As a mother, you can do that. Kandi is speaking from experience. You can't force a father to be a daddy, it will take a toll on you mentally and emotionally. I'm speaking from experience.

I think if she pushed back he’d probably (I’d hope) make the effort but if not at the end of the day that’s on Marc, he’s sounds somewhat narcissistic to me, they will push back on you and sit back and let you do it for them.

Kenya is trying to give Marc a chance because her dad was so supportive and instrumental in her life. But Kenya will learn that all Dads and their impact aren’t the same. Marc has to drop the narcissism and focus on Brooklyn first and if he can’t do that, she will continue to be picked up and put down by him when it’s convenient. That’s not good for her self esteem.

As a mother you’re supposed to instill self esteem in your daughter as well. The same effort you’re putting into trying to make him be there, allow him to show you he wants to do it without being provoked into having to be a father. It’s not your duty to make sure he sees his daughter! It’s his duty to make sure he sees his daughter.

Kenya is pretty smart reasonable woman. Knowing her own experience and more details about the whole situation, see nothing wrong with what she is doing for her miracle baby. He's the very one who wanted to fight a custody battle over Brooklyn initially, until Kenya was granted sole custody for the child. And this is probably some of the reasons why he lost on that. He's like a walking contradiction. One min you want to fight for custody then in the next you don't have time to spend with your child. He needs to choose a lane and stick with it.

This season is fire. So far, exceeded all expectations. This might be one of their best seasons yet. The cast is well balanced and each one is bringing something fresh to the table. And there's definitely a sisterhood there, even when they don't always get along, you can tell they care for each other. I love to see it..❤👌🏾

I was just about to comment on the sisterhood I see this season so far, but you said better than I can ever. These ladies are actually having conversations that are civil, instead of shouting matches, walk outs, physical attacks, or chasing each other out of restaurants. They still are messy as hell, but there is a level of sisters supporting each other.

What Kenya didn’t realize is that no matter how much she pins Brooklyn on Marc to keep that bond there. There will never be a genuine bond because he’s not willing. It will impact Brooklyn in the long run and even stress her out as well.
I love how Kenya understands how important her daughters dad is in her life. Regardless if she can’t stand the man. It is true, dads play a fundamental role in their children’s lives. As long as he’s responsible with the child there’s no reason not to allow them to be apart of their lives.
Yes but you can only do so much. He has to at least show up and prioritize his time with his daughter. The kids eventually get older and they will see who is making an effort and who is not.

Lucy Lash I have 3 kids with the same man. Men don’t usually take care of small children, yeah they play with them for a hour or so. But changing diapers, doing nap time, doing a babies hair, brushing teeth, making meals, etc. it’s just not a thing most guys go out of their way to do. Wait till their daughter is like 5-6, it will be much easier for him. And besides I mean being irresponsible by like drinking around the baby, driving with her while intoxicated, sleeping too much and not taking care of her, leaving her in dirty diapers until she gets rashes, not feeding her.
Basically if he’s keeping her safe, and loved then there’s absolutely no reason why he can’t see her. And at the end of the day her daughter will love her mom even more for allowing her to be around her father. Each parent plays a massively important role in a child’s life. One parent should not be excluded unless for justified reasons
@Lucy Lash that’s what it looks like. In my work I see a lot of women desperately wanting to see their child/ren father’s involved but few really make the effort and it is not just when they are little.
Having a good father in your childs life is important. Thats where women including me make mistakes! We do everything for them to have a relationship with fathers that arent stepping up.
