I hope you all had a great week, I really was getting bored sitting in the house with all of the crazy weather, so I decided NOW would be the perfect time to cut out my loc extensions.
This process overall took about 4 -5 hours, but the drying process was SO MUCH faster now that my hair is shorter. I love it, and I am so excited to try new styles and work on my hair flips!

I cut my for almost that exact reason, then I regreted,, I ended up missing my locks style look, I had to put them back,, now am loving it again..😉☺️

I can understand why you cut the extensions out. When I contemplate van life, I always think about washing my locs (at 6 years, they’re to my waist now). It’s a day long chore, but the rest of the time is so easy-peasy it’s worth it! But in a van, without access to enough water to wash and thoroughly rinse... you did the best thing! They look very mature, and loc bobs are quite in style now! They look very nice !
I am so tired of those day long hair days lol I am hoping my hair will be able to dry in the sun this summer...I want to be in the water all summer long 😅
@@WhereIsBrittany it’ll dry fine. When mine was shorter, it was never an issue. Now? Hair dryer! 😂🤣😂 Main thing is when wet, they’re heavy! With your shorter ones, no problem, and you can still do your patent hair flip! 😜👍🏾

Looks good! I had traditional locs for 8 years and used a shammy (sham wow) to dry my locs. Made drying time so much easier. I have sisterlocks now so it dries super quick 💛

I’ve been traveling in the van the past three years, I decided to loc my hair back in September and it’s the best decision I’ve made. My hair is soooo much easier to deal with and way less time goes into my hair which I love. We have the same loc count!

I cut off my hair that was almost 3/4 down my back after my man died! That was 12 years ago. Bu now it is almost man cut short, and lavender:) I am 74, and making my SUV into a tiny camper to go adventuring:) Enjoy! I love watching people transform:)

I was going through it and cut my locs all the way off now I regret it and have to wait for hair growth to grow them back. Didn't even notice yours were extensions, good job

Tea tree oil will keep it from getting mildew. You may want to mix it with water or a carrier oil depending

I cut my hair, not locs, about a few months back. Did a big chop. The older I get, the less I desire long hair anymore. It is time-consuming no matter your hair texture. It is also a lot of tension and upkeep when your hair is longer. I add braids into my hair, the bigger ones with the pre-stretched hair and I can rotate it out whenever I want or wear a wig which I have for over 20 years with no issues.
I totally understand that, shorter hair was easier to manage when I was in the Air Force. The tension from always having your hair in a bun was AWFUL.. I big chopped about 3x lol

Keep it waped up in a towel let the towel sock up all the water for a an hour or less,
Then u can unwape and leave the hair loose so it can dry on it's own or use blow dryer if u have one at the time.
