I really respect The Flaming Lips for what they do, most bands a few decades into making music who have made a classic or two keep that “safe sound” that worked on the classic in order to pacify fans into buying more of their music, while The Flaming Lips try to be as innovative as possible so that fans not only have two topnotch classic’s to love, but a whole catalog of great music to enjoy.

I love this band: They are complete Dada Artists (rarely found in today's mainstream)

I'm in the cult of the new concerning Wayne and the Lips. I loved "At War With the Mystics" and "Embryonic" and am really digging "The Terror." I'm not a fan of "Yoshimi..." or "The Soft Bulletin" or really anything prior to that. I think they are at their best when they're cut loose to be as psychedelic and weird as possible.

I really really like the flaming lips, i started with at war with the mystics and slowly moved my way back. Then i moved forward to embryonic and that was incredible. But i cant quite understand the meaning behind the terror, i like a few songs but i just feel like im missing something...

Transmissions From The Satellite Heart didn't get mentioned for some reason so I am mentioning it. *Because it's the best Flaming Lips album and they made it before you were born.

Wayne really does look much more tired and worn down than the last time I saw him. Hoping it's merely age, not some newfound drug habit.

    "More Like Real Life"
you can't ask for a more honest approach to the creative process. steven is one of my BIGGEST under-rated heros and I forget sometimes how much the Lips have given us, the fans, the world. Ppl have been saying its a "bummer" or "depressing"; no - just not a Thomas Kincaid factory lithograph that says the same sick happy crap every time. Very Duchampian!

Wayne's goin full Phil Spector with the dragonfly pin.... Saw them perform some of "the terror" 5/16/13 in NJ... They are over the TOP! Their sound and lights combine to create the most psycadellic experience a performing rock band could produce at this point in history...Vibrated my eyeballs and testicles...Steven wore white face....just sayin'
