La Rochelle added a few more superlatives to its collection during the 4th stop of the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series, while Gary Hunt (GBR) lead the dozen of driven high divers.
Alain Kohl from Luxembourg made his first appearance in the top three and followed Michal Navratil in third place. Reigning champion, Hunt, pulls further ahead in the overall rankings and leads going into the second-half of the season.

It's all good man. I just get defensive because, when it comes to difficulty and risk, cliff jumping is underrated. You can get messed up from doing simple tricks at any height.

@TheHeftyDanielson I've tried doing that, but I couldn't get the headstrap to be tight enough. The forces from flipping are too great. Maybe someone at redbull could figure it out though.

Counts as a cliff jumping trick? lol I'm sorry I lost my cliff jumping manual. Can you please post a list of approved cliff jumping tricks. That way when I do a 540 off a 50 foot cliff, I can know whether it's ok with you whether I call it a trick..

I might do a 360 or a 540. Not a dive though. I'd end up on my back or chest. I'd do a gainer before a dive. Guess it's whatever you're most comfortable with.

Keeping your axis perpendicular to the water is a skill on it's own. If you go off axis then you can land on your back or get the dreaded water up the ass. Definitely not fun.. I practice keeping on axis on trampolines.
I fucked up my shoulder during our the last session this summer doing a regular head first dive from 25 feet. I'd done it 3 dozen times that day and just got lazy and the water pushed my arms and shoulders over my head and back (hard to describe). Sucked..
