  • We got some awesome, authentic pork rib adobo and gave it to total strangers from around the world in NYC’s Times Square. It was their first time trying and they went totally crazy over it!
This is one of many videos in my Filipino food series, which you guys can check out more of by looking at my Filipino playlist here: • Philippines
Also, this video is not sponsored by the restaurant that made the adobo but it's definitely worth checking out Maharlika if you're in Manhattan's East Village!

Fact: During World War II Filipinos used to cook adobo and store it in earthen jars. Well they store it and consume it slowly for a year or 2 and it does not spoil nor bacteria builds up, maybe the vinegar and the oil preserves it. Taste good even if its a year or two :)

The "adobo" is from the Spanish word meaning to marinate which is one of the most ingredients of that food .They marinate it in vinegar ,soy sauce and some spices and the special thing is this doesn't get spoiled easily even you eat it after a couple of days .

Adobo is an authentic filipino dish. So before you guys open your mouth make sure you have references. Spanish era starts from 1565-1898 and world war 2 is i think during 1942-1945. After watching this, my french husband requested for his favorite chicken adobo, usually he don’t eat rice but with adobo he would always request for rice to eat with it. Oh now he just changed his mind, he requested for some chicken pork adobo...lol

Czaree Forres Chicken pork adobo is actually tastier. The only down side is it has more fat when mixing both thus needing more rice to be consumed with it.
