    Like the car, like the owner. Both have a kind of pleasant strength and confidence that's good to see. That Corvette colour really works! Awesome wire wheels, suit that machine real nice. I had to replay the sound of the doors opening and closing, it was that good. Thanks for the education on those asbestos brake pads. Thanks for the video, it was worth my time.

    Great selection on the color. Thanks for sharing....brings back memories of when I was an 8 year old kid and these cars hit the showroom.

    Absolutely gorgeous! Not original radio, but looks original and sounds good. Original has tubes, and does sound very good also. I have my parents 58 cadillac series 62 sedan, short deck. Lifelong palm springs car. They bought it in 1960 from a Doctor friend of theirs. Its Prestwick gray, with 2 tone silver interior. Has rare factory AC, and the optional power windows, which all still work, with original motors! I was 1 year old when they bought it. My mom signed it over to me in 1982, she knew I always wanted it.. its still on the road, and so much fun tooling around town in it. Lifelong memories make it super special to me. This fellow got the steal of a lifetime for the price he paid.

    The previous owner of my '58 Fleetwood Sixty Special had the same modification done to the radio. I love it! You have a very beautiful car!

      I agree. I owned a 58 Buick. I didn’t realize until now that the Buick & Caddy grills were similar. Although the Buick was much more prominent with the 100+ diamonds. If you like big. The 58 GM cars were for you😂

    What a beautiful car! I would hate to drive one though, not only for how hard it would be, but also out of fear of destroying a work of art!

    Although 1958 was a slow sell because of the economy. The GM design was some of the best. (My opinion). Lots of chrome and hp.

    FYI: 50th anniversary of Cadillac was observed in model year 1952. 1958 was the 50th anniversary of General Motors.

    No power windows or factory installed a/c on this beauty, when both were readily available on caddys by 58...I wonder what happened?

      This is a base model series 62. The next step up DeVille series had more of the fancy extras.

    Yes, it is gorgeous, and reminds me of the interior in my mother's 1958 Buick Loadmaster. Odd, though, no air conditioning.

      AC didn't become super popular until about 1969.

    • @johnfranklin5277
      @johnfranklin5277 Před 2 lety

      @@michaelbenardo5695 Michael, it want that AC wasn't POPULAR, who wants to sweat in the summer heat? It was that AC was terribly EXPENSIVE to add to the car. On my 58 caddy, it was like a 6000 dollar option. Probably because this car was 1st owned by a Doctor, is why its got it. Thats why it's super rare, most people did not opt to get it, due to cost.

    • @michaelbenardo5695
      @michaelbenardo5695 Před 2 lety

      @@johnfranklin5277 What I mean was it was not very commonly seen, and it was due to the price, about $500.00 or even $600.00, which was a big chunk of money.

    Not original however this Cadilac is spectacular. Windows and A/C would be nice but to me doesn't detract at all.

    Here's an idea, next time you film a car, film THE CAR!, not yourself talking about the car

      Sounds like you have a crush on the person filming the car. Just ask her on a date. She would probably say no, because, we’ll, it’s you, but hey, why not try? 🍆
