kurojima I think "saint" is more appropriate. Think about it, all the flat earthers who funded him are that much broker. So he was actually taking money from flat-earthers.

I live in Ilkeston, and I'm honestly surprised it's taken this long for the hole in the wall to gain the recognition it deserves.

Like some people have been saying Mad Mike wasn't a flat earther he used to say he was and that he was proving the world was flat in his rockets so flat earthers would fund his daredevil stunts, he tricked everyone and lived happily performing his rocket stunts which he loved the man was a legend

The hole in the wall in Ilkeston, which is where I’m from, is actually a very interesting thing. Most children nowadays climb through it for fun but it’s become, in my opinion, the only thing actually any good about where I live. That and the tiny football stadium we have.

there's a Netflix documentary on that flat earther it was very interesting but crazy. I never figured out why no one stepped up and said hey here is a space x rocket ticket. He spent his own money to build these rockets. He just wanted to get high enough to prove flat or not.

I used to work there for a year or so.. was annoying, had to get a bus to Derby, *then* to Ilkeston.. wasn't any direct ones.. .. standing out in the snow in derby bus station at 8am was shitty

I lived in Sydney for a year right next to that hospital. I walked to uni everyday exactly where those baboons are at 0:34 , really bizarre to see it in a yogs video lol

Because he was a daredevil that wanted to go up in a rocket, he wasn't actually trying to prove the earth was flat he just said he was a flat earther because he knew they were stupid enough to fund it for him

Okay the flat-earth guy has a documentary called “Rocketman”
We clicked on it thinking it was about a famous person. Then we thought maybe it was satire because the guy says the weirdest shit, and then we realized it was a real documentary of this guy showing us how he and his friends build these rockets with the hope that he will prove that the earth is flat by eventually getting enough money to build a powerful enough rocket to get into space.

BTW mad Mike wasn't a flat eather he just said he was to raise fundraising money he just wanted to have fun and be a daredevil and they think he probably chose to go out because he didn't use the backup parachute so they think that he just wanted to die doing what he loved.
