauce is from UK. I loved how you mispronounced Worcestershire 😄
Love watching you explore
Thank you Dee! I love bringing y'all with me :)
Great video Kyle. My favorite was the Coca Cola bottle. My family and I recently moved and I found my bottle collection. I’ll make sure to snap some pictures and post them to your Facebook.
Thank you Thayne! That was my favorite too. I would love to see them, definitely post that to my page!
Wicked video Kyle! Those are some nice finds. Just subbed!
11 carts on the day guess lol....great coke find !!!
I love the mountain dew bottle you found.
Love your videos dude! I’ve been watching them instead of studying for my finals that I have this week haha.
Thank you Brittany! I mean, I think watching my videos is a good use of time.... hahahaha!
The aqua bottle is a C.1900 shoe polish bottle and the clear bottle is C.1900-1910 olive jar.
GOOD FINDS !
That Coca Cola from Gainesville was a crown jewel, just waiting for you to find it! Think about how many years that's been there, and somehow never got damaged! The Rolling Rock beer bottle actually was made in my area. It's from the 80's but they are still cool to find. I loved the embossed Mountain Dew Hillbilly bottle too.
Enjoying your videos... I'm in S.C...I have one of the Bludwine and the Pepsin Syrup... Recently found one of the two color Stoneware like you showed... From what I could find out I think it's a British Ginger Beer Bottle... Never found any straight side Cokes.... Mountain Dew was cool...Happy Hunting
Just subscribed!!! We love bottle videos and will be uploading our first one soon! Awesome finds man and can't wait for the next video!
Awesome thank you so much! I look forward to seeing your videos also! ✌️
Great video, thanks
My dad just bought land and I'm still digging glass bottles. I'm tired😆. I think they're more than a thousand of them. Different varieties. Need 🆘 😁
So cool!!! Love the bottle stuff!
Glad you enjoyed it Elisa!
Great fines
Awesome video! Another reason your channel is growing so fast!Definitely a change from fossil and Geode hunting! Bottle hunting has a large following! And it has the added benefit of pointing out sins of the past! Creeks were a favorite spot to dump trash. Cool bottles your finding! Keep up with the awesome videos! Fossils, Geodes, Bottles and cool rocks and gems! Can't wait to see what new adventures you take us on next!
Thanks for taking us along on your adventures!
Rick from Virginia 👍
Thanks so much Rick! I love doing a variety of treasure hunts. Keeps things interesting for me and for all of you! It is crazy that trash was just dumped in the creek back then. Glad we have come a long way! Though, I still see so much modern trash too 😞. I appreciate you watching and your comment my friend!
@@WILDKYLE Your welcome!
Love the bottle hunting I started looking for bottles because I could not find any shark teeth in my area! Lol good finds tho
I so want to go with you guys. I collect bottles as well. Keep it up
Half a piece of one of the broken ones were so thick you could make a dozen of todays cups with that alone lol
I know this was 10 months ago but those bottles are still ok even though the tops are broken, You can buy a hand tool that cuts the tops off glass bottles so you can make them into cups. You and paleocriss make great videos too!
Keep up the bottle hunts!
Absolutely planning on it!
Hey great video. When the seam doesn't go all the way to the top it means it's a three glass bottle and is older than the two pieces. I'm in Ocala and find lots of similar bottles down here. I've found some nice stuff in the Gville Creeks as well.
Thank you for the info! That's awesome. I've been curious about the Ocala area!
SlOcala as well....
Damn those are some amazing finds.
Great video as always ty
Thanks so much! ☺️
Id love to see more bottle hunting!!
I am definitely planning on it!
You need to keep the old broken Coke bottle bottom. It can be cut and sanded to make a short desk cup for pencils, paperclips, shark teeth or marbles (or whatever). Anytime you find a broken antique bottle, dream of what else you might make from it.
Amazing idea! Thank you! :)
Bricks are quite collectible. Looks like there's some good ones in that creek.
You should have kept the ceramic beer bottle with top gone . If just top chipped or broke they make them in to cups.
I'm honestly stunned at how many unbroken bottles you find!
3:21 I find those vasaline bottles all the time. Worth $5-$10 at antique stores
Awesome! Nice to know, thank you man!
Find them too, didn't know they were worth that much...
Love the ol' bottle hunts Kyle. Just a thought, some of those ol' embossed bottles with the busted top could still make killer glasses if you could cut the busted uppers off. Lookin' forward ta the next bottle hunt. 👊
Thanks so much Patrick! Been getting a lot of comments about that. I'm gonna have to keep the broken ones next time!
Hi! Just subscribed! Loved the video
Such cool stuff
Enjoyed it.
Glass mfg was not perfected until 1922 so the more air bubbles earlier than 1922 , internal threads grooves are a for rubber cap.
Dude, that's how I look every day to people. 😅 soaked from the river, bags full of rocks/minerals, bottles & trash to dispose of better. 😂
Oldest Coke bottle I’ve ever seen was made in 1926. I do have a brass commerative bottle that might be older.
Love bottles too.
